Chapter 5 Taken

"Put me down, you good for nothing egoistic Primitive Mutt," I yelled struggling to get out of my mate's grasp.

"Not a chance sweetheart," He replied nonchalantly

I was beyond furious, I tried to aim for his balls as if he could read my thoughts he tighten his grip on my legs holding me in one place, I tried all I can to summon my magic but I couldn't, it is as if the little portal I usually beckon my magic from has been completely blocked, I can't feel anything no magical tingles except ones I am getting from being too close to my mate. It wounded my tribrid pride to feel weak and useless against him because I couldn't put on a fight like I always for what I want or believe in which is why I consider myself rebellious, but instead, I remained mute shoving down all the strong cusses I intended to let out, I just allow him to carry me home to save the little dignity I have left.

When we get back to my house, I started struggling for him to put me down, "Let me down," I tried pushing his chest but he slammed my face in his chest and wrapped my arms between his chest and my body. He didn't reply until he reached the front of the house and stood still, I moved my head to see what was happening. No one was there and it looks like he was mind linking someone.

He put me down and immediately tried to snake his arms around my waist which I protested and stepped away from him leaving his hand hanging in the air for a few seconds before he fisted it and look away, I turned to walk inside my house when three black jeeps parked in front of the house. In a flash, the Alpha king was next to me "We are leaving," he announced without a care about my opinion or what I was about to do.

"What? Excuse me," I turned around looking at him deadpanned in the eyes "First of all there is no we, second I am not going anywhere with you,"

"Are you sure about that sweetheart?" He asked nonchalantly taunting me and turned to his Beta "Where is the Tranquilizer," He asked.

"What the hell is that," I tried to move back when a saw him hiding the thing that was handed to him, but he was faster than me, he injected something into my neck and draw me closer to his body. "Sleep Sweetheart," he whispered smoothly before my eyes instantly dropped.

I woke up to the chirping of birds and the sweet smell of flowers and nature wrapped around me, I slowly sat up groaning a little bit because of the sunlight that blinds my eyes, it was coming directly from the opened glass door that leads to a balcony.

"Good morning your highness," a sweet feminine voice said grabbing my attention, I couldn't help but notice the tantalizing smell of her blood. My stomach rumbled as I felt a burning hunger down my throat, I unconsciously licked my lips "Who are you?" I asked looking at her skeptically.

"I am Tina, your personal maid," she replied with a little bow of her head.

"Okay," I drawled looking around the room as I struggle to remember what happened before I lost consciousness. "Where the hell am I?" I stood up walking toward the open balcony door, with the thought that maybe some fresh air will help me suppress the sudden urge to tear out her throat and drain her completely dry because of how hungry I am. I fisted my hands so tight my nails pierced into my palm, trying to stop my hand from shaking and use the slight pain to divert my attention from her mouthwatering smell.

"You are in the Shadow Castle Your highness," Tina answered even though my question wasn't directed at her.

"How long have I been sleeping?" I asked looking around the room.

"Two days your highness," No wonder I am super hungry, and I haven't fed in quite a long while.

"Stop calling me that, my name is Natacha," I mumbled closing my eyes tightly. I raised my hand to open the balcony door but felt a solid invisible force in front of me "A barrier, so I am a captive now," I hissed angrily turning around to look at the maid. Anger and hunger were never a good combination for any vampire, I felt my fangs aching as my vision zoomed to her throbbing artery, I could clearly hear the sound of her heart pumping blood all around her body, "Get out," I bellowed clutching my head with my hands because I couldn't resist the hungry anymore, she ran towards the door when she saw my fangs elongated but I couldn't control myself and I was faster than her as if I was possessed I grabbed her by the throat and was about to sink my fangs in her neck when a powerful force knocks me down and took her away. I didn't see the person but he is so damn fast, like a flash of lighting. In just a few seconds a bag of blood was held to my face and I hastily collected it without looking at who gave it to me; I drank greedily until I licked every single drop on the bag. I wiped my mouth and looked up at the person that handed me the blood "Hello, Ma Cheri," He smiled displaying his perfectly white teeth.

I stood up instantly recognizing him as Alexander the vampire I met at the birthday party. "What do you want?" I asked reticently.

He smiled as if amused by my aloof manner, "Lack of hunger control I see, a ripper perhaps,"

I crossed my arms on my chest looking at him with a raised brow.

"I'm just here to help," He said lifting up both his hands

"How did you know she needs help?" I questioned skeptically.

He smirked assessing me from head to toe before he answered my question, "I heard her frantic heartbeat and your very loud command, I think the whole castle heard you."

I keep mute frowning even though his answer didn't satiate my curiosity, because all I could think of is the maid I nearly killed, I don't know what will become of me if anyone finds out what happened. As if he sense my inner turmoil and unwillingness to speak he continues, "Don't worry I have compelled her to forget what happened and you have my words no one will know about this." He turned to leave but stopped before he reached the door and look back at me "You know you're quite an intriguing being," he smiled genuinely for the first time looking at me "If you need anything feel free to contact me, my suite is just down the hallway." With that, he saunters casually out of the room acting as if nothing happened, leaving me completely flabbergasted.
