She listened carefully to the pieces clicking together as she tried to move them carefully, to solve the puzzled and get the diamond free of the statue's stone hold. One mistake and she would be buried in rubble worth a 10 feet tall stone statue. She had about 7 minutes to finish her job before the security noticed her. 4 minutes to unlock the hold, 30 seconds to paint, and 2 minutes to escape. A soft click was all she needed to hear as an affirmation that the diamond was now free. She swiftly slipped the tablet from the statue's hands and simultaneously clicked the button which activated the small pulley on the ceiling and which pulled him up, 6 minutes at hand. She quickly and stealthily maneuvered his body so she could swing across the room, towards the wall in front, and grabbed hold of the air vent and secure she escape. After a series of actions involving severe body straining things such as crawling up in the vents, slithering through bars, and cutting steel nets, she was finally on the rooftop with 3 minutes left- she had to get off the perimeters of the Museum. Her ears began to pick up sounds of footsteps 2 floors beneath. It is only at times like these he felt thankful for his werewolf capabilities. She looked up and caught sight of the helicopter she had been waiting for, hovering silently just like the dead of the night coming closer to the museum, so whe ran. Legs pushing her ahead in full force, she gained enough momentum and jumped off the roof, and caught the rope ladder hanging down from the doors of the helicopter. Leaving the pursuers in dust, she was flying away from the museum. The guards came up to find nothing but a rope cut out. She had ended up earning him his title as the infamous invisible museum thief instead. She didn't mind the fame that came with it because it only brought more clients for her. She wouldn't consider it as work but it pays the bills and see her through university that would suffice. She's a wolf after all an orphan one at that. Through her years of experience, she had mastered the art of flawless crime but the gadgets provided by clients were the cherry on the top, making her job very easy. Yeah, she stole to make a living but an orphan like her needed to earn a living. However, sometimes her desires also drove her to steal a painting or two for keeps or to sell later. Now Back in her apartment after a hard night of work. She put on a kettle for tea. you could smell the tea brewing on a flame if you passed by the kitchen, its fragrance spreading throughout the house. It relaxes her she doesn't know why but she loves the scent Walking down the corridor across the living room one would reach her Bedroom, but in contrast to the rest of the apartment, her bedroom is clad in black, a color which oddly comforted her unlike any other color again she didn't know why she just liked it. The queen-sized bed was covered in soft black sheets made from a blend of silk & cotton, a black faux fur duvet cover, and a mountain of pillows as an omega she needs them to make a nest but she rarely ever did . She groaned as she tiredly sprawled across the mountain of pillows on the bed snuggling into them. The only thing contrasting the black theme of her bedroom was the blue and yellow shades of her wardrobe she was too lazy to repaint it and she felt she needed a little bit of color in her bedroom. She needed to sleep she has to go to school in the morning she groaned and stood up her mind wandered to the dream she had earlier she hadn't had the time to ponder on it she couldn't even remember much of it A sigh escaped her lips as got up to get some tea. Walking back to the kitchen took a few seconds. It was a pretty good apartment it was nothing extravagant but she liked it that way. It avoided unnecessary attention that might come. Grabbing the handle, she picked up the small kettle with the freshly brewed tea and poured it into her cup gifted by her best friend, and she wasn't allowed to drink in any other cup or her friend might just teleport through the walls from his apartment next door. he'd probably be sleeping at this hour, it's already 4 in the morning. 'And now Pour in some milk in the tea', add sugar, mix it well, drink it leisurely, and go to sleep,' zhe followed this daily routine which strangely enough helped her sleep.
