"The world outside, is freedom! Freedom Freya, but, it's rough too. And you know, you do whatever you like, and you get to meet more people."
Sonia, has said all that to her during her first visit. She thought as a tear dropped her cheek.
It is okay to cry, but when next you cry, don't cry for the Same reason again." Martin, said, standing next to her as he gazed at her bracelet.
"It is worn-out." He said, raising her wrist and placing them on his palm.
"I know. I have worn it for ten years. So, just let it be"
She said, as she dropped her hand, using the right palm, to twist the bracelet smoothly as she gazed into space, lost in thought.
"You know, they said it's gold." She said coldly as hatred emitted from her eyes.
"Gold, huh?" He smirked gazing away as Freya, stared at him saying nothing else.
"See, they brought us good food! Nutritious food has arrived!"
Shouted one of the jailers,as they all stood up roaring in excitement. Freya, didn't leave where she was standing, she just sighed remembering Sonia, again. She was bullied on the day she saw Sonia, her cellmates took away her meal she couldn't say anything to them, she was equally down with a fever and today, today what will happen?
"I will get for the both of us"
Said Martin, interrupting her thoughts as he moved to the crowded area, where the food was being served.
Freya, looked forward and her gaze met a pair of eyes smiling at her. The fingers had pointed towards her direction, and to the best of her knowledge, non was standing beside her. She stared, not knowing whether to return the smile or not, but anyway, she did beam a smile, before she gazed away.
"Here! Look at this, it's a vegetable. Take eat, you are so pale."
Martin, said, as he found a spot for them both and Freya, stared at him in amazement.
"Why do you care so much?" She asked him gently.
"It is who I am" he answered shortly, eating his meal already.
"You know, you don't have to be this nice to me, I'm not good."
She said, taking a scoop of the vegetable into her mouth as she chewed it slowly.
"Delicious right?"
Asked Martin with a smile.
"Yes." She beamed and smiled. "Thank you."
She Said, and quickly finished the food.
"Here! is this your hair pin?"
Asked Martin, as he gave her a hair pin of a purple color. Freya, looked at it and shook her head in the negative while she dug her fingers into her hair, looking for hers.
"Mine is a sea blue color this isn't mine. where did you get it?" She asked him, staring at his smiling face.
"You are too bothered about little things Freya, be strong. I broke yours accidentally, so, I collected from that Lady".
He explained, pointing at the lady who gave a sweet smile at them and Freya, wondered what all the smiling faces meant.
"She gave you?"
She asked doubtfully. As Martin nodded, looking away.
"Hey you! Freya!". Called a feminine voice harshly.
"Me?" She asked, looking at the prison warder.
"Yes! Come with me, you are going home!"
She announced with a frown as everyone looked in surprise. Freya, looked back at Martin, and met his smiling face. She ran to him, hugged him and thanked him.
"What is all this? I have done nothing!" He said almost tearing up.
"Your prophecy came through, Sonia's as well. I will go look for Sonia, and I'll bail you out."
She said,in excitement, as the prison warder lady, smirked jealously at her and shouted at her not to delay her.
"You are lucky today, and you are already making promises? Don't think your sins were forgiven, just count yourself lucky that you were picked among those to be given fair justice."
A young lady attacked her. Freya, always knew that lady, was jealous of her. She hated the fact that Martin, talks to her.
" I'm happy to be lucky, maybe, your luck will find you someday and, just as I'm leaving, you might have your heart's desires to yourself now"
She answered, looking at Martin, as she talked of her heart desire.
"These things happen, every year, those who have spent much time in jail, in which their case isn't presented in court, and hasn't gone through trial, their luck shines and a good Samaritan sets them free. Any of us could be bailed tomorrow!".
Martin, Said, as he eases the tension between the two ladies. The other lady sighed and went to sit at a corner, but Freya followed her.
"May I know your name, Madam?" She asked, but she was reluctant to answer. "I might be of help, since I'm leaving, " Freya said with a smile.
"Nikki! Nikki Smith, and listen, I have killed someone's lover! He was cheating on me".
She Said, rudely, and turned her back against Freya, who smiled and quietly walked out.
"Martin Linz" He Said, as Freya, smiled and walked out as the door was opened for her.
"You act like you are the Queen, this policy is useless because people like you, take advantage of it. Do you have to talk to all the cell members?"
The warder said to her, and Freya, smiled, wondering what she ever did to the Lady.
"Here she is, Sir."
The Lady, Said, to a man in a well ironed suit wearing a digital wristwatch which she bet is costly. She stared at the man, but couldn't see his face, as he was wearing a dark eyeglass, then she stared at the police lady, who looked at her sternly.
"They had granted you bail, be grateful, as a matter of fact, be indebted"
The Lady said, and took her leave.
Standing close to this man, is so intimidating for Freya, she wished she returns as she isn't feeling any warmth around him, but she couldn't go back there.
" I don't know you, thanks anyway."
She said to the man politely as she made to leave.
"You will thank my boss, he is the one, who has granted you bail." The young man answered.
"Why?" She asked within, standing still not moving as though, the man read her thoughts, he said.
"I think he likes you, these favors are rare."
He answered as Freya, looked up to the young man who just spoke, his face so serious, wearing no affection even though, he tried smiling, one can tell he wasn't a professional at smiling.
"Alright, I will take my leave now."
She said, but the next word from the man, kept her frozen to her feet.
