"Miss Allianna Gregorio, do you want Mr. and Mrs. Quinter to be your guardian?" the judge asked me, so I was even happier.
"Yes," I answered with a smile.
Finally, my difficult life is over. From now on, my life will change again, and I will be even happier when I meet the children of my parent's friends. I hope they are not like those in jail with bad behavior. I hope they are like the children in the orphanage. 'The type, even if they have problems, they are always happy. Maybe their children are kind and cheerful because their parents are like that.
"Mr. And Mrs. Quinter, do you also accept Miss Allianna Gregorio as your guardian?"
"Yes, your honor." When the judge said my parent's friend would live with me, the couple hugged me.
"Finally, we waited a year for me to get it, and now you can come to us," Mrs. Quinter said while hugging me. So I hugged him back too.
Mrs. Quinter asked if I wanted them to adopt me, but I said I don't want to because I won't change my parents' last name. That's all I have left that they gave me, so I won't let it go.
The couple first spoke to people inside the court to thank them for their help. While I'm here, I'm still sitting in my chair and thinking about what my life will be like in the future.
How will I move into this couple's house? I also don't know how I can replace the kindness they did to me me, but I know that I can repay their kindness. And hopefully, when that day comes, they will still be alive.
"Come on, Allianna. We have to go home. I'm sure you're hungry. I was planning to eat outside, but I remembered that I had cooked food."
"Thank you very much, Mrs. Quinter," I promised with a smile and turned my gaze to his wife. "As well as you, Mr. Quinter. I might still be in the DSWD today if it wasn't for you."
When we left the Hall of Justice, Mrs. Quinter turned to her.
"It's enough to thank us, Allianna. We promised your parents that when they are gone, we will take care of you and not abandon you. You are our responsibility, and we will take care of your needs. All you have to do is finish your studies because your Uncle Benjamin and I know that is your parent's dream for you." Mrs. hugged me again. Quinter and I walked to their car.
I couldn't understand myself because I was always happy and naughty back then, especially my chatter. I miss myself. When will that come back? Maybe when I'm fine. When I forget everything I've been through or when I'm no longer in this world.
It's not a bad thing to change. I changed because that was what was needed. Whoever will change me, I will care for him like my own. I will not disappoint him like the couple who helped me get up again.

Third Person's POV*
"It's annoying!" Demitri shouted in annoyance and threw the book he was holding.
"What is your problem? You can be bored without making noise. If you're going to make noise here, get out," his brother earnestly promised, so Demitri calmed himself down, picking up the book on the floor.
"I just don't understand why I must move into your room. Who is the girl moving into our house? It is crucial to Mom to give her my room." Because Demitri's words were meaningless, Daylon remained silent while studying.
"Couldn't they adopt a girl? But they can make another room. Why will she move to my room? I won't like whoever she is because she took my room. I will be angry with her for the rest of my life." Daylon looked at his brother and shook his head when he saw his angry face.
"I don't care if they adopt. It's just not your style." Demitri frowned and became even more annoyed. He just got 'tsk.' "Be a man, Demitri. Learn to accept things that come your way," he added, so he lay on the bed and read the book he was reading earlier.
Daylon, on the other hand, has returned his attention to his studies. When the room became silent, they suddenly felt the opening of the main door of their house. So Demitri hurried down to meet his parents.
"Mom! Who's th--." Demitri stopped speaking when he saw a woman enter their house. He thought this might be the girl who would sleep in his room. Shouldn't it be young?
"Allianna, meet Demitri. My youngest son." Demitri frowned when the woman approached him while smiling.
"Hello, you're so cute. I'm Allianna, but just call me Allian or sister." The woman was about to hug him when he suddenly walked away.
"Don't hug me, and I'm not cute. I'm handsome. Then I won't call you sister because we are not blood-related." The couple was surprised by their daughter's attitude, but Allian still smiled.
"What are you talking about, Demitri? Apologize to Allian," Mialyn scolded her son.
"Why? It's not necessary, isn't it, Allian?"
"Of course, you don't need to apologize," Allian answered. Mialyn pinched her son's left ear so he couldn't do anything but apologize.
"Sorry," Demitri said weakly and immediately ran into their room.
"I don't like her." He lay down on his bed and covered himself.
"She doesn't force you to like her." Annoyed, Demitri removed the blanket covering him and approached his brother.
"She is not a child, brother. She is the same age as you, about sixteen. And I scolded her earlier, but she was still smiling. She's weird. That girl just got out of jail, so she's crazy."
