Chapter 3 2

I went back to my room and sat in front of the laptop again. I stared at it. I was in that position for a few moments before I tried to type words. Luckily, words started flooding my mind.

"She found out that he is actually the devil that she's been hunting for all her life-the one who killed her family. The one who made her feel like a living corpse. And the one whom she loves the most."

I stopped typing and took a sip of coffee. It's a bit cold, and I should brew something new, but I shouldn't stand or be disturbed because I'll lose my momentum. Even now, the words are entering my brain.

"Why?" she asked him. It was looking straight into his eyes that captured her heart. "Why did you lie to me? Why did you pretend that you're a hunter and help me find the devil, which was actually you? Was it fun playing with me like that?"

Tears started rolling down her cheeks. She wanted to stop it. She wanted to stop crying and show the devil that she was a strong woman. but her heart is betraying her. Especially that she's looking at the man with whom she thought she'd spend her remaining time.

I took a deep breath and imagined myself to be the woman so that I could better express her attitude. I smiled as more words came to mind.

This place is really good for a writer like me. Quiet and peaceful.

But that silence and peace of mine only lasted for a minute because I heard a noise from the other house. I think it sounds like an electric guitar. That was followed by a sound coming from a drum set.

Disgusted, I stood up and looked at the house next door. Maybe it's just a hallucination. But when I saw that the inside of the house was bright, I realize what I was hearing was true. Does that mean someone lives next door to me? Do I have a neighbour?

I went back in front of my laptop and tried to type again, but I couldn't because it was so loud! It's early in the morning, and now they've decided to do band practice! It's obvious that they're a band because I can't hear just one guitar! Plus, they even have a drummer!

Shit! I intend to finish my story in half now and go to sleep tomorrow morning so I can continue it when I wake up and pass it right away! but the plan was ruined because of the noise from the neighbour!

Whoever they are, they must be brainless! Don't they think people are asleep and turning blue?

Annoying! When I start to write, there is a disturbance!

I was so annoyed that I finished the coffee and took the mug out of the house. I intend to throw that mug of mine at their skulls. Maybe their brains will work and think that they are disturbing.

I was still walking because of the annoyance I was feeling. Oh really! The peace that I felt earlier is quickly disappearing because of those who have been crushed!

I arrived at their front door. The sound became louder and more noisy now that I was close to them. Next, I rang the doorbell. The sound stopped, but I didn't stop ringing their doorbell. Until no one opens the door, I will not stop here!

I was about to throw the coffee mug I was holding at the person who opened the door, but I was stopped. My lips parted when I saw the colour of his eyes.

His left eye is grey in colour, while his right eye is light green. And that's not all. The man's body was still lying in front of me because he was only wearing pants and no top. I can see his arm muscles and his six-pack abs. I was sweating when I looked up at his v-line.

Eyes up, Vexen!

"What do you need?"

I swallowed when I heard his voice. It felt so good to hear that. I forced myself to look up at his face. and I stared at the most handsome man that I've ever met.

Apart from his amazing eyes, I also immediately noticed his thick eyebrows. His nose is perfect, and his lips look so red, as if he just finished kissing. His face looks so fierce and serious. the type that makes you cringe immediately when he looks at you.

"Miss? Are you just going to stand there? You're disturbing."

I came to my senses because of what he said, but I forgot what I was doing here in front of their house. Why did I come here?

I just looked down at the mug I was holding.

"Uhm... Do you have any coffee?" Shit! That was the dumbest thing that I've said in my entire life.

I saw the handsome man's face frown and stare at me. My breathing hitched, and my heart started to beat fast for an unknown reason.

"Death! Who is that? Just do it here inside and not at the door." I heard a man ask inside, followed by the laughter of the three men.

But wait. His name is Death. Did I hear it right?

"Do you really want coffee?" asked the man in front of me, who ignored his friend inside.

I was surprised when he stepped closer to me. I stepped back, but he wrapped one of his hands around my waist and pulled me close to his body. I panicked because I could literally feel his body heat because he didn't have any clothes on. I can free myself from his grip easily if I try, but there's something in his mismatched eyes that I can't even tell. and my traitorous body seemed to like the feeling of our bodies being close together.

He brought his mouth close to my ear and whispered.

"I saw you eye-raping my body earlier. We can have sex but not today since we're having a band practice. So see you tomorrow instead, coffee girl." he said before releasing me and turning his back. He entered his house and closed the door in my face. I was left stunned and processing what happened.
