Chapter 4 Don't. Leave me

Chapter four

Today was really hectic for me ,many drama more than I expected I needed to visit my mom in the hospital first then see Lea.well I hate coming to the hospital it gives me this feeling that my mom is not going to leave this place and I hate that feeling.

"Hi doctor hank how is my mom doing anything new "I said trying to act cheerful i hate people pitying me it annoys me.

"Well your mom has been responding well to treatments infact she is conscious now and by Sunday you can come take her home and get ready for her surgery next month"he said closing her file.

"So she can come home with me "I said happily.

"Yes ,when you come on Sunday we will give you her prescription and drugs routine and also watch her well".

"Ok no problem sir".

"Sir ward number one just had a cardiac arrest"a nurse said running in.

"That's your mother i better be going ,please excuse me"he said running out of the office.

I didn't know when I ran out of the office too I saw many equipment been connected to her body and was been given different drips i can't look ran to the reception back i just sat down crying different thoughts just running through my mind .

What if she dies I won't be able to forgive myself for life .

Have been waiting for almost a hour no nurse has come out of the room .

"Ma'am the doctor said you should come to his office now ".the nurse told me

"Please wait is anything wrong with my mother".

"That's for the doctor to tell am sorry "the said leaving

The walk to the office was like walking on an empty road I felt empty I didn't want my mom to die atleast not now she has to give consent to my wedding and also she my Children .she probably has to stay am not letting her die if it means signing that contract.

"Did you know your mom signed a DNR

(DON'T RESCUITATE ORDER)"he said looking at me directly.

"What does that mean "I asked confused.

"Well it means that if she goes into a cardiac arrest we shouldn't rescue her "

"What why would she do that ,this is isane"I said with tears streaming down my eyes

"But one of the nurse didn't know so she is back to normal but next time we won't go against the patient wish understood".

"Wait so you will just leave her to die ,this is absurd why does such thing exist can't it be canceled I can sign"I asked.

"Am afraid no except the patient agrees"

"Ok i will be right back let me get her cancel it"I said rushing back

"Another thing is that don't stress her you know so she don't get another arrest"

"No problem"Bella said leaving the hospital.

"Christabella oh my child you look so thin "my mother said weakly when I entered the ward.

For some odd reason I suddenly remembered Mrs Guman ,people don't normally call me Christabella .When I was in highschool I heard the boy I had a crush on telling his friends that he doesn't like my name so since then i asked my friends to start calling me Bella but my mom didn't agree so that's why she's the only one that can call me Christabella.

"Mom ....I miss you calling me that. "I said bitting my lips to hold my tears

"I see this your habit hasn't still stopped ,don't fight your tears if you don't want your chest to be heavy let it out ."she said

"Mom please don't leave me ...i can-t bear it please just cancel this form "I said crying giving her the form.

"Christabella don't be like this am not leaving you"she said trying to force a smile.

"Mom if are not trying to leave me then prove it by cancelling this"

"Christabella i Want to leave this life without putting any burden on you."

"Mom let's not talk argue about it i came to have fun with my mom so how are the nurses treating you"I said remembering what the doctor said.

I was contemplating whether to tell my mom about Adams but i know she will kick against It,so I just kept it to myself.

After spending some time with mom i left to see Lea its been long i saw her .Lea is like a sister to me we grew up were friends since highschool.

"hey sis ."I said walking into shop

Well she's the owner of this coffee shop ,her parents her business tycoons but she was disowned by them because she doesn't want them to marry her off so that she can take over their business.

"Wassup Bella ,its been ages where have you been ."she said pouting like a child

"Well its been work that's all and stop exagaratting."I said rolling my eyes at her

"Whatever let me get you your coffee"she said going to the coffee machine.

"Yes and you better be fast so that I can leave a good customer review"I said making her to laugh

After closing the shop we went to get bear and some grilled pork.

I was deciding whether to tell her about Adams I don't like keeping things away from her.

After telling her everything she was just looking at me with her mouth wide open.

"Close your mouth or flies might enter"I said using my hand to close her mouth."

"its too much information for my little brain to process."

"I know and its with that dickhead of a boss."I said pouting

"But he's handsome."

"I haven't accepted yet."

"I know that its not easy and you are doing all of this for your mom ,I wish my parents hadn't disowned me i would have given the money to you but you know ."she said sadly

I hate when she thinks about her parents .
