Wait a minute – I remember he didn't like dogs, right? What happened? Why does he have a dog now? Well, people change! When I saw that breakfast was ready, I went straight to the table and practically devoured everything Katastrophe cooked, leaving just a little bit for her.
When I entered the office, my forehead furrowed when I heard the sound of running water. You know, that sound that's like someone taking a shower? That's what I was hearing. Panic immediately set in because what if a water pipe burst inside Justin's office? Despite being extremely annoyed at him for naming his dog after me, I still had work to do!
I entered Justin's office early because Mr. Thompson had repeatedly told me yesterday that being late was not allowed. My lateness yesterday was my first and last. So, without hesitation, I entered Justin's office.
It's not easy, you know. What if there were important documents inside that got soaked because of the burst pipe? As I stepped inside his office, I didn't see anything wet. I even approached his working table and grimaced at the sight of the numerous papers he needed to read and approve.
I checked carefully if there was any leaking water in his office, but it seemed like there wasn't. I scanned the entire office, and I could still hear the sound of running water until my gaze caught the door at the far end of his office on the right side. You wouldn't notice it immediately because the door and the handle matched the color of the office wall. I slowly walked towards it, pressing my ear against the door, and that's when I heard the sound of running water.
Okay, it should be fine if I enter Justin's bathroom, right? After all, he wasn't here yet, and it was for work purposes! So, without any hesitation, I grabbed the doorknob, and luckily, it wasn't locked. I twisted it open and finally managed to open it completely. That's when I confirmed that the sound of running water came from here.
"Dang!" / "Aaaahhh!" I let out a scream while Justin cursed. I covered my eyes with one hand, but it was still a fill-in-the-blanks situation because I could still see Justin's naked body! My god!
This guy is so hot! His legs are so sexy, all muscled and with a lot of hair. His legs are clearly fair-skinned! In contrast, my legs are just light brown. I envy his skin color. Huhu! My gaze slowly moved upward, and Justin was a bit too late when he said to me -
"Don't look!" – but I already saw -
"Ayy! Sawa!" I jumped in surprise and ended up staring at Justin's snake. It was as fat as a mushroom, but a giant mushroom, and his head looked just like a mushroom too. Urgh! I couldn't get my work done properly because I couldn't get Justin's fair-skinned mushroom out of my mind!
I felt my cheeks and ears burning, and I was sure that they were as red as a tomato now.
Fortunately, after that embarrassing scene with Justin, he didn't come out of his office. He didn't give me any instructions, so I just focused on my work as his secretary-answering phone calls, booking appointments, and emailing him his schedule.
Around eleven AM, the door of Justin's office suddenly opened, and I straightened up from my seat. It was surprising to see him leave his office at this time. I wondered what he was up to. Of course, I could feel my cheeks and ears turning red as our gazes met again.
I thought he had somewhere else to go, and I was grateful for that. Every time I saw him, I remembered our awkward moment earlier! But now, my mind was filled with images of his giant mushroom. I ended up swallowing repeatedly when my gaze shifted to the middle of his legs. I wouldn't have looked away if I hadn't heard those consecutive coughs.
I subtly shifted my gaze away from the middle of his thighs and tried to focus on his face, but damn it! Now that I was looking at his face, my imagination took a different turn! It was Justin and me in a room, and -
"Damn it! Joanna, will you f ucking stop daydreaming of me? It's working hours." Justin's authoritative command snapped me back to reality. My nose practically stretched from his words.
If I hadn't bitten my lower lip, I might have blurted out and asked him how he knew I was daydreaming about him. I just shook my head and avoided eye contact, then replied.
"Take your things, we're going to visit Site four," he said to me, and when I looked at him again, he was already walking out of the office. Site four? Where is that? Oh well, I'll just follow him, or he might leave me behind, that jerk!
Once again, I found myself in Justin's car, sitting in the shotgun seat. Just like yesterday, he made me sit there before we finally left Smith House. But before we even arrived at Site four, I received another scolding from him because I thought I would be sitting in the passenger seat at the back.
"What the f uck Joanna! I am not your goddamn driver! Move your pretty a$s there and sit here!" he pointed to the shotgun seat. So now, as we drove to Site four, I sat there with a scowl on my face.
Luckily, Site four was relatively close to our office, so the journey didn't take long. Once Justin parked his car in a spacious lot, I quickly got out and surveyed the area. Many construction workers were busy with their respective tasks, and there were also large vehicles being used for building construction. Some workers glanced in our direction, and I couldn't help but feel uncomfortable. After all, Katastrophe lent me a skirt, but it looked more like a party skirt than an office attire. Geez!
I could hear some murmurs as they looked at me, and I had no choice but to avoid their gaze. I wasn't used to being the center of attention, especially from men. Suddenly, I felt the urge to go back inside Justin's car and pretend to be sick. These guys were looking at me like I was a meal they wanted to devour! Gulp. Gulp. Gulp. To my surprise, though –
"What are you looking at?! Go back to work! Damn!" Justin spoke with full force in English, glaring at the workers. As soon as I shifted my gaze back to them, their attention returned to their work, and they became busy once again.
I glanced at Justin, who was still giving me an intense stare. He looked at me from head to toe, and then scowled. My nose practically stretched from his gaze. What did I do now?!
"Let's go, I have an urgent matter here with Engineer Lopez," he said, turning away and starting to walk. Of course, I quickly followed, but when he suddenly stopped, I wasn't expecting it, and I accidentally bumped into him.
"Ouch! Your back is so hard, Justin." It was only after I said it that I realized what I had just blurted out. I bit my lower lip and held my breath as he slowly turned around. There wasn't a trace of emotion on his face, which made me even more nervous, until –
"I am your Boss, Miss Cruz, so treat me like one." And then, the next thing I knew, he was already far away from me, talking to the workers he scolded earlier, while I remained rooted to my spot. It was because he had emphasized the word 'Miss' with my last name that made me even more anxious.
