Chapter 4 4

The path to Bernardo's house wasn't that far from mine, but it was a big house with the initials on the lawn of the house written in M de Marrontinne

We went down and the security guards soon came as if we were going to rob that big house, as if we had some physical capacity to steal something since we couldn't even make a run without needing a SAMU right away, let alone run from the police

Security – Good afternoon! How can I help you?

Mariana – Good afternoon! We would like to speak with Bernardo Marrontinne, we are from his school, or rather, from his former school and our current one!

Maria Cecília – Mariana, you are going to confuse the young man!

Mariana – He understood, didn't he, young man?

Security – Perfectly! But Bernardo Marrontinne traveled with his parents and siblings, he has no plans to return. We stayed just to take care of the house

Maria Cecília – Damn! Once again fate cutting me off, it's Mariana it's not meant to be!

Mariana – Could it be that now that the love of your life has embarked on a one-way cruise, will you let me introduce you to some possible loves of your parakeet?

Maria Cecília – It's everything I need the least friend!

I was so sad that even going home by bus became a possible alternative since we spent Taxi in vain, when I got home I found a mess at the door of the house and the salon and I went in desperate

Maria Cecília – Mom! What is happening? Why are you and grandma crying? - I said distressed

Blanca – Your father left and took Elizabeth with all her things, how am I going to live without my little princess daughter?

Maria Cecília – How did Mom leave? In the morning he was at home, I was surprised, but he said that the lady left him to take care of her until grandma arrived and that's why I didn't worry!

Blanca – I let him because he said that Dona Theya would come take care of her, he set it up to run away with my little princess!

Maria Cecília – Calm down mom, let's call the police and try to calm down

Theya – That was your fault! Is it possible that you're not even good enough to take care of your sister? Your mother works so hard and the least you could do is look at your sister and you don't!

Maria Cecília – Grandma, it wasn't my fault! How was I to know he wanted to make an escape with my sister?

Theya – Why did you leave after you got home from school? I was getting off the bus too when I saw you coming in all excited. It's not enough to have killed your brother, do you want the end of your sister too?

And even though I knew that neither of those things was my fault, I still always felt guilty deep down, because maybe if I really hadn't gone after Bernardo at his house, I could have been here and prevented my father from leaving with my sister.

But deep down I knew it wasn't my fault, it was never my fault and the problem was never me, it was Grandma who didn't like me!

15 years later... - Bernardo Marrontine

15 years have passed and with them all my triggers, 15 years ago I was suspended from school and my father had been saying since before that that school was not at my level for dreaming that I was in the Armed Forces and that I should change schools, but i thought i was bullshit

I always really liked Santa Inês school for having good teachers, I already had several friends, friends and of course several kittens too, however, until the day an idiot came calling my cousin Ana a slug

I couldn't stand it and went after that imbecile, regardless of my cousin's sexual orientation or whoever it was, he could never judge or mock anyone because of their sexual orientation

I gave him what he deserved and I was called to the board with Douglas and Gabriel, who also received 3 days of suspension just like me

I was heartbroken, but not because of a simple suspension, but because of my mother who was pregnant and had been hospitalized 2 days before and no one had given me any news on how she was doing, treating me like I was a 5 year old child

My father, who already wanted a reason for us to move to another country, took advantage of that suspension to leave for good, it was me, my two 3-year-old twin brothers and our youngest, Melissa, who my mother had given birth to and what amazed me was where was my mother that no one said anything

Bernardo – Daddy, where is my mother?

Leon – She doesn't come my son, I'll explain later! - He said placing my sister in his arms.

My 3-year-old brothers, as much as they didn't understand it well, but they still missed it, my mother was always very dear to everyone and was a great mother.

She always put us to sleep, told stories to my brothers and even though I was 18 at the time, still every night she stopped by my room to see if everything was okay and to know how my day had been.

The day I got into a fight and my dad pulled me out of school, I didn't have time to say goodbye to any of my faithful school friends who were Christian and Jack.

I believe that the only one who knew something more concrete was Ana. As soon as we arrived at our destination which was Monterrey, dad informed me that mom had died in childbirth that she only had time to look at her daughter and passed away, mom already had a case of depression and even though dad was very severe, he still he was a great father and husband
