Carlos was surprised and asked me, "Just say what you want?"

It started to snow outside. It would be my birthday in less than two months. It would then be Christmas Eve.

I didn't know if I would make it.

I wanted to tell him that I would part with him and make them happy. I wanted him to come home for dinner to discuss our divorce.
