Chapter 9 No flirting with my mate

*** William P.O.V ***

I pass the corridor around 7 pm and heard Daniella talking to Bridget in her room. I walked to the residing room. I heard Daniella chuckle before the door opened Daniella rushed out. "I bring to you, your dear Sandra Smith."

That's when Bridget walked wearing a short tight darkish red dress. Her auburn hair flows halfway down her back. She looked stunning and I didn't feel like taking her anywhere else but my bedroom. I'd prefer to sense her soft palms and skin underneath my palms. I want to bury my face in the croon of her neck. I'd prefer to style her.

"William," Daniella shouted, bringing me out of my daydream.

"Doesn't she look nice?" She says as she glared at me.

"Yes of course. You look beautiful Bridget," I said stepping forward. "Are you ready to go?," I asked, offering to hold her hand.

She nodded and takes it. We then walked out, down the elevator and into the lobby. "Miss Smith, you look radiant this evening," Dan said and winked as he opened the door for us.

"No flirting with my mate," I teased with a chuckle and we make our way to the SUV waiting for us.

"Wouldn't dare to dream of it," Dan replied as he closed the door. I can't take my eyes off her. She was beautiful before but sitting next to me now in this dress that's holding her so beautifully. I wish she could feel the mate bond too.

'She will feel it. I can feel her wolf getting stronger,' Mark tells me. I wonder why her wolf is weak. They probably weren't feeding her enough.

We arrived at the restaurant a few minutes later and entered an empty restaurant.

"Oh! There's no one else here. Are they even open?" She asked, looking up at me with those big blue eyes.

"They are open for us," I chuckled. The hostess greets us and directs us to the table in the middle of the room. The waiter came in and poured us some wine.

"I have not quite gotten used to drinking wine yet," Bridget said. "But I'd love to try," she says shyly. I snort.

"No one loves wine very much Bridget," I replied and she giggled. She's adorable.

"If you don't like wine, we can try something else. Anything you want," I told her.

"Oh no, I don't want to be a bother," She insists.

"Bridget, you don't seem to be trouble. Please."

"You can call me Sandra," She laughed as she looked up at me. She tries the wine and displayed a bitter expression.

"Maybe something sweeter," she asked. I nod at the waiter and he brings out another wine and pours her a new glass.

"This is possibly the sweetest you can get," I told her. She tried it and laughed with appreciation.

"Now this I like."

I chuckled. Adorable. We chat a bit about the artwork she did today. She asked me what I do all day while I'm away. I provide an answer for my position and some of the matters I have to deal with on day to day basis.

She talked to me more than on the first day and even greater so after some wine. Our food arrived, it was steak.

"Daniella told me you like steak," I explained. She laughed and nodded.

"I'm starting to assume she is your spy," shock appeared on her face when she finished her sentence.

"Oh William, I am so sorry. I did not mean for that to come out disrespectful or ungrateful," She placed her hands on her lap and looked down at them.
