Chapter 4 Welcome Party

Jai pov

Saturday came a little too early. The sunlight peeked through the shaded blue sheer curtains. I yawned and stretched my arms to awaken. My eyes widened in horror as I looked to my side. Immediately I got up and pulled off my t-shirt. I ran to the door and turned my head right and left to find someone.

All of a sudden, I heard roars of laughter coming from my parent's room. I felt a tuck on my pants and as I bowed I found my daughter, pulling my pants to gain attention. I Picked her up. She hugged me tightly and peppered my face with kisses. I picked and twirled her.

"Princess where were you? Did you know you frightened your dada.?" I kissed her forehead and walked to my parent's room from where the voices were coming. As soon as I entered, I felt a pair of hands covering my eyes.

" Rashi, when will you leave these silly tactics and grow up?" Although I was showing that I was angry, I enjoy this childish side of my sister. Hearing her brother's grumbling, Rashi roared into fits of laughter. Rahul, my twin, came and bent to touch my feet to seek my blessing.

"Rahul, how are you?" I pulled his brother in a brotherly hug. Kavya pinched my brother's cheek to gain his attention. Rahul took her from me.

" I'm fine big bro. How are you? Are you enjoying life or are you the same old boring person? Did you find a mom for my princess?" He twirled Kavya who in turn was enjoying the attention she was getting. He said the last part in a whisper.

. I glared at him. He knows this topic is sensitive to me. I went and sat next to my mother who caressed my cheeks lovingly.

"Da..da milk. Princess hungry." She came to me and hid her head on my shoulder. Ma got up and prepared her bottle and gave it to her to drink.

" A welcome party is organized for you both wherein I will introduce you to the business world. It is the first time that I will introduce you both. Better be impressive. " Out of nowhere dad announced. He then got up to get ready and we all came out except ma.

" Bhai, is it necessary for us to attend the boring business party?" Raghav whined at me. They didn't want to attend the party and were unable to disregard their father's wish. They were trying to coax me but this time they couldn't accomplish what they wanted as I was adamant that I won't persuade dad.

In the afternoon, I went to inspect the west wing of the palace, where the party was being held. The venue was decorated with beautiful flowers. There were pots at the entrance from which strings of marigolds were falling, which were then decorated in spirals. The entry gate was made with red and white roses from which hung spirals of marigold with strings of jasmine below the spirals. Then there were pop-ups made with marigolds adorning the walls. The rails of the staircase were decorated with roses. Round tables with cream color placement were kept. The chairs had the same color of cloth with our hotel's emblem on them. The tables had a card withholding the persons to be seated on it. After giving some instructions to the staff, I called off and went away.

The palace was looking like a bride adorned in its beauty. The entrance was lit with fairy lights. The scent of roses was lingering in the atmosphere.

Dressed in a cobalt blue color blazer paired with blue chinos and a crisp white shirt, I got ready.

Rahul on the other hand wore black jeans and a blue blazer paired with a light blue button-down shirt. Rashi was looking gorgeous in her black and gold top with a black skirt and golden ethnic jacket. I was awed by my siblings. They were the best.

I had reached the venue beforehand to welcome the guests. I was talking to one of his business associates when I felt a tug on my shoulders.

"Da..da. Cee's new dress. Nice na." Kavya wiggled in her grandmother's arms and spread her arms towards me to take her from ma.

" My beautiful princess." I swirled my daughter in the air. Her giggles and laughs cheered the atmosphere around her.

" Mr. Rathore, you have a beautiful daughter. I never knew you were married and have a daughter. You look quite young."

"Thanks, Mr. Agarwal for your compliment. Will you please excuse me? Doll, come let us see where your chachu and bua are?" l lifted my daughter and climbed the stairs to meet my siblings.

Third person pov

All eyes turned to the stairs from where two handsome brothers with their beautiful sister in between them. Each arm was linked with each brother's arm. Kavya was in Jai's other arm. Their father gestured for them to come to the podium. Jai handed his daughter to his mother and joined his siblings. His father took hold of the mic.

Yash Pov

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen. To start with, I want to thank each and every person for their gracious presence today. As you all know prince Jaivardhan is my elder son, and the prince of Ajmer, is already helping me. Today I would like you to meet my younger children Rahul and his twin sister Rashi."

Both of them came forward and the hall was filled with claps and cheers. Yashvardhan continued after the clapping had died.

"There is one more reason for this party. I'm getting old and now I want to spend my time with my beautiful wife and my cute little granddaughter. " He chuckled and continued," I'm handing my responsibility to my children. I will remain the chairman and guide my children. Please welcome the new CEO of the Rathore group of hotels Mr. Jaivardhan Rathore." The hallway filled with loud claps. Jai came forward and touched his father's feet who in turn hugged him.

" I will take a few more minutes after which you can enjoy the party. I want you all to meet my younger son Rahul, who will assist the accounts department as he wants to start from scratch. My daughter Rashi will be looking after the tour and travel sector of our company. I hope you will support them as you all have supported me. Thank you once again. Enjoy.

Jai started receiving wishes and congrats from everyone present there. He was enjoying his newfound title with his daughter in his arms when he spotted a familiar silhouette. He tapped on the shoulder and was surprised to see the person.