She woke up with a headache that morning, getting a few hours of sleep after 48 hours of straining oneself isn't exactly helpful for a university student. Delivering the items she stole to clients after jumping off the helicopter took her almost the whole night. holding on to the item would increase the chances of getting caught so she had to get it delivered as fast as she could. The more it moved around the lesser the chances of getting caught. She couldn't trust others with it and thus, carried out the delivery. But the biggest problem is that aside from being a wanted criminal, Nova was your average college student too. So she needed to attend classes to get a degree in art history a major which she desperately wanted to have and open a gallery one day and to keep up a good façade. though she wouldn't be stealing anymore once she gets a job after college but for now, this pays the bills Carrying out her morning routine with a hazy mind took her a while and because of that, she was running late. So, she just took out a pair of black jeans and the first Black hoodie she could find hanging and raced towards thedoor after picking up her backpack from the couch. As expected, Kieran Storm her best friend was standing in front of the door about to knock when Nova opened it. before he could find the opportunity. But she noticed a weird smile creeping up Kieran's face, as he stared at the hoodie. She too looked down to see what he found so amusing, "hmm...nothing but the anime hoodie that he had bought weeks ago. he wasn't going to hear the end of it. "I knew you'd like the anime! Now look at you, months of me forcing you to watch it with me and you come out wearing the hoodie" "What are you talking about? I-uh didn't even notice what I was wearing until now -and I didn't buy it. My sister sent it to me on my birthday." "You don't have a sister." "We'll be late, let's leave, we don't have time to talk about this!" Nova ran down the stairs trying to avoid the conversation. Yeah, the anime is good and yeah she had fallen in love with it and watched it. Nova had lost the bet but she would rather die than admit it. Her head was already a mess due to lack of sleep and Kieran making fun of her didn't make it any better. They parted ways once they had entered the college gates. classes didn't start till nine today but Nova had an issue to sort out, something about the painting he had submitted for this year's Student's Art Exhibition. So, Kieran went to the cafeteria to eat some breakfast. He was also living up to his so-called title of a "fuckboy" to the fullest. he headed towards the Professors' offices her head still feeling fuzzy at every step. Abruptly she bumped into someone and was about to fall backward when big hands held her steady. Her face buried into their chest, and the other's hands held onto her waist which sent the sparks that were spreading to her entire body. She hurried to separate herself from the stranger's chest and when she looked up every bell chimed and every hair on his body was set upright as she experienced what they call love at first sight. He was tall and had a well-endowed body, yes she felt it through his shirt. His hair was dark as the night. His cherry thin red lips, and the pearl whites biting the lower lip This is exactly what her friend always keeps squealing about, isn't it? "Hey are you alright?" the guy asked, snapping her out of the simping thoughts. damn, even her voice was dripping with honey and concern? His eyes too were reflecting a state of panic seeing Nova state. Nova got flustered that stares would give a bad impression of her and quickly gathered herself to say a word of gratitude and apology. "Thank you very much for helping me," he said, "and I'm sorry for bumping into you, I wasn't looking where I was going." "Don't mention it" the person replied "and it was partly my fault too. I could have easily avoided it but I got distracted looking at you coming down the hall." he continued with a confident smirk playing on his features. Which caught Nova by surprise. "l-uh-looking at me? Why? I mean, is something wrong with the way I look?" Nova said frantically, checking herself all over to find something that could have drawn attention, "Is something stuck in my hair, wait it's the hoodie isn't it?" "No," he chuckled at how cute and flustered Nova was "There's nothing wrong with the hoodie you're wearing, or your hair for that matter, rather it's just the way you look, I mean, how perfect you look in these shades of black that are enveloping you," he remarked, the smirk growing into a flirty smile. It took a moment for Nova to process what she had heard, and a flush of pink began to spread on her cheeks as she finally reached the conclusion that she was being complimented and flirted with. "So, are you new here? I haven't seen you around here before." Nova blurted out to change the topic, wanting to hide her embarrassment. This person was not a student here.
"Yes, it's my first time coming to the campus grounds. I'm Zane Sullivan, it's nice to meet you" He greeted me with a smile. "Oh, I'm- I'm Nova Snow, the pleasure's all mine. I can show you around the campus if you want," "We could even grab lunch together" Zane smirked at this, pulling her closer by the waist, only then did Nova realize that his hands had never left his waist, making her even more flustered. Zane started to lean in close, and at this point Nova's mind had become mush, but she could sense all the eyes that were on them. She could feel Zane's breath lingering near her ear. He couldn't bear to keep her eyes open because of the embarrassment she was feeling. "That was brave of you, love. Asking me out on a Lunch date, " he heard Zane chuckle. All blood rushed to her cheeks as she opened her eyes in surprise and blushed furiously at the nickname given; Has it been 15 minutes since they met? Why was there a sense of nostalgia? Had they met before? Did she know him? Zane finally peeled his hands away from Nova's waist sparing her from any more embarrassment. He slid one of his hands into the pocket of his pants. That's when Nova realized what Zane was wearing. From the looks of it was a very expensive suit. and black opal cufflinks. That is when the realization hit her hard. Nova had messed up hadn't she? Zane is not a student here and from what she knows only the Professors and students are allowed in these corridors. She flirted with a new Professor and that too in front of a whole audience? Without giving it any further thought, Nova bolted away from there towards the Professor's lounge, not looking back once. He hoped none of the actual Professors had spotted her.