"You can't tell from a person's face if they are crazy. So don't bother me anymore. Just do what you have to do. Do your thing or study."
"Even if we don't have school, we still study. So I'm already advanced. I don't need to study anymore." Demitri sat in his chair and took the book he was reading from his study table.

Allianna's POV
"Be patient with that child of mine. That's how he behaves, but he's kind when you get to know him well. Just don't mind what he tells you, ahh? The important thing is that you are now with us and doing well here."
"I have no problem with him, Mrs. Quinter. I grew up not caring what people say to me."
"You can call me aunt, Allianna. You can't always call me Mrs. Quinter because you are already at our house. We are your guardians, so get used to it."
"Okay, Aunt. But sometimes I call you Mrs. Quinter because I'm not used to it yet. Then it's embarrassing for you."
"You need to get used to it. Then it's just Uncle to my husband. You are our family here, Allianna. So don't be ashamed of us."
"I'll try."
"You sit in the living room first because I'm just going to fix what I cooked earlier so you can eat dinner." I sat on the sofa and looked around.
Their house is beautiful. The living room and the dining area are spacious. Everything is also clean, and you won't see any dust. It was like our home, always clean and cozy.
I'm not with my uncle now because he went to their room. He said that there was something that he needed to fix.
Will I be fine in this house? Where is their eldest son?
I stood up and looked at the picture frames. Those pictures are their pictures from when they were babies until now. I can see how happy they are.
I stopped when I saw the picture of my parents with Tita. They are still kids here, and the one picture frame is from when they were in high school.
I took a picture and touched my parent's faces. My mother's beauty is still evident. Maybe those people will be happy when they see their friends.
"You've seen that picture." I looked at Aunt, and she came to me. "Your parents are our only true friends because others have not been true to us. That's why we've been looking for them for a long time. I didn't know that they would end up together."
"What happened?"
"As far as I know, Lia will study in America, and Crisanto will go to Manila for college. Your Uncle and I are the only ones left here. Since then, we don't talk anymore and have no connection with each other. That's why I was so hurt when I found out they were gone, but I'm happy because you're alive. I'm lucky they made you in this world because you are the memory they left us."
"Thank you for looking for me. You did everything to get me and get me out of that prison. I'm terrified because I don't know what will happen in my life."
"We're here, Allianna. Nothing will happen to you, and we will return the things that belong to you. We will fight for that." I didn't feel my tears fall. All I felt was that Aunt wiped it with her thumb. "Let's not cry here because that is in the past. Let's eat dinner first, and I have more photos to show you."
Chapter 5
"Good morning, Allian," greeted Mrs. Quinter when I got to the dining area of their house.
"Good morning, Mrs. Quinter," I greeted back. I approached her and held a plate full of pancakes. "I'll help you. I don't want to see you tired," I said again, placing the container on the table.
"Allian, didn't I tell you to call me Aunt?" I just smiled at Aunt and scratched my head.
It isn't very comfortable. I don't know what to do here because I'm not close to them and have just met them.
"Just sit there, Allian. I'll take care of your drink because you have school today." I looked at Tita in shock.
"What?"
"Yes, I decided to enroll you in Daylon's school because you two are the same age, right?" I was about to speak when their youngest son, Demetri, suddenly said.
"Why are you going to enroll her, Mom? Maybe she doesn't know the multiplication table." Because of her son's annoyance, she hit him on the shoulder.
"What are you saying? When did I teach you to be rude, ahh? Don't joke about that, Demetri. I might beat you here in no time," Aunt said, but Demitri got annoyed and looked at me. I smiled because Demetri didn't say anything to me. "Be patient with my son, Allian. That's the way it is. It's just that he's not used to having another woman in the house," Aunt added and helped me sit in front of Demetri.
"It's fine, Aunt. I understand." Aunt just smiled at me and went to the kitchen.
I looked at Demetri and bit my lip because he looked at me badly.
"Stupid," he said softly and started eating the pancake.
I, on the other hand, snorted. I don't know why this man is mad at me. I didn't do anything terrible to him.
Because I need to be more intelligent, yes, I admit it. The Lord did not bless me with a brain. But I believe that there is no one stupid on this planet. That's why I don't understand what the boy is saying.
He is only eleven years old, but if he can talk and act like eighteen.
"Morning." Everyone looked when Daylon suddenly appeared in the dining area and sat beside Demetri.
"Brother, can you teach me about my project later? Sir told us we need help," Demetri said happily. Daylon looked at his brother without emotion.
