Chapter 5 Out of control

Liam's POV

Rage was losing it every second, urging me to go snatch our mate and claim her in front of the whole world, I have never felt so useless in my 29 years being alive, she was there, but I couldn't touch or feel her the mate bond called unto her wanting to reach her and claim her, it took everything I had to control myself.

I had a dream last night of us together with our pups running around the pack house. We looked so happy, and I couldn't ask for more, why the hell would the moon goodness decide to punish me this way, I have always wanted my mate, waited for her, and then all of a sudden, she comes into my life and is in love with someone else, the thought of that person being my brother hurts more.

I know he loves her, I've seen it he's even told me one time ago when we were talking on the phone that he found his heart in someone who isn't his mate and doesn't care for a mate being with her, I laughed at his words who wouldn't want his mate, but I have seen it the way he looks at her, Derick's never looked at anyone like that he cares for her.

But she's my "MATE", mine and no matter how much I love my brother, I can't let him have her because I am not giving up on her. "Alpha." I hear Greg, call outside from my office,

"Come in Greg. What is it? "

"Alpha the council has asked for a meeting with you,"

" What the hell is their problem, I just got back, and now they're acting as if they can't solve problems without me."

"Greg, tell them I'll meet with them tonight." "Okay, Alpha." Greg's my beta and my best friend. We have been friends for as long as I can, I remember, I chose him as my beta because he fits the position and has strong genes for the position, his been great and even went along with me on my journey as a pilgrim.

I was done with my paperwork in an hour, I walked to the kitchen and her sweet citrus scent mixed with pine and honey hit me, I couldn't control Rage and for a moment he took over, there she was seated with Mom, dad, and Derick drinking coffee.

Rage walked up to her, Dad must have noticed it because he stood up, came to me in quick strides, and blocked my way before I could get to her,

"Son what is it? Give control back to Liam." he says in a really low voice,

"Dad, what's wrong with him?" Derick asks, coming towards us.

"Rage is in control Derick, we need to get him out of here." Dad must have mind-linked Mom, cause that minute she took Macy and led her out the back door of the kitchen.

"Rage calm down, give Liam control."

"Dad, I think he's going to shift! We need to get him out of the house now!"

We struggle in their hold wanting to get to her, but Dad pushes me out of the house, and in that second I shift and Rage runs into the woods.

DERICK POV

Liam's been acting strange since last night, I tried talking to him, but he shut me off. I don't know what's going on with him, but I hope he gets through it because he doesn't look good.

Rage taking control of his body was something Liam could take control of, he never lets his wolf take full control of his body to that extent, something must be wrong.

Dad and I are concerned about him. I go upstairs and find Macy looking out the window, lost in her thoughts.

"Hey baby, are you okay?"

"Hmm I'm good, is your brother okay? He wasn't looking good this morning, I hope everything's fine."

"Liam's good, babe, he's just stressed."

"Are you sure it's not because of me? I mean, he doesn't like me that much."

"Macy listen to me, my brother does not hate you okay? I promise he's just being like that because of work and not you, so please stop thinking that way."

"It's hard to believe, Derick, but I hope it's true."

"Don't get worked up because of that babe, he'll come around, okay? You ready to go?"

"Yes I am, I already arranged my stuff."

"Okay, I'll go get the car ready, so we'll leave in no time."

I had to go drop Macy back in the city, knowing she felt intimidated by my brother.
