Chapter 5 5

I sobbed and knelt down. My chest clenched as my eyes began to cry.

The firefighter yelled, "Miss! Miss! Stand there!" but I didn't hear him because I appeared to be deaf. I started crying even more, and my chest started to tighten even more.

My eyes clouded as I stared at the flaming condo. I finally gave up trying to stand it and slowly collapsed, losing consciousness.

When I opened my eyes, I saw a white ceiling. My back and the rest of my body hurt. I blinked and took a cautious look around.

I became aware that I was in a hospital. I closed my eyes and inhaled deeply. I opened my eyes once again as the door opened at the same time.

Clyde entered, and his first words were, "You're awake."

The setbacks in my life came flooding back to me as I saw his face. Surely he had a strategy for the condo fire as well!

My shaky voice questioned, "Why are you here?"

He said, but I didn't believe him: "I heard you faint, so I came here."

My voice is sarcastic. "Really?"

His face was expressionless as he tucked his hands into his jeans pockets.

Turan ko. "You're gone. I don't need you here." He didn't say anything; he simply kept staring at me.

He believes that I felt a little uneasy, so I diverted my gaze and shut my eyes once more.

He waited a few minutes and then said, "Today is Monday." "What's your decision?"

I closed my eyes and murmured, "You already know my answer."

I ignored its command to "open your eyes, Nathania."

I could hear it sigh. I awoke and turned to face him, who was now sitting on his knees, saying, "I know you know the reason your friend's condo burned down."

He grinned and said, "Yes, Nathania. It's my fault. I set fire to your friend's condo."

Still grinning, he said, "But there's even worse news, Nathania."

He removed the phone from his pocket and clicked a button.

He firmly said, "Listen carefully, Nathania," as he began to play music on his phone.

It ended its phone call by saying, "A man named Spencer Blake Ferolino was found injured after his car fell into a ravine. The reason was that his car lost its brakes, so he went straight into the ravine. The injured Spencer Blake Ferolino is now in the hospital and recovering."

Hearing this stunned me even more.

Spence, sir?

It shrugged and rose up, saying, "She hasn't woken up yet." "I just don't know if she'll wake up yet."

When I understood what he had said, I pushed myself to stand. I went to hit him even though my body hurt, but he moved in front of me.

It seized my hand, which I was about to slap at him. It was like, "You're too weak, Nathania. You can't hurt me."

I scream, "What did you do to Spencer?"

He stated sternly, "I told you. It's your fault. It's your fault that he was hospitalized. You made the wrong decision, Nathania."

I already had a burning rage against him.

I yelled again, "You beast!" D-you devil! "You can kill a man for your own pleasure!"

He was right, but I merely shook my head. "I didn't kill him."

I perceived his treatment of me as being weak.

I started crying a little bit. I slumped to the ground on my feeble knees.

I stumbled, "H-Animal k-you!"

"Say yes to me, Nathania, and I'll promise to stop destroying his life," he continued, but I shook my head. I felt him trim me.

There was a threat in its voice: "Nathania, if you won't say yes to me, then I'll continue to ruin his life, I'll make him suffer, and I'll destroy him."

He placed his mouth in front of my ear and murmured, "Choose Nathania." "Me, or the safety of your dearest friend."

I was resentful in what I said to him, saying, "A-I don't! "I don't like you!"

He rose up and said, "If you haven't decided yet, I'll stay with your friend." There was a tone in his voice.

I turned to look at him. I spoke in a whisper, but loud enough for him to hear, "B-why are you doing this?"

He said, "I just want to."

I nodded, but he only grinned and said, "You're crazy."

He uttered those words before leaving: "I know, Nathania. I am crazy. And I'm evil." It left me exhausted and in tears. I'm fed up with how my life is going.

I received no compensation after I was discharged from the hospital. I'm not sure, but Clyde must have paid for the hospital.

I'll go see Spencer. The only thing I know is that there is a hospital close by, so I will try to go there to see if he is being held there.

When I arrived at the hospital, I asked right away. I'm glad he's locked up because it allows me to be here. I went straight to its room. I had just stepped outside when I noticed Spencer's mother emerge. Because Spencer introduced us, he was familiar with me. When I approached him, he looked at me with widening eyes. Call it "Nathania!" I grinned broadly before moving closer to him.

I will inquire, "Aunt, is it S-Spencer?"

She gave a melancholy look while indicating Spencer's room's door.

My aunt came up to me and said, "He's still asleep. The doctor said he's fine. We'll just wait for him to wake up."

I nodded as he added, "Thank you for coming, hija. I'll go out first to buy food."

I went in after it went out. Spencer was still asleep, and I was alone. I stared at it from a distance.

Its body was covered in wounds. His condition deteriorated, and he had a wound on his forehead. I regret what actually occurred to him. If I went along with Clyde, wouldn't Spencer be the one to suffer?

I sighed and went over to him. I feel bad for my pal. I thought it made perfect sense, but what I just said to him was terrible.

I touched its palm as a drop of tears started to fall down my face.

My voice grew shaky as I spoke, "Spencer."

My greeting to him was, "I'm sorry. You're still affected by the misfortune of my life."

I spoke even though he couldn't hear me: "I'm sorry because you lost your condo and then you had an accident."

I wiped the tears from my face and said, "P-Promise-"

I took a big breath and said, "I promise you that nothing bad will happen to you. "I don't want you to feel sorry for me anymore."

I put my lip to his forehead and said, "I can't wait for Clyde to harm you again. A good man like you doesn't deserve to be destroyed by a demon.

I've already decided what I'll do.

I don't want to cause too many more individuals to suffer as a result of my actions.

With Clyde, I'll take hell on earth.

arduous but essential. To ensure that nobody is harmed, I will remain patient. I have no idea why my life is the way it is. I regret having already met Clyde. I regret how my life turned out.
