Chapter 3 Illicit

Assimilating what was happening was all she wanted, but her mind was in shock, Karen just sat there watching the sleeping man, she blinks and tries to say something, kick him out of her room or something but her lips just tremble as she watches him

"What the... hell... everything last night... was... with him!"

Vladimir felt the Morning Light so frowning he starts to wake up and when he opens his eyes the first thing he saw was Karen's pale face, he remembered what happened last night and yet he doesn't know how the brunette he thought she hated him ended up giving him the best night of sex he's ever had.

They both look at each other's faces for a few seconds and Karen panicking started to scream making Vladimir get up from the bed scared, she got out of the bed and ran terrified to the bathroom locking herself in.

-What the hell is wrong with you! -Vladimir shouted in annoyance.

-You... you raped me! -I'm going to report you!

Vladimir laughs in bewilderment as it didn't seem logical to him what she was saying, she thought "Is she out of her mind?"

-What the hell are you talking about, you're the one who came into my room in the middle of the night and made me...!

-Shut up!!! -she shouted ashamed that she said what she did -Between us nothing happened... I... I'm a married woman!

-Of course... although I don't remember you saying that last night, on the contrary, you were moaning that you wanted more from me.

Karen's face was like that of a tomato, she falls down sitting on the floor without believing that she was capable of having slept with another man that wasn't her wife and on top of that she said that to this man that she thought he was a troglodyte.

-I'm going out or do you want me to force my way in, it's my room and my bathroom.

-That's not true -she said desperate and nervous at the same time -It's from the hotel.

"Did I really say that?"

She subtly bangs her head against the bathroom door feeling like an idiot for the answer she gave Vladimir. Running his hand over his face he looks for a way to convince her to come out of her bathroom, at that he hears something vibrating, the vibration was coming from the floor, searching for the sound, he found Karen's cell phone under her clothes.

"Love."

She cocks a smile as she reads the name of the incoming call. She approaches the bathroom door again and tells Karen that her love was calling her, like a spring she stands up and opens the door, she snatches the cell phone with both hands dropping the sheets that covered her body, she answers the call and before speaking she sighs to reassure herself that she didn't notice her strange behavior. While she was talking on the phone, she did not notice that she was completely naked in front of Vladimir and that he was leering at her.

-No, as you think, I'm not a drinker until I lose my mind and you know it.

Vladimir could not resist her body and even more when he turned his back to her, he observes her back, his eyes slowly go down to her ass where he notices the mole on one of her buttocks, he approaches her who was still talking to her husband, with a mischievous smile, he slams his hand hard against her ass making her let out a scream that seemed more like a moan.

Cutting the call abruptly she immediately turns around and slaps him for what he did, passing by she picks up her clothes and starts to get dressed as fast as she could, but Vladimir grabs her by the hand before she took her heels.

-Now you're talking about you, don't you think that formalities at this point... don't matter? And even more after tonight...

-He wants to stop reminding me every time of the mistake I made.

-So now it's a mistake. -said Vladimir without believing a word of it.

-Yes, it was, what happened last night, it never happened, you and I don't know each other.

Vladimir keeps his mocking smile and that bothers Karen, he takes her by surprise with an effusive kiss leaving her confused, he lets go of her hand and she immediately leaves the room while she feels that her heart, is maddened by a simple kiss.

She runs to her room and when she was about to enter she sees her husband coming out of his assistant's room, she stands there feeling a pang in her chest, Joseph notices her presence and approaches her calmly.

-Good morning Mrs. Lodwood," said the assistant, "Mr. Lodwood, I will make the call to cancel the meeting forced for now with the owner of the company.

-Good. Because this time, I will be very busy with my wife and will not have time to attend to it.

As the assistant leaves, Karen looks uneasily at her husband.

-Why were you leaving your assistant's room?

-I knocked a couple of times to see if she knew where you were last night, but she didn't answer so I forced my way in, apparently she and you were the only ones having fun last night. Instead I... I had to spend the night alone in the room.

-Alone?" she said with a lump in her throat.

-Yes, I... I felt guilty for leaving you alone on our second honeymoon night so I came back early with some roses to apologize and have an unforgettable evening, but I couldn't find you. I waited for you all night and when you didn't come back I got worried, that's why I went to my assistant, I thought he would be with you or that he would know something about you.

Hearing him talk made Karen feel guilty for what she did, the remorse in her conscience was so great that she made the decision to tell him the truth of what happened last night, she didn't want to hide anything from Joseph.

-Joseph... the truth is that I... -she kept silent while images of some alternate future of what could happen if she told him the truth went through her mind -Last night, I wanted to surprise you and I looked for you in the casino and everywhere in the hotel but when I didn't find you I felt bad because I thought you were disappointed in me, that's why I had a couple of drinks in the pool, without realizing it I fell asleep.

-Honey -Joseph hugs her -I chose you because I love you, there is no one more perfect than you to be by my side as my wife.

"I couldn't... I can't say something like that to him, I know him and he would hate me forever."
