"I'm going to sleep, will you let me drink some more of that?" in my annoyance I was about to close the door but he stopped me.
"Oppps... just wait. Even just a little, please..." he begged me.
"I don't want to! You might do something to me when I'm drunk!" I was about to close the door again but it stopped me again.
"I won't do anything, promise! You might be the one to do something to me," Lance said foolishly. But I made him suffer.
"What do you expect! I'll solve your grandfather's problem!" he said as if Lance was annoyed.
"Come on please... don't you want us to be okay grandma?" he said making it even cuter.
Looks like this one has another plan ah! I will give it to him but I will be careful. I let him enter the room and I sat on the sofa. It followed and handed me a beer. I don't drink, but I will try.
I put my foot up to make myself comfortable, before tasting the beer. At first I felt like I was going to throw up, I winced. But that was only for a moment. I saw Lance smile.
"Don't tell me you just tasted that?" said Lance to me
Instead of responding I just tormented him.
Later I noticed that Lance was watching me. He looked at my white legs so I scolded him.
"What are you looking at?"
"Are you really sitting like that? You don't look like a woman!" he said to me while drinking beer.
"Are you still interfering with my sitting?"
Lance just shook his head. "Where do you live?" it's a different conversation.
"What are you a reporter? Ask a question!"
"What are you! I just want to get to know you properly," Lance said.
"In Brgy. Santo Tomas," I answered briefly.
"There? Isn't that a remote place?" Lance asked in shock.
"Yes, and I'm a ghost! If I annoy you, I'll eat you alive! Grrrr..." I said to him as if he backed away.
But later Lance laughed. I'm a little mad at him, is there something funny in what I said? I'm scared! Not kidding.
"What's funny?" I asked irritatedly.
"No, I'm just laughing at you, you're also a joker."
I just smiled too, this man is so shallow. I just did something simple and he laughed.
Until... I didn't realize that the night was passing, I had finished the beer I was holding. I have already told too much. Until my childhood and the hardships of my family. I almost cried. But Lance just keeps listening.
"Great! I've just told you so much," my face was red and I was feeling numb.
"You've had a lot of experience in poverty. That's why you're holding a knife."
I looked at Lance. But immediately went and nodded.
"You know Lance, your grandfather was kind. He showed me nothing but goodness. So I can't fool him," he said.
"But you will meet so many younger people. Don't waste your life,"
"Do you think I'm just wasting my life here?" I asked that Lance didn't immediately answer.
Because the truth is, Lance wants Kathy to understand that her grandfather is not the answer to all problems. Of course... just them.
"Yes, from the human eye, it's obvious that all you need is money from grandpa." Lance said seriously.
"Are you mad at me?" I asked Lance again.
It is not silent. Instead, he drank his beer straight. So I got the answer 'yes' because of what he did.
"You're right, I don't need to sympathize with other people because of the difficulties I'm experiencing. I know what I did was wrong, but if you were in my situation, you would understand why I did it."
"But if you were in my situation. You would also understand why I am like this. My grandfather is only one family. That's why I don't want to lose him in my life. Even though we always argue, we still have the same attitude. He's my grandfather and I'm his grandson so we protect each other. I just don't want grandpa to get hurt, and for him to leave me right away. Kathy is the only one in my family... she's the only one in my life." Lance's long story.
I can clearly see being a man in Lance. His protection of his grandfather. His love even though he doesn't show it to his grandfather. That's why I know I don't really need Lance to be loving to people. Because Lance is the type who loves secretly. He didn't want to be dictated to, he didn't want to be seen as doing nothing good. Because the truth is, he has done a lot that only grandpa can't see.
"I'm sorry for what I did, I'm sorry if I'm another one who added to your problem. Maybe you're right, maybe I was the reason when your grandfather disappeared. Like me, I'm doing this for my family. You, you're doing this for your grandfather." I cried all the time. "Tomorrow, I'm leaving. I'm going home with us," I said sadly.
I saw that Lance seemed to take pity on me. He came to me and wiped the tears from my cheeks.
"Kathy... I'm sorry if I hurt you. I don't want to see a crying woman in front of me so stop," Lance whispered to me. I looked at him. Lance and I are almost face to face. I listen to the strong beating of my heart. I felt a strange pulse just now. I felt like the world stopped running when our eyes locked on each other.
"Lance..." I said softly, I wish I could say I was having trouble breathing because of the way he was touching my cheek. It's hard for me to speak because our faces are about a span apart. I'm having a hard time because... because I can't explain what I'm feeling.
"Kathy... can I kiss you?" Lance asked seriously.
But I couldn't answer his question. I don't know how to say 'Yes'.
