Chapter 5 Five

"Shit"

He stop walking and wait for Abby to walk past before continuing his walk to the cafeteria which he has been avoiding since a week ago in other not to walk into her.

They usually eat together because he hates eating alone, since he started avoiding Abby he has not being able to eat at the cafeteria.

But today, the guys get sent to the principal's office for being rude in class and he has no one to hang out with during lunch, feeling quite hungry he decide to go eat.

Hux decide to turn back and go to eat bread and cider for lunch rather than go into the cafeteria and eat alone.

He try to find a place to eat but everywhere seen to be occupied with people and the only place left is the hangout joint with the guys.

Abby look at the money in her hands and put the coins back into her pocket. Her Mom have forgotten to leave money on the table again and she only has very little from her savings.

She had been spending money out of her own pocket and only get to eat something good after her Mom comes back from work.

Abby never have problem buying Lunch even when she does not have much, Hux always buy food for her.

"You don't have money to eat today again?"

Abby turn back to see Claudia standing behind her. She ignore her and put her purse away.

"I'll buy you lunch then, let's go"

"I'm not hungry" Abby said and open a book pretending to want to read.

"It's an apology, I really want to"

"I don't want to" Abby insisted getting irritated at using her strength for arguing rather than the rest of her classes today.

"Come on I just don't want things to continue being awkward between us, we are in the same class"

Abby sigh finding her really annoying wondering why she did it if she cared about them being in the same class.

"Or...are you not over Larry yet?" She asked and Abby give her a look, she give a wry smile and decide to go with her.

She's hungry anyway and she's offering to buy, she can endure seeing her annoying face for fifteen minutes.

Abby pretend not to see Hux when she saw him on the way, she really can't stand that he's not speaking with her anymore and avoiding her like a plague.

She can't believe just a ses would ruin their friendship this much, she should have never told him about her crush for him that night and should have not kissed him.

If she did not do all that, then they would still be very good friends. Not avoiding each other and suffering like this.

She know he has not been coming to the cafeteria because he cannot eat alone. She want to go to him and ask to eat together but ignore it like she has been trying to.

Abby follow behind Claudia with the plate of delicious looking meal and felt glad she did not miss today's lunch menu.

She was so engrossed in her plate that she did not notice the person on the table until she drop her food to sit

"Abby?"

She should have known they would be eating together since they are couples now, how could she not think of that?

"I will go eat at another table" she said not wanting to get stared at.

"Are you leaving already? We asked Claudia to invite you here so we can eat lunch together"

Abby stare at the four mean girls, Mariam, Esme, Alivia, Naomi and her heart give a hard thump, why would they want to eat with her? They were all Hux's flings.

"Sit down Abby" they drag her this sit and she struggle not to fall the plate in her hand.

Abby try to eat but the girls are all staring at her without saying anything. She drop her spoon and wait for them to state what they want with her.

"Why aren't you eating with Hux? You always eat together" Mariam one of the girls asked crossing her hand on the table.

"Did something happen between you and Hux?"

"By chance...are you no longer friends with him?"

"Why should I answer you?" Abby reply looking from one person to the others.

Turns out they just want to find out why she has not being hanging out with Hux these days, they only talk to her when Hux is involved.

"It's just that these days, you two don't talk to each other. He hangs out with the guys and avoid you"

"Has he finally realize what burden you are and decided not to be friends anymore?"

"Please mind your business...and if you are curious, go ask Hux" she said and getting up forfeiting the food.

Mariam scoff and push her hair back looking rile up, she stand up and her maniacs did the same.

"You must think you are all that because Hux calls someone like you his best friend"

"You are just a poor skank who dear Hux took in for a little while and I guess he's done with you now"

Abby clench her fists in anger, throwing a punch on her face is something she really want to do but she's outnumbered and will only get humiliated.

She let go of the plate for them.to take it back and run off to spend the rest of the break in the Janitor's closet.
