It was really long, to think that it was a rather complicated story.
"Actually this girl's name is Lucy, I met her early last year, she was very nice to me, too nice. She was always inviting me to her house, giving me gifts, hugging me all the time, sending me messages full of hearts. I don't really remember how I met her, I never saw her at school but she was always waiting for me on my street in the morning and at night. I didn't know much about her but she knew everything about me. I didn't know any of her friends, and I had never told anyone about her, not even my best friend, Mike. I had fallen in love with her, madly in love. I think she was the first girl I ever really fell in love with. I was willing to do anything for her, I was scared of her and attracted to her at the same time. One day, she asked me to meet her in the park. When I arrived, she was there, more beautiful than ever, we spent a wonderful day. Towards the end, while we were lying in the grass, she tackled me to the ground and kissed me. I didn't react, because she was the only girl I had ever loved. The next day I was happy, I even decided to tell Mike everything, but he wasn't there. He came back a few days later, I had never seen him so sad. The weekend arrived and Lucie gave me an appointment at the park, as soon as she saw me, she took me in her arms and kissed me, we hardly spoke that day, I spent all day in her arms. The next day, she asked me to meet her again in the park, but when I arrived, she wasn't there, although she had always been on time. I looked for her in the park and discovered that she was kissing another boy. When she saw me, she smiled, waved and continued kissing him. I was heartbroken. That night I called Mike and told him everything, he explained that night that the same thing had happened to him and that he had seen her kiss me while he loved her. This girl only wanted to make men suffer, probably to get revenge. Since then, I have never wanted to get involved with a girl again. When I met you, I changed my mind, just because she did that to me doesn't mean I shouldn't have friends. I think you're really nice, and I hope that nothing can spoil our friendship."
Her message disturbed me, I really didn't expect it. I thought that tonight I would have a hard time falling asleep, how could a girl do that to him when he was so nice? I decided to call him. We talked for a good two hours on the phone and then I went to bed. He had managed to make me forget about this story and finally I could fall asleep without any problem! My alarm clock went off and I got up to draw my curtains. The weather was gray and the trees were shaking in the wind. I decided to put on a big gray sweater, with jeans, and went downstairs to have breakfast. Today I was on time, or rather a little early, so I hurried to finish getting ready, took a little more time to get dressed, and went out. I decided to wait for Ethan in front of his house, so I took my usual route and at the intersection, I set off to meet him. I waited in front of his house for 5 minutes and then decided to ring the doorbell, praying that it would not be his mother who would open the door. When I saw the door open, I was reassured, it was his older brother Jared who came to open the door. He looked a lot like Ethan: he had black hair, and a longer haircut. His eyes were blue-gray, which gave him all his charm. He was tall and thin, wearing a white T-shirt, a leather jacket and jeans. When he saw me, he stared at me and asked:
- "Uh... What are you doing here?"
- "I'm a friend of Ethan's, I was coming to wait for him so we could make the drive together."
- "I don't think so, Ethan doesn't like girls and doesn't want to have friends." - Surely he knew about the Lucie thing - "Look, I'm still going to call him but stay outside."
I obeyed and waited on the landing. I heard Jared call his brother:
- "And Ethan, there's a girl pretending to be your friend, are you coming down?!!!"
I then heard Ethan run down the stairs and open the door.
His hair was soaked and he was quickly buttoning his shirt.
- Ah Amé, what are you doing here? I'm really late, sorry, you can come in!" then addressing your brother "Jar' be nice to her, she's my friend, ok?
He sighed and made me sit on the sofa. He started talking:
- "You better be nice to my brother, if I ever find out that you hurt him, you're going to get hurt."
- "I know about the Lucy thing, and I would never hurt your brother."
Jared stopped short:
- "Ah, I didn't know you two were really good friends, he never told me about you, he was probably afraid I would forbid him to see you. But you know, I'm just trying to protect him.
- "It works don't worry!"
Ethan came down the stairs with the bag on his back and his hair a little messy.
- I can see that you're getting along well! On the other hand, we'll have to hurry up, we're late, my brother starts at 9, not at 8!
I looked at my watch: 7:50! Ethan took my hand and we ran out of the house. I turned to say goodbye to Jared, who was watching us and laughing. We were running down the street at full speed. Suddenly, my foot slipped and I almost fell to the ground. I had twisted my ankle. He caught me and helped me walk. I said to him:
- "Keep going, it's okay, I'll be late, school life will eventually get used to it."
Ethan replied, annoyed:
- "I'm not going to leave you here when you've hurt yourself, who do you think I am?!"
I continued to walk, with his help
he put my arm on his shoulder. We arrived at the school 15 minutes late, we had to ring the bell to get in. We went to the school life to make sign a ticket of delay. The supervisor laughed when she saw us arrive, me limping and Ethan with a messy hair. She gave us our tardy slip and we came to class out of breath. The teacher let us in without saying anything while Ondine glared at me. We were in math class, so the teacher gave us back our surprise tests from the day before.
