Chapter 8 See you

Locked up in the dungeon for four days was Luke, he was already going crazy thinking about what could happen to Violet rather than himself. She had already been chosen as the breeder for the Alpha which meant he could go to her as he pleaded.

"No" he shook his head denying such fact, the thought of his mate being with another man was killing him.

"Look who we have here" A voice he detested so much said until the person stood in front of him.

"I don't remember us being close to the point that you would visit me" Luke said seeing his disgusting face.

"It is also good to check up on your enemies"

"You must be really happy having me locked up in here" Luke asked, he could see the obvious smirk on his face.

"I am" Denver replied. Anything to feel him feel at the top while Luke was withering in the ground underneath him. He was super satisfied to see him that way, locked up, in chains, and unable to do anything as he used to.

"I am not gonna hide it, I really am happy that you are in this predicament. It gives me so much joy to see you like this" He added.

Luke held his breath for a minute, the brown walls were a constant reminder that he was helpless in a pack where he could have been the Alpha. He wanted so much to wipe that smile off his face but what could he do when his hands were bound?.

"I had always known you were not fit to be the Alpha"

"If you are here to gloat about your father being the Alpha then you may leave, I have heard enough" Luke commanded him.

"Funny enough you do not tell me what to do. I can't leave until I have told you what I came to tell you" he stated.

Of course Denver had something to say to him, his tongue was like that of a viper always saying whatever mean thing was on his mind. He wouldn't just come to gloat to Luke about his father being the Alpha, he must have had other motives.

"Make it hasty, your presence along is enough for me to snap your neck" He warned.

"Uhhmm. Just wanted to ask you how it feels to have your mate taken away from you and given to another?" Denver asked him.

Luke wasn't paying full attention to his words the moment he walked in but once he began to talk about Violet his senses picked up and he became eager.

"How is she?" Luke asked him making Denver laugh. He wasn't going to expect a positive answer from him.

"I hate to be the bearer of bad news" he teased leaning on the wall.

"What are you talking about? what happened to my mate?" Luke asked worried, he wanted to rip the chains from his hands and force the words out of Denver's mouth.

"Last night might not have been the best night for her but I bet it was the best for my father" he said each sentence bit by bit enjoying how eager Luke was to know more. At least he had gotten his attention and was definitely going to make him suffer from hearing such news.

"Did he touch her?" Luke asked, his eyes were red and his veins bulged out of his body from anger. Deep in his guts, he wanted to kill Ryan more than anything.

"You didn't think he was not going to touch her, she is the breeder to the Alpha. What else do breeders do other than tender to the needs of Alpha" Denver mocked him.

"You are lying, you are trying to mess with me. Ryan would not dare to touch my mate" Luke shooked his head. He didn't want to believe that Ryan had actually slept with his mate.

"Why would I lie over such a thing, I saw her walking out of his room with tears in her eyes and her undies in her hand. Doesn't that imply something to you?" Denver asked him making him rethink it.

"No" he kept on shaking his head.

"You can't deny the fact that your mate now belongs to my father and I bet you that he won't let her go" Denver stated crossing his arms. He could see Luke getting mad by the second and he loved every bit of his fury. He knew he wouldn't be able to do anything about it. The deed had happened and Violet was no longer a virgin.

"He wouldn't dare touch my mate" Luke denied it over and over again. He couldn't picture Ryan holding his mate much less touch her. It had to be some sort of prank made by Denver to piss him off.

"You are lying to me" he added.

"It won't be long until she bears the Alpha's pup and then you would believe me. Your mate is long gone Luke, the earlier you accept it, the better. She has been wasted by my father, she now belongs to him"

"You take back what you said, my mate doesn't belong to him" Luke grabbed the metals tightly as he yelled at him.

"Keep denying the truth" Denver laughed and left him to his thought. He wanted Luke to be tormented thinking if what he said was actually true. He was certain he would try to deny it as much as he could but the plain truth would always be there that his mate no longer belonged to him and was now a breeder to Alpha Ryan.

Down to his knees, Luke fell, heartbroken, confused, and disoriented, he was beginning to think of how traumatizing it must have been for Violet for her to run out of the room in tears. It hurt him twice as much to think she had to experience that herself. He was supposed to protect her as her mate but he had failed to do that and instead got himself locked up.

He felt truly sorry for her that his heart ached thinking about it.

