Chapter 6 Olima Begging

Nathan dragged Olima out of the mansion, and she sobbed and begged him, "Please, sir, don't throw me out. I don't have anywhere to go. Please, Nathan..."

Olima cried, and Nathan replied, "I'm sorry, small madam, but I cannot help you now. You have to leave this house."

Nathan was also worried, as he didn't know what Olima had done.

He had seen her when she returned home, running back into the house, and now she was sobbing heavily while Mrs. Gina ordered him to throw her outside.

Olima pleaded, "Please don't throw me out. This is my father's house. I have nowhere else to go, please."

Nathan let go of Olima's hands and raked his short black hair in frustration.

He was dark-skinned and of average height.

Mrs. Gina stepped out of the mansion and shouted, "Nathan! Is that witch still outside?"

Nathan glanced at Olima in panic and pulled the gate open as he replied, "No, Madam. I have sent her outside."

Nathan wasn't ready to lose his job, so he opened the gate and told Olima to leave.

Mia stepped out of the mansion and followed her mother toward the gate.

Mrs. Gina asked, "Then who am I seeing standing at the gate with you, Nathan? I said throw her out now!"

Mrs. Gina descended from the mansion and rushed to the gate.

She met Olima and Nathan at the gate, and she used both hands to push Olima completely outside, saying, "Get out! And don't let me see you here again. Otherwise, I will kill you myself for daring to poison my daughter and me. Leave!"

Nathan stood in frustration, watching them.

Tears flooded Olima's eyes as she knelt and begged her stepmother, "Please, Ma, I don't have anywhere else to go. You cannot throw me out tonight. It's late..."

Olima cried, knowing the estate was heavily guarded by security men, but she was still scared of the bad boys lurking around who might harm her.

Mrs. Gina asked, "And how is that my concern? Why didn't you think about the bad boys living around when you dared to poison my daughter and me? Nathan!" Mrs. Gina called.

Nathan immediately appeared by her side. "Yes, Madam."

Mrs. Gina said, "Lock this gate, and if I see her inside this compound again, I will arrest you both and jail you for attempting to kill my daughter and me. Lock this gate now!"

Nathan quickly shut the gate on Olima, and she stood up from the ground and rushed to the gate, banging on it heavily while screaming, "Nathan! Open this gate! Please! Don't lock me out! No!"

Olima sobbed as she banged on the gate, but Nathan had already locked it from within.

Mrs. Gina said, "Nonsense! Nathan, don't ever open this gate for her again or let her into this compound! Is that understood?"

Nathan shakily replied, "Yes, Madam!"

Nathan was a 35-year-old black man who needed his job as a gatekeeper to take care of his family and new wife at home. He couldn't risk losing his job, even though he pitied Olima.

He had a pregnant wife at home with two kids, so he sighed and walked back to the gatehouse while Mrs. Gina and Mia returned to the mansion.

Mia asked her mother, "Mom, what are we going to eat tonight?"

Mia knew that she was the one who had ruined the soup by adding too much salt into the delicious meal that Olima had worked so hard to prepare.

She understood that her mother wouldn't question her if what Olima had said was true, as her mother always took her side and punished Olima mercilessly.

Mrs. Gina scolded, "Why did you spoil the soup? I know Olima didn't add too much salt to that soup! Do you know how much the ingredients cost in the market now?"

Mia frowned, not expecting her mother to scold her.

Mrs. Gina said, "You will be the one cooking from today onwards as your punishment. Now follow me into the kitchen. You won't waste all the meat in that soup that Olima made. After you've finished removing all the meat from the pot, you will wash it thoroughly and re-cook it tonight. Silly girl."

Mia frowned as she followed her mother back into the kitchen.

Upon entering the kitchen, Mrs. Gina felt slightly nervous about throwing Olima outside since it was already 10 p.m.

She knew that the estate security agents would question her the following day if they saw Olima outside at that late hour and found out she had thrown her out.

Mrs. Gina yelled, "Remove all the meat quickly!"

Mia shuddered in fear and began taking the cooked meat out of the soup pot after washing her hands thoroughly when she entered the kitchen with her mother.

Mrs. Gina stood aside, watching Mia carefully take out all the meat from the pot until Mia was finished. She re-washed the meat and started cooking it for their dinner.

---

Olima cried and banged on the gate of her late father's mansion, but Nathan didn't open it for her.

She was still in her light blue gown, which she had been wearing since morning.

She shivered, feeling the cold night wind blowing against her smooth, delicate skin, sending shivers down her spine.

Her eyes were filled with tears, and she considered walking up to the estate security men standing there to report her stepmother.

Olima knew that even if she reported her stepmother to the security men, it wouldn't change her stepmother's wicked attitude toward her. She wrapped her arms around her chest as she approached the estate gate.

Olima noticed two men walking along the other side of the road, calling out to her.

She stared at them as they crossed the road, and one of them said, "Hey, pretty lady, what's up with you?"

Olima immediately ran away, taking to her heels even though she was barefoot. She ran as fast as her slim legs could carry her.

One of the men shouted after her, "Wait, pretty! Where are you running to?"

Olima didn't stop or turn back to look at them; she continued running toward the estate gate, which was still far ahead of her, and it was already late at night.

As she kept running, she saw a red car approaching and slowed down, hoping to ask the driver for a ride to the estate gate. She believed the car owner might live in the estate too and could be a good Samaritan.

Earlier, Justin Robert had gone to one of his favorite hangout spots-the club in Lemonhill town-to enjoy the company of attractive young women, but none had caught his attention.

He was annoyed at having wasted so much time there, sitting handsomely and watching the strip club dancers swirl around the pole.

Frustrated, he stood up and left the club, unable to stop thinking about the pretty young lady he had seen earlier that day. He finally had the courage to approach her.

He had been admiring her for a long time, and his blood boiled with desire to claim her and make sweet love to her, but she had run away from him as if he were a beast.

Justin was angrier than ever; he had seen many beautiful young women, but none had ever rejected him or his advances. The pretty young lady had insulted him and bruised his ego.

Justin was a bad boy, although he acted respectfully at home, listening to all his parents' requests and commands. Even though he didn't want to do what they asked, he still obeyed and took over his father's real estate business as their only child.

He had a few friends, including Jesse Andrew, who was his driver and bodyguard, although Jesse was much older than him and respected him.

Justin considered Jesse like the older brother he never had, someone with whom he could confide when he was frustrated.

As he stepped out of the strip club, he ordered Jesse, "Let's go home. I'm just bored today."

Jesse knew that whenever Justin said he was bored, it meant something was troubling him.

Jesse asked, "What could be the problem, young master?"

Justin paused, contemplating whether to tell Jesse the truth about what was weighing on his heart and what he truly desired at that moment.
