Chapter 4 Second chance

I could not shake this feeling no matter how hard I tried. So, I crept to the window and gently pulled the curtain just a little to see if someone was there. I spotted three of the most gorgeous men talking right outside my door. There was a bit of panic rising in me because there is only one exit. I feared Declan had sent someone to track me down.

I quickly backed away from the door and window when I suddenly heard someone knock on the door. Hoping it was just someone from the hotel at the door, I opened the door cautiously. I was shocked to see that it was one of the gorgeous men.

Before I could get the door all the way open, Lily yelling "mate" startled me. Confused by what she said, they had just rejected their mate. Lily huffed because I did not understand that the Moon Goddess has given me a second chance at happiness. I took a deep breath while processing what she had just told me, when Lily caught the most wonderful smell. The smell of honeysuckle and fresh wildflowers. I was as shocked as he was.

I was taken aback when one of the gorgeous men lunge at me, which startled me. But he was not attacking, as he grabbed me into a bone crushing hug. He pulled me to arm's length with the biggest smile on his face. He looked just like a kid on Christmas. He pulled me back in for another hug. This time he spun us around as the other two men looked at him like he had done lost his mind.

Once he finally put me down, I went to start asking him questions. But he beat me to it. "What is your name beautiful?" He asked her while holding my hand. "Kasara" I replied. "Where are you from?" "Dark Forest pack and please don't send me back!" I plead with him as tears started to build in her eyes threatening for the dam to break. He replied "why would I send you anywhere that I am not? What did they do to you baby?" I just shook my head not wanting to say for fear of what he would do if he knew how bad my life had been.
