Chapter 4 Enough

Three months had passed by since Maryjane's accident and while she was sleeping she kept having dreams about the past.

"No no no don't hurt mommy!" yelled 10 year old Maryjane. She kept seeing her dad beat on her mom and she couldn't do nothing Fernando was just 8 at the time and Arely was only five. Her dad popped Maryjane in the mouth for talking back to him and she whimpered. Their mother was lying unconscious on the floor after her dad thought she was having an affair with one of the butlers. He dragged the kids and mother into the black room.

The black room was where Frank did sinful ways and treacherous actions. He had the butler he accused his wife of cheating on him with dead on the floor. He slashed his throat and left him for dead. The kids yelled at the sight of this poor butler. Their mom regained unconsciousness and tried to push them out the door. And their dad locked the door behind them.

He told them to sit and to listen to him and he was only gonna warm them once. He had been picked to take over his family's manor and they were moving there and would live there forever. He warned them they wouldn't leave the manor no matter what and that if they did leave , they'd end up just like the butler. He asked if they understood and Marisol and the two kids agreed except Maryjane. Marisol told Maryjane to agree but Maryjane sat up and said she had enough of daddy hurting mommy. Frank had a compassionate look on his face as he held his arms out and told Maryjane to come over and as she did completely out of the random Frank told her to stick her tongue out and Maryjane not knowing what was going to happen with the same knife he slashed the butlers throat with he slashed off Maryjane's tongue.

Maryjane woke up in sweats and coughing remembering the tragic event. The monitors were beeping fast and loud, Dr Russo came in and tried to calm Maryjane down. He told her to breathe calmly and steady. Once she was calm and back to a regular heartbeat , he checked her vitals and asked if she had a nightmare and she nodded yes. "Same one as always?" She tried to smile through her tear filled face but Dr Russo knew she had been through a lot.

After a couple days, Maryjane was back to normal. Fernando and Arely were wishing patiently by Maryjane's door for her to walk out. "We have a surprise for you " they smiled suspiciously. Maryjane raised her hands up in question and they told her "we're not gonna spoil it!" squealed Arely. Maryjane rolled her eyes and smiled and tied her big black curly hair up in a bun. The three headed downstairs , they covered Maryjane's eyes and uncovered them as soon as she got into the kitchen. Maryjane then had a flashback as to why she had been hurt and knowing what she knew she had to get out of there.
