The nurse had made the rounds, and informed Amelia that her surgical operation would be moved to another day as she needed to lower down her sugar levels before they proceeded with the operation. Amelia lay in the hospital bed, her mind filled with a mix of anticipation and fear about the upcoming surgery. She couldn't help but think about how her life had taken unexpected turns, especially when it came to matters of the heart.

Amelia couldn't help but feel the weight of the past pressing down on her as she lay in the hospital bed, waiting for her surgery. The memories of her time with Froilan flooded her mind, and she struggled to shake them off. She wished she could erase his memory from her thoughts, to spare herself from the pain and heartbreak that still lingered within her.

As she closed her eyes, the images of the past played out in her mind, refusing to be silenced. She could almost feel the warmth of Froilan's hand in hers, the sound of their laughter echoing in her ears. They had shared dreams of a future together, and she believed that their love was strong enough to withstand anything.

With tears in her eyes, she whispered to herself, "I wish I could just erase his memory from my mind. It hurts too much to remember what we had, only to have it all fall apart."

But as much as she wished to forget, her mind kept drifting back to the moments they shared, to the laughter and intimacy they once had.

Amelia recalled that during that time, Froilan was already working while she was only in her second year of college, full of ambition. Despite his playboy reputation, she saw sincerity in his eyes. He would travel four hours every weekend just to visit her. Amelia believed that Froilan was the man she would love forever.

However, her world began to crumble when she started receiving strange messages from an unknown sender. The messages claimed that she was having a relationship with Froilan and that she was his best friend. Sometimes, the mysterious girl would even text Amelia, alleging that she and Froilan were living together under the same roof, and that she had suffered physical abuse at Froilan's hands.

Amelia's heart felt like it was being torn apart, the weight of betrayal and confusion leaving her breathless. Each accusation in the messages stabbed at her soul, and she couldn't comprehend why someone would go to such lengths to tarnish the love she held so dear. Doubt gnawed at her, casting shadows over the trust she had placed in Froilan, and her mind was consumed with pain.

As she mustered the courage to confront Froilan, her heart pounded in her chest, the fear of what she might uncover almost paralyzing her. When she finally spoke, her voice quivered with a mix of fear and longing, searching his eyes for answers, hoping to find the truth in his gaze.

"Froilan, we need to talk," Amelia said, her eyes searching his face for answers.

Froilan's gaze met hers, confusion evident in his eyes. "What's wrong, Amelia?" he asked, concern lacing his voice.

Froilan's expression was a mix of confusion and hurt, and Amelia desperately wanted to believe in his innocence, to trust the love they had built over the years. But the messages haunted her thoughts, and the pain of not knowing who to believe was overwhelming.

Tears welled up in her eyes as she looked into Froilan's, trying to find the sincerity she once saw, desperately wanting to hold on to the love they shared. "There are strange messages accusing you of things, Froilan. I don't know what to believe anymore," she admitted, her voice breaking with the weight of her emotions.

Froilan's eyes pleaded with her, his voice trembling with hurt and frustration. "I swear to you, Amelia, those messages are not true. I have never betrayed you or hurt anyone," he said, the pain evident in his every word.

But the peace Amelia sought was short-lived when more messages arrived, each one feeling like a dagger to her heart. The girl behind the messages begged her to let go of Froilan, further complicating the web of emotions that entangled Amelia's heart.

The days turned into months, and the weight of the heartbreak seemed almost unbearable. Amelia found herself in a constant battle between holding on to the love she once cherished and confronting the painful truth that was unraveling before her.

Amelia's heart pounded in her chest as her father's accusing words hit her like a slap. The shock and disbelief washed over her, and she felt a lump forming in her throat as she tried to process the gravity of the situation. She couldn't believe what she was hearing - that her own father would think such a thing about her, that she was pregnant with Froilan's child.

Tears welled up in her eyes, and her voice trembled as she desperately tried to explain, "Dad, it's not true. I'm not pregnant with Froilan's child. I swear, it's all a misunderstanding."

But her father's expression remained stern, his eyes cold and unforgiving. "Don't lie to me, Amelia. Your uncle told me everything. He saw Froilan drunk and talking about getting you pregnant."

Amelia's mind was in a whirlwind of emotions, and she struggled to find the right words to defend herself. She had no idea where this rumor had come from, or how it had spread so quickly. One moment, she had been living her life, unaware of any pregnancy, and the next, her whole world seemed to be falling apart.

In the back of her mind, she wondered if it was even possible that she could be pregnant. They had been careful, or so she thought. But the uncertainty gnawed at her, and she couldn't help but replay that one night with Froilan, questioning if it could have led to this supposed pregnancy.

"Oh God, how could this be happening?" Amelia whispered to herself, her voice filled with fear and confusion. "I messaged Froilan about being a week delayed, but I didn't even confirm it yet. It could be a false alarm, right?"

Her father's anger seemed to intensify with each passing second, and Amelia felt like she was suffocating under the weight of the accusations. She longed for her parents to believe her, to understand that this was all a terrible misunderstanding.

"Dad, please, just give me a chance to explain," Amelia pleaded, her voice cracking with emotion. "I don't know where this rumor came from, but I promise you, I am not pregnant. Froilan and I have been careful. It's all a mistake, I swear."

But Raul's anger seemed unyielding, and he shook his head, his voice laced with disappointment. "I can't believe you would bring shame to this family, Amelia. You need to take responsibility for your actions."

Amelia's heart shattered into a million pieces as she realized that her father wouldn't believe her, that he was convinced of her guilt without even giving her a chance to defend herself. The feeling of isolation and helplessness engulfed her, and she felt like she was drowning in a sea of unfounded accusations.

As tears streamed down her cheeks, Amelia wondered how her life had taken such a tragic turn. She longed for Froilan's support and understanding, but she couldn't even reach him to explain the situation. The rumors had spread so fast, and she felt like her entire world was collapsing around her.

In the midst of the chaos, Amelia held on to a glimmer of hope, praying that she would be able to prove her innocence, to find the strength to face her upcoming surgery and her uncertain future. She knew deep down that she was not pregnant, but she also knew that convincing her father and the rest of her family would be an uphill battle. The road ahead seemed dark and treacherous, but Amelia was determined to find the truth and reclaim her shattered life.
