He smiled more revealing a perfectly sized set of teeth that matched the color of his dewy lipstick.
The nose ring he was wearing sharpened his facial features to the extent of having girls adoring him openly.
The way he stood next to Mu Rong made many girls jealous including Yin, it was like he was protecting her from something.
The man (to be known as Bi Lai or Bei Lu) started Showing her the way to go about with the token, it was more like a tiny booklet.
This token was meant to help her buy more things on credit while inside Incase things didn't go as expected.
Whoever saw it would be lenient with her as it was a guarantee of a specific broker dealing with her.
"So, are you going to come in now or later?"
He asked looking delightfully at Mu Rong , who was now fixing her hairstyle.
He was mesmerized by her overall appearance but had his stance on professional conduct.
He displayed rather a gentle affection towards her without showing it deliberately, Yin could see it but Ku Dan thought the man was an idiot.
"Such men can't be taken seriously, look at him." Ku Dan blubbed
But Yin liked him, he acted mature yet childish at the same time.
Yin thought he was so sweet, just like I was thinking.
When Mu Rong was done teasing this guy, she moved her lips up and told him she was now ready to walk in with us.
The dining pavilion was not yet full so there were many chances to enjoy every perk before it got crowded.
Yin and Ku Dan were at a distance watching Mu Rong and Bi Lai continuing with their conversation,
Both seemed to understand one another and it left Yin Wondering if anything of that kind was going to happen with her.
Bi Lai laughed a lot at her jokes, perhaps he was so into her.
Likewise Mu Rong was goofing at his words and at one point they held one another's hands,
That is when a mysterious spark went off in the sky that very many people noticed.
Looking around for a clue but not seeing any,
Bi Lai assured Mu Rong that it must have been a kid who was trying to freak them out.
"Are you sure?" She asked consciously but he was confident in his calculations.
"Alright, it is time for you to get in but I can not walk you there lest I get fired."
Mu Rong waved at Yin and Ku Dan to come closer,
Bi Lai called one of the two women who were standing near the entrance to come and check the girls before they would be allowed to enter inside.
"Sorry my dear but this is our protocol."
He apologized to Mu Rong who told him not to be bothered at all.
"It is for all our good, no need to apologize."
She told him
It was a quick search that lasted less than five minutes and soon Ku Dan and Yin were inside but Mu Rong stuck around wanting to have a final word with Bi Lai,
The security ladies didn't want her there so Bi Lai waved at her to move away from the entrance as he had to continue with his duties,
"We will talk later, Just get in." He assured her
Mu Rong agreed and found a place perfect for all of them to sit.
She ordered for some lunch and together the girls ate something delicious in the pavilion.
Many tables were still empty and the heat of the day was coming down.
The waiters brought about eleven dishes which were medium spiced and placed them on the table accordingly, starters first before the main course.
The likes of chow mein, hui guo rou and Kung Pao chicken enticed Ku Dan a lot.
She served herself first as Yin and Mu Rong often looked at themselves as elders.
Each took their first bite but no one was excited like Ku Dan,
"Wow, this is heaven sent."
The food enticed her more she started scoffing from each platter as the other dining guests looked on,
Probably asking themselves who exactly tamed this spoiled brat with almost zero table manners.
"Such kids will exist even tomorrow, they can not be my in-laws."
They lamented and the comment entered Ku Dan's ear like as if she had just gotten pinched in the neck,
"Excuse me over there."
She grabbed the attention of all the people sitting on that table
"Be good otherwise no one will marry any of you, isn't that why you are here?"
Yin and Mu Rong got bewildered at hearing this from Ku Dan's mouth and wondered if their sister had sipped some alcohol secretly.
"Ahhh Ku Dan, we are for serious business" they reminded her but she sneered at their concern
"Even eating is a serious business."
The men and women on that table rolled their eyes in anger, of course no one in that Pavilion was married, most were single or dating but wanted to try out a new thing.
"Miss, we were not discussing about you. Sorry for the misunderstanding."
They defended themselves
But Ku Dan grinned and took one bite before asking them to keep their thoughts to themselves.
"Don't comment about people you do not know."
She continued to eat and asked her sisters how in the world someone would be concerned over another's plate...
"Hey KD, don't lose your temper."
Yin sympathized while Mu Rong regretted bringing her over.
"She should have stayed at home."
Ku Dan continued to eat liking the taste choosing to ignore the onlookers,
The meat balls were very tender and crispy on the outside with some sweet and sour sauce.
Yin and Mu Rong nibbled more on the vegetable platters, trying to maintain their shape.
But Ku Dan joked
"Who cares whether you are thin or not?"
She picked a pitcher of sweet juice that was in the middle of the table and drank it all.
Feeling very satisfied, she leaned back and started pulling pranks on herself.
Mu Rong looked at her and saw the problem,
"She won't be able to play. It is better if we get her a place to lie down."
Yin agreed, at least an hour was enough to get back to her normal self.
Mu Rong waved for a waiter to come, she flipped her token and put it back in her pocket.
She didn't want to gain attention as most participants were after the very same tokens.
They were not on sale but proved to be of a great deal just Incase you ran short of money.
Ku Dan was moved to a room close to the Diviners chambers where she rested peacefully until when she woke up.
There were a number of games which were free to participate as the diviners were not yet open to divination.
But the girls chose book reading instead and went back to the hall to wait for Ku Dan.
An hour passed and a messenger came to inform everyone inside to prepare themselves.
"Pray for the best and be true to yourself."
He warned them not to play any tricks inside as the diviners were not the fake type.
"It will be your potion of luck for deceiving any of them."
He walked back inside and the MCs of the ceremony started their work.
