Chapter 5 Shrewd hostages

*Thud*

Henry barges into a room in his mansion, next to the room he abandoned Bianca, his bait.

The hostages jerked out of fright.

Screams echoed in his ear. Henry's furrowed face lit by a warming smile frightened the female child cowered at a corner holding her trembling father.

There was absolute silence immediately after he puts the young girl at gunpoint, the young girl was sweating abundantly as she shoved her hands on her mouth. Her dad pulled her into a hug, covering her red face. They were both seated on the ground, shivering.

"Shush!" Henry let out, vertically pressing a finger on his lips.

"Don't hurt her, I promise she won't scream again!" Her father pleaded with tears in his eyes, he has bruises all over his body and his clothes were torn, he was almost shirtless. He tried to escape several times from Henry's ignominious incarceration, but he failed and ended up being beaten till he starts bleeding.

"I heard you once worked at a big and popular hospital," Henry confirmed as the man nods positively, he fixed his eyes in fear at the gun in Henry's arm.

He sat upright as his face was twitching, he tries to grasp the gun hastily from Henry's hand. Henry was completely unaware when the man grabbed the gun from him. Why isn't Henry prominent with guns? Henry isn't used to guns, he learned to be an Assassinator with cutleries not guns.

The man stood up, chesting out. His hands trembled as he clenched his fist tightly on the gun, pointing it at Henry. Henry froze a wide stance.

"What the fuck! How dare he point a gun at a professional assassin?" Henry muttered to himself, his eyes went dark as he flew into a rage.

Henry raised his arms in the air, showing that he was disarmed. Henry walks on the tip of his toes, moving closer forward to the man with a gun.

"Stay back or I will shoot your fucking head." The man yelled as he muttered so much of his courage, his daughter stood up as she wraps her tiny arms around her father.

Henry sensed the man's fear, he grinned moving forward.

"Why would I be frightened by a gun? I am a man!" Henry dared the already furious man.

"What are you waiting for? Trigger the bullets, daddy." His daughter encouraged him.

The man turned to his daughter. The man doesn't know how to handle guns or even pull the trigger. His daughter's heart pounds as she noticed an odd expression on Henry's face

Henry pulls down his arms as he notices the man's attention was being diverted to his daughter.

"Watch out, daddy!" The young girl tiny voice let out a yell. Henry throws a punch violently with rapid movements at the man's abdomen region.

*push*

"Daddy!" The young girl screams as she sighted her dad falling on the ground with immense pain, he fell flat as blood splashes out of his mouth. The gun drifted away from his arm as he fell carelessly to the ground. The man uttered a sudden loud cry in pain as he placed his hands on his abdomen region.

"Don't hurt my daughter, please." The man coughed out more blood as his daughter ran towards him, wrapping her tiny arms around his weak body. The little girl's heart was in splits, she couldn't control the tears as she tries to help her dad.

Henry pushed the little one off her father, he grabbed the man's collar, pulling him upright as he pushes him out of the room.

"No!, don't take my dad away." The young girl cries as she ran towards them.

Unfortunately, her tiny legs could not take her far, and she fell to the ground, she was so weak that she could only scream as Henry locks the door behind him, she tries to get out of the room but it was impossible, she screamed at the top of her voice but the soundproof room made a fool out of her.

Henry strode to another room dragging the man's collar along, Henry pushes the door away, making the room open. His eyes first met Bianca, he squint his eyebrows as he noticed Bianca's head leaning on the other shoulder.

"W..why?" Henry stammers, pointing at Bianca. He has unclear thoughts about Bianca.

"I've seen cases like this too." The man's voice cracks as he tries to make fake laughter, blood splashes out of his mouth as he placed his hand on his abdomen region.

Henry tossed the man into the room. Henry threw a bag of hospital equipment to him, fixing his gaze on Bianca. He wondered how a lady in a coma was able to raise her head and rest it on the other shoulder.

"Weird!" Henry let out. He lock the door behind, him and asked some of his men to prepare food for the hostages while he goes handled some assignments.

The man clenched his fist on the first aid box, he started coughing louder.

"You almost got caught, young lady." He said with blood streaming out of his mouth.

Bianca's head was raised upright as her legs were slowly placed on the ground, she stood up swiftly with the help of nothing.

"I was so scared," Bianca said as she walked closer to the man whose eyesight changed positions as he was seeing everything in twofold, his head starts spinning and his feet were unable to hold him anymore.

Bianca rushed to him, helping him to have a seat. She hurriedly gave him water. The man gulps the water like he has been thirsty for months.

"Thanks, my dear." The man said in a cool voice, the blood stopped gushing out for a minute. Bianca checked the first box and the medicines Henry offered them earlier. She came across the drug, which description says it helps reduce internal bleeding. Bianca pulls out the required tablets from the sachets, offering them to the bleeding man.

The man rests the back of his head on the wooden chair as he nods his head in refusal at the tablets Bianca offered.

"Have this!" Bianca said pushing the tablets toward his mouth.

"I'm fine! All I need is my daughter." The man uttered. Tears well the poor man's red eyes, and he decided to shut them.

Bianca had a fixed look at the man.

"What are you staring at? I'm also a hostage here just as you are. Just that you are a very important hostage to that man in black." The man said as he coughed out water.
