Chapter 1 BEAUTY And The BEAST

Pashika's Point of View:

Today is Sunday, and it is a beautiful morning with black clouds and thunderstorms in the forecast.

It appears that it will begin to rain soon.

Birds are flying around and enjoying their freedom...

Hmmmm, my life.

Sighing, I let out a sigh.

It is August 2nd, and today is Friendship Day. Everyone else is celebrating Friendship Day, but what about me? It is not like I do not have any friends. It is not like I do not care about them. It is simply because I do not want them to be a part of my dark life.

Oh! I apologize for failing to introduce myself.

PASHIKA SINHA is my full name. You can address me as Shikoo.

I am 22 years old and work as a teacher. I work as an English teacher in an orphanage.

I am 5'5", a fair and beautiful girl, and my beauty is a curse to me. My beauty has caused me a great deal of pain, which I will never forget.

But whenever I am around children, my pains fade away. I adore children, and teaching them always brings me peace. I am also at ease mentally and spiritually.

I am the daughter of NEIL and AMBER SINHA. Yes! In a nutshell, it is pronounced NEILAMBER.

I smile every time I say their names. I adore my parents, and their names are inscribed in my heart alongside their memories. Even their names are linked to one another.

My father was an engineer, and my mother was a teacher, just like me, but they are no longer alive.

I lost them in a car accident when I was 10 years old. It has been nearly a decade. They went to celebrate Valentine's Day, but only news of their bodies returned, so I hated that day as well.

Now I live with my grandfather MILIND SINHA, whom I affectionately refer to as Dadu.

He is a veteran of the military. My grandfather's pensions helped us a lot with my education as well as our needs. He is a great man and, in my opinion, a true fighter. I adore him, but I cannot express my feelings openly because it hurts to lose the person you care the most about.

Because I am a dark soul, I despise my life.

I have been cursed. When someone approached me, I was terrified and immediately declined the proposal.

My only family is now my grandfather, and I have no one else in this world...

My life is not as simple as it appears. I have so many dark and deep secrets that I do not want anyone to know about.

Only my grandfather is aware of it, and he forced me to accompany him to the temple today. So we are off to the temple. I am not sure why he always wants to go to the temple.

He is well aware that I do not find peace anywhere, not even in the temple. I am not sure why, and it is not like I do not believe in God. Because of my mother, I have a strong faith in God. She was religious. I recall her performing every pooja and festival with proper rituals. I recall everything correctly.

We hurried back to our house after visiting the temple and praying. It is pouring outside, and I am terrified.

Then, all of a sudden, our taxi collided with something very hard, and everything became blurry.

My vision immediately went black, and I was concerned about my grandfather.

How is he doing?

Is he all right? Then I crawled out of the taxi in search of my grandfather.

ARJUN's POV:

Sunday is not a holiday for me. I have an important meeting with my foreign client, Mr. Daniel Miller, and Davis Grey.

And my best friend Neil Khanna keeps calling me. I am driving at full speed, and it is pouring outside.

My phone is constantly ringing, and I am not going to answer Neil's call because I know he will curse me for forgetting an important meeting.

I was snoozing like a pig.

My bestie is a mystery, and he is not a very nice man. We have known each other since we were in our mothers' wombs, and Neil Khanna is the Devil.

Our fathers are best friends, so we are as well. That is why we do not need words to express ourselves to one another. We can tell what we are thinking with just one look.

We are brothers in spirit rather than blood.

That is why the media claims I am gay and have a secret relationship with my bestie NEIL KHANNA.

I am single and still a virgin. Yes, even my lips and heart are virgins because I am preparing myself for the future.

Being a virgin does not imply that I am sweet or gentle. People know me as a ruthless, merciless, and heartless man. A woman wishes to sleep with me, but I am a one-woman man.

ARJUN was on his way to the company for a crucial meeting with his business partner and friends. He was driving to the company without his security.

Nobody could predict when their lives would take unexpected turns. Our ARJUN and PASHIKA's lives were about to take an unexpected turn.

ARJUN had a feeling something was going to happen in his life, but what?

"I feel like it is my life," Arjun was thinking as he drove his car when his car collided with something that hit his head.

"Sh*t! Sh*t!" Shit! "No way," cursed Arjun.

Arjun tried to hold himself together despite the excruciating pain. He stepped out of his car. For a brief moment, his mind went blank.

He was struck by the BEAUTY.

His BEASTLY Virgin heart was ignited by a strong sense of Possessiveness.