"Aren't you smart? Why can't you do a simple project?" I frowned because of Daylon's answer.
Is this man like this? That's why my hunch is terrible.
Demetri just nodded and ate.
"Stupid." I looked at Daylon and saw him looking at me. I swallowed and pointed at myself.
"Me?" Daylon shook his head as he read the book he always held.
I just held my breath because I was so bored. How can I talk sensibly with these brothers? Then who do they inherit from?
Aunt and Uncle are happy and kind. These two may be adopted. Because their faces are far away from their father's, and their mother's face is very close. Their father may be different.
I just shook my head and followed them to eat.
"Put down your book first, Daylon. We're in front of the dining table," Aunt said, annoyed, and put our drinks down on us. Sit down next to me.
"I'm studying, Mom." Aunt just ignored her son and ate too.
"Eat and eat, Allian. So you don't gain weight."
"She's young enough to take care of, Mom. So don't baby her." Aunt and I both looked at Demetri because he suddenly started talking.
"You're too much, what? Now, what if I babysit Allian? Just eat your food so you can leave."
What family did I join? Am I still in the Philippines? Or I'm on another planet?
Why is this family so different? Shouldn't Aunt be strict with them? He should spank his children's asses, so they don't behave like that. These men are too spoiled.
"I'm done." Daylon suddenly stood up and went up to his room.
"Get ready, Allian, so you and Daylon can attend school together. I know you need to find out where it is. So you might get lost."
"Is that all right?"
"Yes, Daylon is serious and quiet, but he's kind. Just don't understand what he's saying."
"Are you sure?" Aunt suddenly laughed so loudly that I laughed too, but it was fake. I don't know why she laughed. I just followed her.
"I know my children, Allian. I raised them well. It's just not obvious because they don't show their kindness." I just smiled and went.
"You guys look like idiots. Thank you for the food." Demetri got up and went to his brother's room.
"I'll help you clean up, Aunt." When I got up, I was about to eat the dishes when Aunt suddenly stopped me.
"I'll take care of it, Allian. You might be late for your first class. That's more important. Then don't worry. I do it every day, so it's fine with me."
"No, Aunt. I'll help you even if you don't want to. I'm embarrassed. I already ate, and then you'll do the washing up. Let me help you. It's also for my thanks to you and Uncle because you embraced me." Aunt smiled and held my hand.
"Your parents are happy now because they raised you well." I also smiled at her while taking the plates on the table.
"I'll just hurry up, Aunt. So I won't be late."
"Daylon can fix things quickly. So you might not be able to catch up with him."
"There's no problem, Tita. I'll dress up quickly."
"It's up to you, Allian."
After helping Aunt wash, I got ready to catch up with Daylon.
When I finished showering, I took the towel that was hanging on the side and wrapped it around my body. I also took one for my hair.
"Shems," I said weakly when I remembered I hadn't prepared what I would wear today.
It's my first day. It may be okay if I'm not in uniform. I'll ask Aunt later, so I don't get called to the principal's office.
When I opened the door, Daylon faced me. He looked into my eyes and later moved his eyes down my body.
I can't speak because I don't know what to say. I couldn't even move because I was too embarrassed.
Daylon saw me just in a towel. I'm sure he can see my armpit hair.
"Move." When we looked at each other, that's when I knew how beautiful her eyes were. Even though his eyes show no emotion, it adds to his coolness.
It's not cool. I admit that he was blessed with good looks, but only slightly.
"Stupid." Because of his weak promise, I came to my senses.
Suddenly, my heart beat faster and more robust when he grabbed me by my shoulders. I also saw his face coming closer to mine.
Is this the loss of my first kiss? Will my mouth not be a virgin?
Daylon's face was getting closer and closer, so I closed my eyes.
This is the day I will be kissed on the lips. I didn't expect it. I didn't even know that Daylon would be the one before me.
"I said move, stupid." I opened my eyes and saw Daylon looking at me without emotion.
He pushed me to the side and entered the bathroom. The door was slammed shut at the same time, which surprised me.
What was I thinking earlier? I feel like a fool. I thought he was going to kiss me. Then he suddenly said no.
I'm so ashamed of myself. I hit my head repeatedly.
"I won't be surprised if you don't have a boyfriend. You look like a fool right now. You're foolish. You're stupid. You're not smart. You're crazy. Good luck in the school you didn't grow up in." I looked at Demetri with a scary look. He just stared at me and entered his brother's room.
The two are brothers. No difference.
I'm going to take care of these two.