His poor mate was going through a lot than he was and it was painful to know that he couldn't do anything to help her.

An hour later, Luke could hear footsteps getting closer to him and a familiar scent.

A man stood in front of him with bright blue eyes, "I never thought I would see you behind bars".

"Oh good grace you are here, i need your help" Luke said. Seeing his best friend, all the hope he had lost was returned.

"What is it?"

"I need to see Violet" Luke requested of him.

"What!" Leo let out in shock.

"Do you know how I was able to get here. I knocked out three guards on my way here and you telling me to bring Violet to you. The security around this pack house is already too tight, I could only get in because I am the Gamma's son but you are asking for too much" Leo complained to him.

It took him a lot to get there but Luke was concerned about seeing his mate than him which made him bitter.

"Please Leo, I have no one else to help me but you" Luke stated.

"This place is heavily guarded then think about what could happen to the breeder of the Alpha. She would be monitored too" Leo reasoned with him.

"She is not a breeder, don't call her that. She is my mate" Luke corrected him for referring to her as a breeder.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to refer to her that way"

Luke grabbed Leo's hand from the space between the metal bars, he started at him with desperate eyes.

"Denver was here and he told me something that I couldn't accept. Something happened to Violet last night and I wasn't there to save her" he relayed.

"What could you have done, you have already caused enough trouble for her" Leo stated and a frown formed on his face.

"Are you going to help me or not?, I cannot remain like this knowing what she is going through?" He answered.

Leo pulled his hand from his and rest it on his chin.

"Fine I will help you but I cannot guarantee that I would be able to get her to see you" he stated.

"She will see me, I can bet on that," Luke said completely confident that Violet would not turn down his offer to see him.

"I will try to speak to my father about letting you out. But the next time you get yourself locked up, you know my father would not be able to save you again" Leo stated.

"Thank you, just help me get to her" he replied.

Leo left immediately before the guards woke up realizing that they were on the floor. They searched around and noticed nothing was irregular in the dungeon and all the prisoners were present including Luke.

Heading straight to Violet's room was Leo when he found a guard standing by the corridor to her room.

"Good afternoon Gamma" the guard greeted him knowing his position in the pack.

"How is she?" he asked.

"She is okay"

"I need to see her, open the door" he tried to use his position to get the guard to obey him.

"The Alpha doesn't want anyone to see her" the guard replied.

"What nonsense do you mean by that, so you know who you are talking to. Did the Alpha also say that that the Gamma cannot see her, did he tell you that directly?" Leo asked finding it absurd that Violet would not be allowed to see anyone.

"It was his direct orders"

"Fine" Leo said and turned away. Then he ran back towards the guard in a haste pouncing on him. He knocked the guard out dragging him into Violet's room.

Violet was seated in her room still jittery about last night when the door suddenly opened. She wanted to hide but when she saw Leo she easily calmed down.

"Are you okay?" He asked her but her eyes were on the knocked out guard laying on the ground.

Leo noticed and smiled,

"Don't worry, he isn't dead" he answered her unasked question.

She nodded her head calming down.

"Are you okay?" He asked again.

"What?"

"Luke told me something happened to you last night, did you injure yourself?" He asked and she shook her head. Leo had not been told the details of what happened last night but seeing Violet now, she looked okay to him and he wondered why Luke was worried.

"Well Luke requested to see you. He says it is important that he must see you" he relayed to her.

"Right now?"

"I don't know but it must be today" he replied.

"Okay"

Violet watched Leo drag the guard out of her room until they were out of sight then she knew she was clear to leave the room.

She changed into a new dress and got ready to see Luke.

Pulling the doorknob, she instantly froze and the shocking event of last night filled her head just when she was about to step out.

It was because she had wanted to see Luke that night she got caught and ended up in the Alpha's room, she was lucky to escape last night because of her tears but if she gets caught this time then she might not escape.

She pushed back the door locking herself in as she sat back on the bed.

"How did Luke know something happened to her last night?"

"Is that what he wanted to talk to her about" she covered herself with the quilt thinking hard about it.

Violet really wanted to see him but she also didn't want to get in trouble with the Alpha so she choosed to protect herself and refused to go.

That night Luke waited for her but there was no sign of her ever coming, once it was midnight, he realized that she was not coming to see him and he felt bad about it. All he wanted was a glimpse of her and to know if she was really okay but he never got the chance.
