Chapter 5 Cha 5

It was in the evening, and closing time period. Ella had returned back to the hospital that she was working for, and to give report on everything that she did at her patient's house and the current condition that the patient is. Ella was inside the room that was given to the nurses only by management; the room served as documenting room, resting room and changing room for them.

Ella was sitting on one of the chairs there, and placed a workbook on the table at the front of her. She put her handbag on the table beside the workbook and busy documenting.

She raised her head up with the workbook in her hand, turned to another page, put it down on the table back and continued writing. Sound of the door opened as she was writing, and a fat lady entered into the room.

"I don't know you are back" the lady said and walking closer to Ella. She too was one of the nurses there and she was like a friend to Ella at work, but they weren't that close.

"When did you return back?" the lady asked and rest back at the wall.

"Like one hour ago, even I asked of you as I arrived but you are not around" Ella replied and as she was busy writing.

"Yes, I went out" the lady said with gentle voice and staring at her. "This, that you are fasting writing the report, it's like you are in hurry"

"Yes oh, I am tired as I am right now. It's like I should have got home" Ella said loudly and the lady giggled. She was busy watching her as she was writing and like she was watching movie.

"I came here to rest for one hour before returning back to the ward" the lady said, Ella didn't say anything just busy writing.

"Oh, I overheard that it's you the management allocated to Mr. Smith's house. You are now his new nurse, right?" Ella just shocked her head and replied her.

"Oh, Management shouldn't have post you there. For you now, I know that you will want to resign, and I don't want to loss you now. Don't want you to leave this place now" Ella raised her head up as the lady said so, looked at her somehow and dropped the pen.

"What makes you to say that?" She asked with kind of tone and staring at her.

"Don't you know that any nurses allocated to Mr. Smith's house used to leave this place at the end. It's either management fired them or they resigned " the lady replied. Smith was Bryson's father's name.

"And why are they fired or resigned, can you tell me please?" Ella asked with low voice.

"I don't know; and has the policy of this hospital you know that no nurse should review out the secret or anything happening at their patient's house or to their patient. It's a secret between them" Ella breaths in as the lady said so.

"If I have been posted there before, I will tell you oh. Nothing like secret to me, even the management has known that is why they put my base permanently here and I like it" the lady rest her hands on the chair.

"I heard that if it's not because of their position in this hospital, managements don't want to allocate any nurse to them again because they have tired of losing and fired staffs every month. I also heard that those that used to be fired by the management, its Mr. Smith's wife that uses to report them by herself" Ella just took the pen back and continued writing.

"Those that were fired maybe they wanted to be sleeping with her husband, or it's even Mr. Smith himself that want to and they too agreed. That is why his wife quickly reported them and they got fired; who knows" the lady giggled.

"Just be careful Ella, and you don't try to resign just tell the management to allocate you to somewhere else because I don't want you to go now" Ella just smiled and didn't say anything.

"Yes oh, if you leave like this, I am following you straight---"The lady was talking when they heard a knock at the door.

"Come in, the door is open and we are not doing any secret thing, so come in" the lady said loudly. The door opened widely and a young man entered into the room; wearing a jeans trouser and a black shirt, put the lap cloth on his aim and walking to where they were. He was a Doctor there.

"It's my handsome Doctor" the lady said with loud voice and smiling at him.

"I have known that it's you, talkative. Ella, how is you?" The young man asked, and his name was OWEN. He was a friend to Ella and really closed.

"Am good, you have been about to go right?" Ella asked.

"Yes, so I came to check on you and tell you goodbye" Owen replied.

"Alright, I am done as well. So bye, see you tomorrow" Ella said with smiles. She stood up, dropped the pen inside her handbag and with the workbook.

"I will like to drop you at home, so go and submit it quickly and when I will be outside waiting for you" Owen said with gentle voice. Owen was normal in statures, had a black short hair and handsome.

"Don't let me disturb you, I have ordered for a cab already" Ella replied with smiles on her face.

