Chapter 4 Getting To Know Michele Montserratt

"I hope you'll like the food, Clarisse. I made a special request to my personal chef just to make sure that everything tastes perfect." Michele smilingly spoke again.

Clarisse took a bite of the steak and she smiled when she tasted the food. It tastes amazing!

"This is so delicious!" she said in amazement.

Michele nodded in return, and he looks obviously pleased.

"I'm glad you like it."

They've spent their time eating and drinking the finest wine. It was Clarisse first time to drink, but surprisingly, she liked the taste of wine. She thought that the more delicious and old the wine is, it tastes much better. Time flew by so fast, and she didn't realize that the night is getting deeper.

"After this, I'm going to bring you to my favorite place. I'm absolutely sure you're going to like it as well." Michele told Clarisse his plans.

"Okay... But where are we going?" asked Clarisse.

Michele mysteriously smiled at Clarisse.

"Let's just say we're going to paradise." he gave Clarisse a hint.

Clarisse's eyebrows met in a frown, as she thinks of many possible places that they can go to. She somehow excited to see Michele's favorite place.

"Where could this paradise be?" she wondered to herself.

After they've finished their lovely dinner, Michele suddenly made a call to someone.

"Where are you now?" he asks someone from the other line.

Clarisse secretly watches Michele as he is taking to someone over the phone. Where could he be taking her? And why is she excited? Maybe because of the wine that's why she's not scared of this stranger anymore. She's actually looking forward on going somewhere with him. She was suddenly surprised at herself. She never thought that she would feel quickly feel comfortable with Michele.

"What the heck is going on with me?" Clarisse asks to herself.

She shook her head as if she is shaking all of those ideas in her mind. She didn't realize that Michele is finished with his phone call and he has been looking at her.

"Are you alright, Clarisse?" asked Michele.

Clarisse forced an airy smile towards Michele.

"Yes... By the way, aren't we supposed to be going somewhere now?" Clarisse is now getting curious.

"Well, yes. We're just waiting for our ride." Michele replied.

Clarisse curiously frowned when she heard the sound of a helicopter coming. Her eyes widened in shock when she realized something...

"Oh my goodness! We're going to ride in a helicopter?!" she cajoled.

Michele escorted her inside the helicopter, and after a few minutes, they are now up in the air. Few minutes passes by quickly. They are now making a landing on a vast space of grass. After a few minutes, Michele escorted her once again as she steps down from the helicopter.

They were greeted by a middle-aged man, who's wearing a tux.

"Welcome back, Master." he welcomed them

Clarisse lets out an amused smile when the man called Michele as "Master."

"I'm really glad to see you again, Henry. How have you been?" Michele started talking.

The middle-aged man smiles in return.

"I've never been better, and it's all thanks to you." Henry smiled, looking grateful.

"Oh, forgive my manners... Henry, I would like you to meet Clarisse, and she's the one that I told you before who saved my life. Clarisse, I would also like you to meet my efficient, ever loyal and best butler, Henry. He's been with our family ever since I was a baby." Michele introduces Henry to Clarisse.

"A pleasure to meet you, Miss Clarisse." Henry gallantly said.

Clarisse smilingly nodded at Henry.

"I'm glad to meet you as well." She answered.

"By the way, Master. The moon is shining brightly, and the beach is calm as a night sky, so this will be a perfect time for you to take a stroll at the beach." Henry smilingly suggested.

Clarisse glances at Michele. He wants to ask him where are they right now. Michele seems to have read what was going on her mind.

"We're here at my family's ancestral house which is called The Montserrat Estate. We have a beach resort here, and I'm sure you'll have a lovely time strolling at the beach later." Michele informed her.

"Oh, I see. That's why you called this place a paradise awhile ago." Clarisse finally understands everything.

"By the way, where's my mother and father?" suddenly inquired to their butler.

"Madame Katherine is having a Ladies' Night at the Clubhouse. Master Michael is having a meeting with---his business partners." Henry informed his young master.

Clarisse puzzily frowned when she saw Henry looking a bit hesitant when he said the words "business partners." The old butler also gave him a mysterious look and then he averted his eyes away from her.

"I see. Well, we should go ahead and take a walk at the beach, Clarisse. I can definitely assure you that you'll love the evening ocean view." Michele invited her.

"Sounds good." Clarisse is now getting excited to see the paradise.

"Please enjoy your time, Master and Clarisse." Henry bid them goodbye.

Clarisse: "Thank you very much."

Henry: "You're very much welcome."

Once Henry was out of sight, Clarisse started talking again.

"You told me awhile ago that Henry has been with your family since you were a baby?" she asks him.

"Oh, yes. He's like a second father to me. He's been part of our family for almost many decades now." Michele nodded.

Clarisse feels that everything was going so fast. Few days ago, they were in a medical emergency situation, and now they just had dinner, and Michele brings her to their ancestral home. Michele seems to be very open with her when it comes to his personal life.

Oh well, this is just for tonight. After tonight, she will go back home, sleep and call it a day. Michele Montserrat just wanted to thank her for saving his life, and she's not expecting o. seeing him again. But for tonight, she will enjoy herself with the company of Michele.
