Chapter 4 After Four Years

AFTER FOUR YEARS

Braylon gets off of the aeroplane while holding the little kid in his arms. He is waiting to check out. Someone is urging him to take the luggage.

"Braylon... Why are you slow like a snail? When are you going to take our luggage.", Zaneta shouts as Braylon glares at her. He isn't like a college student. In these three years, he changed a lot. Masculine body, sharp eyes, and a charming smile wearing a suit with a professional look on him.

"If you want to take luggage, then come and take it. Don't urge me, okay? I am holding Alan. How can I take luggage.", Braylon rolls his eyes. Alan is gorgeous, with Obsidian black hair, green Hazel eyes, and heavy eyelids, and Braylon is the classic doting dad. He inherited Braylon's gene.

Braylon is a nonbinary person. Until he got pregnant with Alan, he didn't know about his gender. At first, he was shocked because of pregnancy.

It's going to be called something sensitive and it ends up being called something like Trapped Bodies Get Sliced Up. No one can accept the fact that Men can also bear babies in their wombs.

He went abroad for his studies but his pregnancy messed up everything. He attended his entrance exam and entered the University with a top mark. But he couldn't attend regular classes.

He studied while staying inside and taking care of himself. Zaneta Battaney is a cousin of Braylon who was a doctor in the city where Braylon enrolled. She is three years older than him.

And she was the one who helped him with his pregnancy when he was abroad. She knew about his condition and helped him.

It's shocking though. He had a one-night stand with his best friend who was his secret crush for three years and got pregnant with his child. It's just like a novel but it became true in his life.

He felt safer abroad when he was pregnant than he would have in his native. If he was in his native, everyone would know about his pregnancy and that would blow up into a problem.

After all, He is a young master of Rhys' family. Who will respect one who has a womb? He doesn't want to bring trouble for his family and didn't let anyone know about his pregnancy apart from his cousin. The only person who would he believes is her.

Zaneta looked out for him. It's small. But he never felt comfortable being pregnant when he studied. He wasn't ashamed of being pregnant even though he is a man.

Alan is sleeping in his arms. He was engulfed by Lots of thoughts. What will his dad ask when he sees Alan? Will he encounter Eryx?

In these four years, Braylon didn't contact Eryx as Eryx also did. He felt guilty for loving his best friend. He didn't want to ruin their relationship but that ended up with him having sex with Eryx.

Society will look down on Eryx if Eryx accepts Braylon's love for him. Even though the law supports homosexuality, the people in this society look at them with disgusting looks. No one tried to understand the feeling. Whether the feelings are for a woman or a man, it's still their own decision and their life.

Loving the same gender as them isn't a disgusting thing at all.

People judge them for their activities. They are inhuman.

When one hand touched his shoulder, he snapped out of his thoughts.

"Why are you always spacing out? Braylon. Do you want to stay at the airport.? ", Zaneta raised her eyebrows. "I am sorry sis. I was lost in my thoughts. ", Braylon smiles awkwardly.

"You brat... You are in public and still lost in thoughts.", Zaneta scolds him as he smiles awkwardly. Zaneta sighed big. Since he got pregnant, he was always like that. Lost in thoughts, didn't focus on his studies, didn't interact with anyone, thinking about something, and sometimes he cried for nothing.

Zaneta was worried. After all, he is her little brother. After checking out from Airport, They hop into a cab. While traveling, Braylon keeps silent.

"Braylon... Are you going to see your father?", she looks at him as he nods as no. She looks at him with a questioning look.

"I don't know how to face him. What will he think if I go there with Alan? I don't dare to face him at all.", He caresses Alan's hair. "Then where are you going to stay? Don't tell me you are going to squeeze in with me.", She raises her eyebrows.

"No sis. I already arranged an apartment for us before we came here. After all, I can't bother you right. ", he chuckles. Zaneta stays silent. "And one more thing is, from tomorrow onwards, I have work. So can you please take care of Alan? I didn't apply for daycare either. I don't know what to do.", he pleads with her.

"I thought you were a good brat but look at you. You are always making me work for you. You damn brat.", She is annoyed. "I am sorry sis. I have no other choice other than that. Please...", he makes a pitiful face.

She sighed big.

"Ok... I will take him with me to the hospital. There is a place for children whose parents are busy with their work in a hospital.", She rolls her eyes.

As he thanked her, she again rolled her eyes. Even though she looks annoyed, she can't let Braylon suffer alone. Even if he is her cousin, she takes care of him like her biological brother.

Braylon tells the address of his apartment to the driver. After dropping off Zaneta, They go to his apartment. When they go, Alan wakes up from sleep. He puts his luggage aside.

