Chapter 5: Away From Home

Stella and the strange lady journeyed for hours, and finally they got to the park. The journey seemed really long to Stella, she was grateful it finally ended.

The woman boarded a taxi that will take them to the house. The cab drove for some minutes, before stopping at a place. This journey was far shorter than the first.

The cab stopped at a gigantic gate, and Stella got down immediately staring at the gate in amazement.

"Wow, what a sight," she thought within herself.

"John, come open up the gate" the woman yelled and a short chubby man quickly came and opened the gate.

Stella stared in awe as they both walked in. Stella was practically pushing herself to walk. Jeez!

"What a magnificent structure" she thought aloud as she stared at the mansion. Stella stood there as her legs couldn't carry her anymore. She thought this structures only existed in television programmes. Stella never thought it was real. And seeing it with her eyes, she felt she was in another planet.

"Aren't you gonna hurry up" the woman half yelled jolting her out of her thoughts.

Why is she so grumpy? She hurriedly followed the woman behind, and when she got inside, she could barely breathe or even move. This place is really magnificent, it's just like a royal palace.

The cool air the air conditioner produced was so tender to her skin. She was gonna die of hallucination. "Someone should wake me up, coz this is a dream, this is not real." She screamed mentally.

Not too long, as Stella was still admiring the beauty of the house, a young handsome man walked out and joined them in the sitting room. He was not too tall, but he wasn't short at all. His skin was very light and tender to the eyes, her skin looked unkept compared to his, his skin was glowing. He was indeed a hairy human being, he was also huge and had muscles all over. From his neck down to his legs were perfect.

His face....Stella stoped admiring the house as she began gawking at him. All her life she has never someone as handsome as this fellow. She exaggerated.

He has a set of bulging eyes just like Dorris's, it made him look sexy anyway adding a unique look to his face. He had a pointed nose, and a pink and very smallish lips, just like that of a baby. She could swear he had applied something on his lips. He had small ears which he had pierced, and he was putting on a little shinny silver earring on one of them. He has a really long hair, almost like that of a lady. All this features added in making his look breathtaking.

Her mum had told her that any guy with a pierced ear was not a good person, but it made him look more perfect. God!! such handsomeness.

"The lady Isn't looking that bad" Nelson thought as he studied her.

When his mum told him she was getting someone from the village, he wasn't expecting this at all. She was beautiful anyway.

"She isn't looking bad at all, she's okay" he whispered to his mum and she nodded stealing glances at Stella.

They were talking in whispers, but Stella was hearing everything. It made her feel a little bit confident about her looks. Thank goodness they were not criticizing her.

She was still staring at the sitting room, oblivious of the fact that he was talking to her.

"Hey, are you okay?" He reached out and tapped her when she was not responding to his calls. She quickly jolted and turned around to look at him. Their eyes met, and her gaze settled right in his eye balls. Just then, she realized that all she saw before was nothing compared to his close view.

And then she remembered she was asked a question,because he revived her with a small smack on the hand.

"I just asked if you were okay,.......Are you?" He furrowed his brows, looking at her in a funny way.

"Yes.......yes, I am perf.....perfectly okay." She stuttered. She felt like she was being pressurized to talk.

"Are you sure?......coz I called out to you severally" he asked calmly. And she nodded.

"I am fine sir" she said again.

"Okay, I hope you know what you're here for?" He asked and she nodded again.

"Good" he hummed. "So, what's your name? He inquired gently.

"It's Stella sir." She responded quickly, before he was going to conclude that she's clumsy and dull for answering questions slowly. Coz she's displayed enough foolishness for one day.

"Hmm, nice name," he let out a small smile.

"Thank you sir" she mouthed.

Just then, she noticed they were alone, the plump woman has gone inside leaving only both of them in the sitting room.

"So, I will show you to your room, so you can freshen up and come down. Then I will show you round the house and tell you how your job works. Is that okay?" He stated calmly and Stella nodded in agreement.

"So come let me show you to your room, come on" he spoke softly as he waved his hands urging Stella to come with him, coz she looked as tho she was scared to come with him or something.

"Okay sir" Stella muttered as she started following him slowly.

She wondered if this is the man she's gonna be working for. If it is so, then the man is so nice and calm, he looks like an easy going person.

She was somehow scared of following him at first, but she was beginning to fell relaxed now. The man seems like a really good fellow, she hopes it's not too good to be true.

She sighed, and looked up at him, he's gone ahead of her so well. And then, she counted her steps in the stair case, as she gently and quietly followed him.