But even though I couldn't speak, Lance would continue what he said. Because I saw that his lips gradually came closer to mine, until I just closed my eyes when I felt Lance's lips touch mine.
At first I couldn't move. At first, I wondered what I was going to do. Lance just felt that I didn't know how to kiss. So he grabbed my neck and supported me. I just followed his movements. It's delicious... the sweetness of Lance's lips. Especially when I saw that he also closed his eyes while he was kissing me.
What do I feel? Do I love Lance?
I put my hand on Lance's chest to stop him.
"Lance, stop!" I suddenly promised. So it stopped and stared at me.
"I'm sorry Kathy," Lance said before standing up and leaving the room.
I was left alone in a daze behind the door. I bit my lip, is this true? I agreed to kiss Lance?
Until I lay down on the bed, I could still feel Lance's kiss on me. I was smiling as I was thrilled. "What the hell Kathy! You shouldn't be thrilled, how do you know if what he's doing to you is true or not? You know, he's just taking you for a ride! Besides, think about it, there are a lot of women. You really want to add more ?" I frowned my face. But later I was still smiling. I think I woke up more after drinking beer. Oh no, after Lance kissed her.
"Kathy, think about it, a lot of people die because of misconceptions. So if you choose someone to love, make sure you're serious." I sighed and tried to close my eyes. I succeeded because I woke up the next day.
I stood up and stretched my back. Before entering the bathroom to do the daily routine. Brush your teeth and wash your face. Then I left the room to have breakfast.
"Ma'am, what are you having for breakfast?" asked the maid Nora.
"I'll take care of myself Sister Nora, just do what you're doing." He nodded before leaving the kitchen. I don't need an assistant, because I can serve myself. It's not because I live here that I feel like a lady. I don't want to train myself to do that because I'm leaving here today.
After making coffee, I saw Lance enter the kitchen. That's why I turned around suddenly and got dressed in the brewing process even though the truth is that my coffee is okay again.
I didn't look back for a long time, I thought Lance was gone but someone suddenly hugged me from behind and I was startled.
"Josku po rudy! What the hell Lance!" I said surprised here.
"Hmmm... my breakfast smells so good. Are you avoiding me, huh?" he asked me who was still in the hug.
"Huh? Why would I avoid you? Tsk! Let me go, maybe someone will see us!" I said trying to remove Lance's hand that was wrapped around me.
"What if someone sees? Why? Are we doing something bad?" He laughed and kissed my cheek.
I was surprised by what he did.
"Ah! What the hell Lance! Why did you kiss me? Let me go!" Lance let go of me and grinned at me.
"Why are you so tense, last night it was-"
"Hey! Try to say I'm really going to beat you up! Can you Lance, what you did last night is just not mine! Duh, why are you still reminding me of trivial things," he said.
Lance frowned at what I said.
"Yes, by the way... that's none of your business! Whose coffee is that you brewed? Is that mine?" He took the coffee and drank it.
"Hmmm... you're fat! Hey, as far as coffee goes, there's nothing as sweet as you!" It set the cup down.
"Tsee! That's not for you! Then you'll bring it back when you have saliva!" I said irritated.
"What if I have saliva, we kissed last night, you didn't moan!" he said making my face blush.
"Hey! What's wrong! I just gave it to you, don't be a feeler!" he said with a sigh.
"Ah, is that so? You just gave it to me? What if I want one more? Are you going to give it to me again?" Lance approached me, I backed away but I had nowhere to back down because the sink was behind me. I focused my hand on Lance's chest again, while his hand focused on the sink behind me.
"What? Do you have anything else to say?" it asked me.
"La-lance... h-don't do this to me!" I stammered here.
"Why not? I'll do it when I think about it, why Kathy? Don't you like what we're doing?" Lance touched my cheek making me feel even more tense.
I can't speak or move.
Until...
"It's a horse lizard!" shouted their assistant Nora.
I suddenly pushed Lance. Lance was laughing as he drank my coffee.
"So-sorry ma'am, sir, I was just surprised," he said turning his back and leaving the kitchen.
My face was red because of what happened. Lance didn't care that someone saw us.
"What are you laughing at? Is there something funny?" I said annoyed here.
"Hahaha. Why is your face red? Come on, let's go out." He grabbed my hand but I stopped him.
"W-what's coming out? Where? Besides, why would you bring me along? You might just make me an assistant!"
"Hey! Alright, I'll leave first." He walked away from me but I yelled at him again.
Hey! Are you really not going to force me?" I asked here.
He laughed loudly before speaking. "Get dressed, hurry up. I'll wait for you in the car," Lance said.
So I quickly ran to the room and got dressed. I only went out once with a handsome man. Besides, I'm going to make the most of it, it's total and I'm going home.