"Where are we Dad?", Alan looks around. It's a new place for him. "We are going to live here baby. This is our home.", He pats Alan gently. Alan jumps from Braylon's arms and runs around the room.

"Don't run, or you will fall.", Braylon warns Alan. But Alan isn't in the mood to hear his words. Even though he looks like Braylon, his every habit and activity are like Eryx. Sometimes, he wonders whether he is Alan or Eryx.

Alan is like Eryx who is carefree and independent. He somewhat missed Eryx. He felt guilty. So he didn't try to contact Eryx. But who knows it's just an unreasonable guilt. He doesn't know Eryx also loves him. He thought that night was an accident because of alcohol.

Braylon cleans the room and unpacks their things. That apartment is more than enough for two people. There are no groceries or things for making food. So he decides to buy it.

"Alan... I am going out. Are you coming with me or staying here?", Braylon shouts from the doorway. "No, Dad. I am staying here. You can go.", he shouts from the room. He is playing video games on his mobile. For Alan's safety, Braylon brought a mobile for him. As a three-year-old boy, using a mobile phone is extreme for him but Braylon has no choice. Sometimes he blames himself for being weak to take care of his son.

Braylon leaves the apartment and goes to the supermarket to buy the things he needs. He didn't buy many things but enough for them.

When he pays the bill, he suddenly remembers his past with his friends. Whenever they felt bored, they went to Eryx's private villa and before going there, they would bring the things for cooking. After that, they would cook for them.

Always, Braylon was the one who cooked for them. Revilla was the one who helped him. Eryx and Alex didn't know anything about cooking at all. They would stay there for one day and after that, they would go home. His past beautiful memories are the only thing that keeps him normal. If not, he would have been mentally affected long ago.

The shopkeeper taps his finger as he snaps out of the thoughts. He pays the bill and takes his belongings. Before he leaves, he turns back and looks at the shop again. This shop is their favorite shop because the things in this shop are of the best quality.

The previous shopkeeper is friendly towards them. But the new shopkeeper doesn't even know him. He feels depressed. He misses his old days.

After that, he comes back to the apartment. When he comes back, Alan is roaming around. Braylon puts the bags on the table and starts to clean the veggies. It's already late. If he starts to cook now, he will finish it on time.

While cooking, he is looking after Alan. Alan isn't that much of a naughty kid yet he can't let a three-year-old child play around right. He is worried. After all, he is a single parent. Sometimes, he thinks that if Alan knows about his gender, will he also be disgusted by that.

The people in this society want us to be their puppets who will change everything for them. It's not because we are like that but because we are born in a judgemental society.

He lets out a deep sigh and starts to cook. After some time, he finishes cooking.

"Alan... Come and eat your food before it gets cold.", Braylon shouts as Alan runs towards him. "I will eat after Dad sometimes. I am not hungry at all. ", He looks at Braylon with his big bunny eyes. Before Alan could slip away, Braylon grabs his shirt and drags him to eat their dinner.

"Let's eat. It's already late.", Braylon raises his eyebrows. "You are a baddie... You are bullying a kid. If you force me, I will call Aunt Zaneta", Alan pouts cutely. Braylon sighs.

"Don't be stubborn Alan. I have work tomorrow. I have to review my documents. Eat your dinner and go to bed early.", he pats him but he pushes his hand away. "I hate you.", Alan groans.

Braylon can't speak anything at all. Even though he is his father, he doesn't know how to take care of a little kid.

Alan eats his food as much as he can and washes his hand. Braylon can understand how much he is angry with Braylon. Alan leaves the dining hall and goes to his room. The shutting sound of the door makes Braylon flinch for a second.

The anger he has is exactly the same as Eryx's. Eryx sighs and after finishing his dinner, he goes to his room. He takes some files from his bag and sits on the bed.

He opens the file and starts to study the case. After finishing his study, he worked in a detective section. When he decided to return to his hometown, because of his intelligence local police gave him a new case to finish.

When he studies that case, he finds some suspicious things in it. He marks something in that file.

He is analyzing the case details until midnight. After that, he goes to bed.

Braylon is sleeping soundly. But suddenly he feels heavy on him. He struggles to breathe. Eryx's words rang in his ears. He wants to forget that night but Alan's presence makes him remember everything about Eryx. If he didn't have sex with Eryx, Braylon wouldn't get pregnant with Alan.

Braylon wakes up from sleep abruptly. He is breathing heavily. His all-over body is sweating like hell. He looks around and finds him in his bed.

He drinks a glass of water and falls on the bed again. He rubs his forehead. He can't forget about that night. He gets up from the bed and walks towards the door. He hesitates to open the door. But after that, he comes out of his room and goes to Alan's room.

He opens the door. Alan is sleeping soundly. When he sees him sleeping soundly, he feels relieved. After that, he goes to sleep.
