Chapter 5 You Can't Hide My Children From Me Forever

Lily had blocked Drake Bell's line for so many years but now, he had to unblock him so she can ask if he was the one who sent those who went to pick up her kids. She couldn't think of anyone who would have suddenly taken her children and claimed them as his other than Drake Bell. But last she remembered, she never told Drake Bell that she had babies. How could he possibly find out she has babies?

She would have called the cops but it was better to confirm if Drake Bell was the one behind this or not. After unblocking Drake Bell's contact, she placed a call across to him.

After it rang for a few seconds, the call got answered. She calmed her anxious self and breathed in deeply, "hi." She greeted as if everything is calm.

"You must be calling about the kids, right? They are with me, in my house." Then he hung the call up.

Lily gritted her teeth in anger, clenching her fist hard on the steering. She started the ignition of the car, reversed roughly and drove straight to Drake Bell's villa.

About ten minutes later, she pulled over before Drake Bell's villa. The guards at the main entrance didn't bother to stop her car from entering the compound of the house. She assumed that Drake Bell might have been given them instruction ahead of her arrival.

On stepping down from her car, she looked sorrowfully at the house. This house... She had determined not to ever step her foot here again. She left this house brokenheartedly many years ago.

She soon began to walk inside the house. If it was someone else who took her children without permission, she would have reported to the cops. But reporting Drake Bell to the cops is useless. He's too powerful to be moved by cops. Even the chief of police cowers before him.

She soon got before the door that leads to the mainroom, she opened it and stepped in, walking inside, she sighted a majestic figure sit comfortably on the chair. He was dressed in a wine suit and had a newspaper in his hand.

It didn't take much effort for her to recognize that this majestic figure seated was Drake Bell.

She walked forward and stood right before him, "Drake, why would you just hijack my kids without my permission?"

"The doctor already took samples of my hair and that of the kids, he would be here soon with the paternity test result. If the kids turns out not to be mine, I'll apologize and let you take them away," Drake Bell dropped the newspaper in his hand and spoke.

"I thought I told you clearly that I eventually aborted the the pregnancy then," Lily said. "Why would you think my children are yours?"

"You could be lying. The children should be around five years old and you were pregnant for me six years ago, the dots are easy to connect. Moreso, anyone with eyes will see a clear resemblance between the kids and I." He said.

"My kids aren't yours. And please stay away from them. It's enough that you made my life a living hell while I was married to you, I don't want to have anything to do with you again." Lily said and added, "bring me my kids."

Her heart was already beating heavily, if the doctor eventually appear with the paternity test result that proves he's their father, won't he collect the kids forcefully from her? Although she was not lacking financially, she's still not half as powerful as Drake Bell.

"I'll let you see the kids after the doctor has presented the paternity test result to me. Be patient," Drake Bell said casually, "Moreso, since you claim I'm not their father, who is their father then?"

Lily became dumbfounded. She wasn't prepared for such question. "You have no business knowing whom their father is. You are wrong by taking my kids without my permission. Please bring me my kids, I need to leave this godforsaken place."

"No." Drake Bell checked his wrist watch and said, "the doctor will be here soon. You shouldn't be worried since you claim the kids are not mine. It's just right for me to perform a test on the kids to be sure."

Lily was frustrated, she left his presence and walk speedily inside the master bedroom but didn't see anyone in there, she began to search every room in the building hoping to see her kids in one.

On checking the last room in the house, her heart ripped on not seeing her kids there. "Where could this bastard keep my kids?" She mumbled angrily.

She stormed back to the living room where he was, "I already searched the entire room and can't find my kids. Where did you keep them? Are they even here?" Her voice was loud and full of rage. She was literally going crazy for not seeing her kids.

A knock was suddenly heard on the door and then Drake Bell spoke, "come in."

The door opened and the Doctor appeared with an envelope, he greeted Drake Bell respectfully, walked over to him and handed over the paternity test result to him.

Seeing this, Lily's heart began to beat heavily. It was as if she will stop breathing. Cold sweats formed immediately on her forehead.

"You may leave," Drake Bell said to the doctor and he dissapeared from the room immediately. Drake Bell looked at Lily who was tensed from head to toe.

He then set his gaze back on the paternity test result in his hand and opened it gently, seeing that he had a ninety nine percent probability of being the kid's father, a relieved sigh escaped his nostrils He placed the paternity test result by his side and looked at her, "the beautiful twin are my kids afterall."

"You can't hide my children from me forever. In one way or the other, fate will make the kids and I collide." He said.

Lily looked away regretfully. Why in the world did she have to come back to New York? She could have just stayed in the city she was and continue living her single mom life. She was happy there taking care of her kids but with this man barging into her life again, it may look like her entire life was about to take a new twist.
