Chapter 10 The Kids Needs Father

The room instantly fell into silence.

Ariella looked at her daughter incredulously, "Mia, what did you say, say it again?"

Was it her hallucination? Her daughter talked.

She hadn't been waiting for this moment over the years. Did God finally hear her prayers?

"Mommy, it's the kind-hearted man that made Mia talk."

Jasper put in good words for Ivan again. He should make his mommy feel good about the kind-hearted man and then create opportunities for them to date.

"Jasper, is it true?"

Ariella looked at her daughter in amazement and found it hard to believe.

Jasper looked at his mother sincerely and nodded heavily, "You can ask Mia."

Ariella kissed her daughter on the forehead, "Mia, can you call mommy?"

For so many years, Mia just called her once, and she had been looking forward to this moment.

"Mamma."

She babbled in a milky voice. Though her voice was not clear, Ariella could make it out.

She almost wept for joy and kissed her daughter repeatedly. This day finally came.

Gracie thought of the excellent man and spoke with admiration, "Ariella, that man was riding a Bentley car limited edition, and the air about him was imposing. He must be a great man."

"No way." Ariella just found it unbelievable.

Jasper cut in, "He is handsome and nice."

Mia echoed in a milky voice, "Papa, handsome."

Ariella's hand stiffened in the air. Did she miss anything? She looked at her daughter in shock, "Who is handsome?"

"Papa."

The little girl blew a bubble happily at the thought of her 'papa.'

Ariella was baffled. When did her daughter have a father? Jasper, care to explain?

Jasper seriously unfolded the whole story. Why did his sister call the kind-hearted man papa? How did the other kids at school laugh at them because they didn't have a father?

"Are you hurt? Let me take a look."

Ariella's heart broke when she heard about bullying. The kids were her world, and she rarely scolded them.

"Mommy, the kind-hearted man drove the bad people away. We're fine."

Ariella's eyes turned red as she felt guilty for their suffering at school.

Other children had both parents while they only had one.

Gracie whispered, "Will you consider a new boyfriend? The kids need a father."

It was tough for a woman to take care of two children.
