Chapter 5 No one can stop me...

Cezar chose not to speak anymore, and after about twenty minutes, he and Sandrine arrived at a small hospital. The hospital is secluded, so there aren't many people there. Sandrine was following Cezar while she was in silence. She can't help but think about what Cezar told her earlier.

'He wants me to kill myself? I can't believe he told me that!'

Sandrine tried to stop thinking and couldn't help but look around. The place was quiet, she didn't see any nurses walking around, and it was evident that the facility was old. She also didn't see any patients, so she wondered if that place could be called a hospital. But even so, Sandrine didn't pay any attention to that because the important thing was that her wounds could be treated.

Sandrine was quiet while she was treated by a young woman wearing a doctor's white coat. The doctor has light brown hair tied neatly, and her narrow eyes and small pink lips are also noticeable. The woman was treating her so focused. Sandrine couldn't feel any pain from what the doctor rubbed on her face and wounds.

It also took a few minutes to treat her face until later, the doctor started to inspect and examine her right leg.

"The swelling in your foot is bad, but I think you don't need an x-ray," the woman said initially without even looking at her. "It seems that only the flesh is affected, and there is no damage to your bones. Just cold packs, and then I will also prescribe you an ointment to apply to the sore part. For now, let's just put gauze on it to avoid pain. I'm just going to get something outside." The doctor added calmly and smiling, to which Sandrine only nodded as her answer. "Just wait here for a moment; I'll be back right away." And the doctor had left already.

Michiko came out of the clinic to go to the storage, where she saw Cezar in the pathway leaning against the wall. He was still playing with a metal cigar lighter in his hand. It's silver in color with an engraved MM that stands for Cezar Marcini.

When Michiko e passed in front of the young man, she immediately spoke to him, "Help me with the things I need to get from storage. I need a hand, follow me," Michiko said.

Cezar nods weakly to her.

Michiko didn't even bother looking back at Cezar because she felt he was already following her. She went straight into the storage room, where Michiko took everything she needed to treat Sandrine's foot.

"Who owns her?" Michiko immediately asked Cezar when she felt the young man had entered the room. Michiko turned her back to Cezar as she read the ointment label she was holding.

"Enrique," Cezar answered shortly. When Michiko heard Enrique's name, she automatically stopped reading and immediately turned to face Cezar.

"Are you fooling me, Marcini? Enrique doesn't bring his slaves to the hospital to get treated. If he doesn't kill them, he exiled it to a faraway place," Michiko said, thinking Cezar was lying to her.

"I know, but she belongs to Enrique... and taken and kept by Zelus."

Michiko was even more stunned by what her friend said. "Zelus?"

"Yes. Zelus hides Sandrine from Enrique after the girl escapes from him. Zelus was the one Sandrine asked for help when she ran away." Cezar explained. He also has trust in Michiko that she will not speak against Zelus because they are friends.

Michiko couldn't help but frown and worry too. "Have you told Zelus what could happen?"

Cezar nodded and then spoke again, "Yeah. I already told him everything. I also reminded him of the rules and the possible consequences of his actions."

"And what did he say?"

"He's determined to keep her."

"Kare wa jigoku no yo ni hontoni kurutte imasu!" Michiko said, annoyed, and she just walked passed Cezar and then left the storage room. (He's really crazy like hell!)

Cezar just shook his head at what his friend said because he didn't understand her remarks. Remember, he is pure Italian, while Michiko and his friend Yukiro are Japanese.

Michiko just smiled at Sandrine when their eyes met again when she entered the clinic. Sandrine just smiled at her. She started to treat her again, and this time, she did it quickly because Michiko thought of meeting Zelus later.

A few minutes pass, and the doctor finishes treating Sandrine, so they return to Cezar's car to go home. The young man was driving quietly while Sandrine felt hungry.

'I'm hungry.' Sandrine couldn't help but say those words in her mind. She didn't even know if she should tell the man she was hungry. But in the end, she chooses to keep quiet and keep her feelings of hunger to herself because they are not close enough to say those.

When they arrived at Zelus's house, Cezar stopped the car in front and faced Sandrine.

"These are the medicine given to me earlier, and you need to take them to fasten the healing process of your wounds. Add to that, the ones you will use to clean your wounds are also inside the bag," Cezar said casually.

Sandrine accepted the paper bag. "Thank you," she said weakly.

Sandrine was about to leave the car, but Cezar stopped her quickly by gently holding her arm.

At first, Sandrine was stunned by that, but soon she slowly faced Cezar again and looked at him in wonder. The young man was looking straight at her, and a few seconds late, Cezar let go of Sandrine's arm and spoke, "I hope you don't mind what I told you earlier. It's just that, Zelus is my friend, and I don't want him to get into trouble."

Zelus was on his way to his office after visiting Enrique in the hospital. He'll have to take the papers he needs to sign and leave right away. While driving, he thought of calling his friend Cezar, who only rang a few times until someone on the other end answered.

"Give me some update," he said nonchalantly.

[I just dropped off Sandrine at your house.] Cezar answered.

"Did Michiko say something to you?"

[She didn't ask me any more details about what she saw of Sandrine's condition. But she knew that Sandrine was Enrique's slave.]

"Alright. I'll be home later. Thank you for your time."

[What news about Enrique?] Cezar immediately asked him when he was about to hang up. He was stunned by that, but it didn't take long before he answered his friend.

"He's fine. But based on what he said earlier, it looks like he's really determined and has no intention to stop finding that woman," he answered flatly.

[Then, give this girl back to him, Zelus. It won't be long before Enrique finds out that you are the one hiding Sandrine from him. It will be a huge trouble, especially for you.]

Zelus's grip on the steering wheel tightened because of what his friend said. He doesn't want that Cezar seems scared.

"Are you damn scared, Cezar? Are you that coward?"

[No. But it will be your fault if it happens. Remember rule number 3 in our organization. You have broken rule number 2, it's a big sin, and you know it.] Zelus was about to speak, but he heard the call being disconnected on the other line, so that Zelus couldn't help, but his jaw tighten.

In the organization that the three of them and Enrique belong to, there are rules that he breaks.

Rule 2, owning one does not mean owning another. That's why in their organization, the businesses are different from one another; Zelus owns various companies related to buildings, Cezar owns casinos, and Enrique owns firearms. They can't be the same to avoid being rivals; the same happens to women.

The third rule is that a big punishment is waiting for those who break it and commit a sin.

And those are the ones that Zelus violated; that's why he knows why his friend Cezar reacted like that.

Zelus knows that Cezar knows something about what happened between him and Enrique four years ago, but Enrique has already paid for that, but it's not enough for Zelus. He is also ready to accept punishment for those he has violated, as long as the essential thing is that he can get revenge, and this time, no one can stop him