"Then cancelled it, I am dropping you off. So you better do that now" Owen said loudly.

"It doesn't need, just go and I will be---"

"If it's because of me that is why you are pretending, Ella don't be oh. Cancelled the order now and go with him" the lady said with low voice and laughing.

"Who is pretending, are you okay? Owen is my friend and if I say that I want him to drop me at my house, he doesn't have choice. So what is wrong with you?" Ella said.

"So now he threw the offer to you by himself, so accept it" the lady said and Ella just giggled.

"I don't have your time; Okay Owen, let me go and submit this and I will meet you outside"

"Alright, I will be waiting for you outside. Let's go, and bye" he greeted the lady and when he and Ella leaving the room.

"Lover boy, just too shy to talk out to Ella" the lady made jest of Owen as she sat down on the chair and rest her back. It was written all over Owen that he likes Ella, even Ella knows but waiting for him behaved as a man that he is.

Ella down to the compound after some minutes and got to Owen's car. She entered with him at the front. Owen started the car and started driving away from the hospital environment.

They arrived to Ella's house after one hour and some minutes, drove inside the compound and parked.

"Thank you for the ride, I really appreciate it" Ella said with smiles as she opened the door.

"You are welcome and anything for you" Owen replied, and Ella just giggled.

"Go safety, and see you tomorrow" Ella said as she got down from the car, she closed the door and standing. She was watching Owen as he was turning and driving out from the compound; Ella turned back and going inside after Owen had gone.

As she climbed the staircase up, and wanted to bring out the key, she met the door already opened. She pressed the handle down and entered into the house; as she entered she met Alyssa inside sitting on the couch with her handbag and draw book on the table.

"This is so usual of you, even I was surprised as I saw the door opened" Ella said as she dropped her own bag too on the table and sat down on another couch.

"Why did you arrive so early today? Hope no problem?" said as she was offing the heel shoes.

"No work and no order yet so I decided to be coming home instead. Even I am not happy so I just have to come home" replied with low voice.

"But you told me that you will be working on a project, that even this time around you will be extremely busy. So what happened? Are you not working on it again?"

"Elliot has gave it to his girlfriend Skyler to work on, said I should hand it over to her"

"How could he do that? What about all your late night sleeps all because to come up with something good. Why did he let you started it when he knows that he will later gave it to his girl" Ella said with loud voice and she was really angry because she knew how Alyssa worked hard on that project.

"No! No!! That doesn't make sense, so sorry my sis" she packed the shoe to one side and sat down properly.

"But last time I checked, it's all these underwears and night gowns that Skyler is good at and which I use to see on her handles. So, how does she want to do that?"

"That question is for her to answer; her boyfriend has said that I should hand it over to her and which I have done. So let's wait and see the outcome" Alyssa laughed loudly and making jest of Skyler.

"The idiot now asked me to drop my workbook for her---"

"Is she crazy? So, she doesn't even prepare for it" Alyssa was talking when Ella said with anger.

"I am telling you, that is why I brought it home because she can steal it. I will take new workbook and be using that still this project over"

"Just don't let that bothered you, since it doesn't affect your salary don't think about it" Ella said with gentle voice and trying to consoled her.

"Those designs that you have made will still useful, so forget about that. It's Elliot that wants to disgrace the company on that day, and he will"

"I am even waiting for that day; mixing relationship with work. Hmm" Alyssa did and giggled.

"I know what will be paining you now is your late night sleeps, but forget about that and be fine" Ella got up and going to the kitchen.

"I even what to tell you what I heard about Mr. Smith who is that idiot guy's father; how the nurses that have worked there used to be fired or resigned. But, I don't think is the right time" she said as she came out from the kitchen with a glass of water.

"Yes. May be later sister" Alyssa said as she rest her back on the chair and she was not happy at all.

"Be fine, baby girl" Ella rubbed Alyssa's shoulder as she said so; Alyssa just smiled and didn't utter a word.
