Chapter 5 Ex Boyfriend

"You look delicious... Maybe I can taste you for a moment." He said this stupidly while holding my hair.

I averted my face from him. I am crying because of fear. Especially when it smells like my hair. I couldn't scream because I could clearly see the knife he was holding and pointed at me. I might scream, he suddenly thrust it at me.

I closed my eyes in fear, just a few moments later I heard a rustling behind me. At the same time as the man in front of me kicked out. I woke up and that's when I saw the man who had groped me flinch. It turned out to be kicked in the face by a man who suddenly appeared in that place. The snatcher's nose was bleeding, before he could get up he quickly hit him with another kick so that the knife he was holding flew out.

A man whose face I couldn't make out because he was wearing a hat, a black jacket and pants. He kept kicking and punching the man until he lost consciousness. After the man lost consciousness, he walked away without saying a word. I was going to chase it so that I could thank you because I couldn't speak because of my fear of the snatcher.

That was the first time I saw the man who helped me that I didn't even know. When Madam found out, Sean was scolded by Gov. Sean is prohibited from using the car and the internet or any gadget that he can use to contact friends. Sean wasn't mad at me, but he apologized to me.

I always thought about the man who helped me. I always dream about him but I can't see his face. I told that to Mama and Ate Eva, but Ate Eva was just deceiving me that she might be my guardian angel.

A few months ago I wanted to say goodbye to Madam that I will start applying to other companies that I know I can use what I studied, but I failed. It did not allow me to resign from the job first because Sean was about to start working with Gov. He said he needs me more because there is no one else who will be his son's assistant and supporter. Madam said she likes me more because she says I'm used to it and can trust me in everything. So Madam asked me to stay until she found someone to replace me as an assistant. I stayed at work because of my debt to Madam.The polls will start in just a few months. Sean doesn't do anything, because he's so proud of himself that he's going to win. One morning while Sean was having breakfast, Gov came from the city hall angrily.

"What are you doing here, Sean? You are not doing anything to win the upcoming polls. Don't you know your name is sideways on the list?!" here.

I was peeking not far away, I was about to get close to Sean to ask him if we could go for a walk, but I just saw Gov with his nose puffing up.

"What do you mean, Dad? Can anyone beat us who have been tested? What that person is doing is useless, because I know that I will win."

"Tsk! You still haven't changed, Sean. You are too comfortable with yourself. You don't know that out of 10, you are only 1 point. Don't you know that your enemy is there in Baranggay San Juan, he has taken all the people there. While you are just here at home and wasting time."

"People are like that, Dad. Whoever is in front of them, that's all they open their mouths. But in the polls, those in their hearts will still win. And that's mine, Dad." Sean said something proud to his father.

"You're wrong, Sean. You are wrong in what you think, because people are not stupid enough to choose you. Just because they don't know my last name, they will know you too. They don't see you because you don't visit them. Why don't you imitate him, take people's heart. Show them you deserve it. You're not just here at home and you just went out when you thought about it! If you lose the polls, I might disown you as a son. It's a big shame for this family that I've cared for for so long and then in an instant you just destroy it! Fix it, Sean!" Gov angrily left in front of Sean. So it seems to have lost its appetite.

Only then did I approach Sean. It's still a bit of a bad mood, the eyebrows meet as they stare into the distance.

"Who is that animal! The name is too fragrant!" I heard him say it to himself.

"Are you alright sir? Are we going somewhere now?" I ask here. It looked at me and drank water angrily. After drinking he stood up and spoke.

"Yes. We will go where that animal is," he promised me.

Sean's words made me a little nervous. It doesn't seem like it will fight fairly because it will do something bad. I did nothing but go with him.

While in the car, I reminded Sean again. But it doesn't seem to listen to me."It doesn't seem good for us to go here, why don't we just go to another place and ask questions about how we can give them help..."

We are now in the area where Sean's opponent is.

"I want to see what that animal is doing here. And how does he win people's hearts," he told me while staring at the distance.

There are many people there, but I don't know why there are many people. I thought of going down to find out what was going on.

I approached the people who were gathering not far away.

"Sister, what's there?" I will ask.

"There's a free check up, that's Mister J's help."

Mister J is the name of Sean's opponent.

"Oh is that so, is he there?"

"Nope, only those who checked-up are there."

"Oh okay, thank you sister..."

If so this is why he gets people. He provides free check ups.

I went back to the car and told Sean what I found out. So Sean thought of something good to do.

That day we went to Sean's friend to ask for help. Sean will provide free glasses to elderly people with blurred vision.

We went to Barangay San Fernando, just next to San Juan barangay. Sean talked to the barangay chief and he was allowed to use the barangay hall for what he thought was an appeal to the people. But only a few people went, others said that there were only a few old people in their village so only a few people went. Sean was very annoyed that day. For the first time he loses the contest.

In the second week, we heard that Mister J is said to be in the other village. It is said to give out milk for babies. So Sean thought of giving away diapers. Many people were happy with what Sean did. And its head grows bigger every time it hears admiration.

"He must have been thinking about it when he did it because I beat him to my diaper." Sean said laughing. I shook my head at him, he thought so superficially.

"Maybe you shouldn't compete with him. You must do things that are not put through the competition," I promised Sean.

"You're wrong, Aira. The reason why he ran was to fight me. So who is that person? Have you found out who he is?"

"No, I don't have a background check on him yet. But I'll find out later." Sean nodded at me.
