Chapter 4 THE KIDNAPPER'S SALVATION

She was on both of her knees, her hands moaning in pain while her heart raced in panic. She looked up to see the thief getting punched and kicked by a tall, good-looking man.

The thief fell to the ground after he got kicked in the chest by the tall, lean, muscular man. The young man grabbed the purse off the ground and dusted the dirt off as he made his way towards Sally.

Her eyes widened at the situation of someone who had just been brutally beaten and passed out in just a minute. She got up on her feet with no hesitation as her eyes scanned between the thief that was lying unconsciously on the ground and the tall man who was walking towards her.

He came to a stop and handed her the purse.

She took the purse from him and thanked him with an awkward smile, "Thank you. Are you okay?"

Her eyes scanned his body, searching for bruises, but he turned away quickly without saying anything as he took off in the opposite direction.

She raised her brows in confusion when she saw his action. He seemed like a good person, but why did he have to act so rude? Ignoring him, Sally turned around and made her way to her car.

Andy Chester stopped walking as soon as he saw Travis and Scott running in the parking lot, searching for him. In the fear of getting caught and being sent back to the hospital room, he pulled out his gun and ran back to Sally, who was unlocking her car.

Andy pointed his gun to the back of her before he murmured close to her ears, "Give me the fucking key, and get in the car if you don't want to die."

Sally's heart started to pound against her chest as soon as she felt the gun pointed at her back. She nodded her head without any question as she handed out her car's key to the unknown man behind her.

She took a step back and started to make her way around the car. Thinking that she could escape by running and screaming for help, she gave a quick glance to the man who was opening the driver's door before she decided to run, saying, "Help, someone help, m-mmh."

The unknown man's hand closed her mouth with full force as he dragged her back to the car. Andy swung the passenger's door wide open as he aggressively pushed Sally into the car.

She struggled as he tried to force the seat belt over her body before he glared deadly at her and said, "Shut up before I kill you." His husky voice sent chills down her spine, making her stop struggling and quickly turn her face away as soon as she realised how close his face was to her the moment his warm breath touched her face.

He shook his head slightly, judging her dramatic reaction, before he backed out and closed the car's door. He ran to the driver's seat and closed the door quickly as soon as he heard Sally's voice: "BOSS!"

Shit," Andy mumbled underneath his breath, and he tucked his gun back into his blazer's pocket. Then he began to back out of the car without any hesitation.

Sally sat in the car in panic as she watched the unknown man drive her car at high speed out of the parking lot. She turned her eyes to look at the rearview mirror and saw two men running after the car, then gave up.

She sat in silence without saying anything out of fear of getting killed. She swallowed hard as she realised the car was merging onto the highway. She licked her dry lips as she glanced at his side and back to the road.

Andy wrinkled his brows in annoyance until something caught his attention. The familiar fragrance of the girl next to him touched his nose, making him wonder for a second where he had smelled it before.

It's the same girl, he thought to himself before he stepped on the gas pedal, speeding up the car even more.

In the tense atmosphere inside the car, a phone suddenly started to ring. G. Sally Roo's eyes widened before she started to fish in her purse for her phone.

She looked at the phone screen to see Brent's name across the screen. Her right thumb slid across the screen to answer the phone, but the man inside her car took her phone away and opened the car's window before he threw it out onto the road.

Her heartbeat raced as she turned to look at him. Only then did she realise how good-looking the man sitting next to her was.

He clenched his teeth only to show his sharp jawline to the young woman when he realised that she was staring at him from the passenger seat.

He knew that she wanted to say something, but she was scared of him.

Ignoring her, he drove the car to an old house where he once got locked up. Nobody knows about this place except him and the elders who used to serve him when he got locked up here by Alvin Chester.

Due to the excessive force he used earlier to deal with the thief and the girl, his injury sent him a sharp pain, making him raise one of his hands to cover the side of his waist. The pain started to get worse as time passed and the medicine wore off.

He swallowed hard as his forehead started to sweat.

As soon as he reached the old house, he got out of the car to pull the girl that he had kidnapped out with him. She tried to struggle as her tears started to run down her face. "Please let me go; I am scared." Ignoring her and everyone else that was looking at him, he pulled her into a small house forcefully, leaving the house servants in shock.

Sally's eyes scanned the people around her who didn't dare to step up to help. She saw a woman who looked like she was in her 40s walk towards the man who was dragging her with anxiety all over her face.

The old woman was about to open her mouth to ask, but the young man in front of her shot her a deadly glare, making her step back without a word.

"Ugh! Help, aunt, help!" The young girl struggled in Andy's grip as she resisted walking.

Andy dragged her up the stairs without caring about what others thought about him or the girl he brought with him.

As soon as he reached one of the master bedrooms upstairs, he pushed her in with such strength that it caused her to fall onto the floor. He locked the door behind him, then made his way around the room to close all of the curtains blocking the views from outside, leaving the room in the dark.
