Chapter 2 Marriage deal

Jason held her by the waist carrying her off to the bed just like he had done the previous night and the light headedness made it hard to fight him.

You need to get some rest," Jason said and they moved out of the room.

Leona found herself drifting off to sleep though she fought hard not to go in the unconscious state for fear of what would possibly happen to her next.

The two men proceeded for the study room and when the master had finally seated down he said "get her a doctor immediately, she needs a thorough check-up and make sure he doesn't leave this mansion unless everything is perfectly fine with her, he paused for a fraction while his eyes sharply reviewed the documents that the old man had handed him and his face held an expression that was totally emotionless, your dismissed." He ordered his focus still on the literature.

The old man felt his heart leap with what he definitely perceived as joy, for awhile now he had not seen his master show corncen for anything other than work and last night he had made love to a woman, "how splendid" he thought to himself with a smile, "finally this will shut down all the rumours that have been spreading like wild fire about my master only if she would agree to the marriage," a frown creased on his face when he reflected back on how sturbon and outraged she was when he spoke about the proposal,oh better get the doctor." He stepped out of his monologue and briskly moved dowstairs.

Jason threw his head backwards as he sat on his chair "Leona Williams, he whispered and his hands moved slowly to his lips to where he kissed her passionately last night, why didn't he feel the sickening feeling he got when ladies came close to him, he wondered.

He had the old man do an investigation on her and he got to find out that she was working at the St.Mary's Hospital as an intern nurse.

After the doctor had performed some tests on Leona he reassured him that she was absolutely fine it was only the lack of glucose in her blood that made her weak.

"According to the doctor you're having hypoglycemia so you need to acquire some glucose to buffer it up," Jason said in his indifference tone once she was awake.

Leona turned her gaze to the food and though she was mad the delicacies arrayed on the silver plates made her ravenous so she slowly sat up, swallowed her pride and said "okay."

Jason knew what she meant but he had the sudden urge to tease her so he asked "okay to what?"

" I'll eat the food," she said angrily and her mumbling stomach made him smile exposing his dimples.

Seeing her chunk on the food piqued his interests about her appetite he ignored his feeling and went on to say "look i know you're furious about what happened between the both of us but I'd like to make a deal with you," he said looking intently at her.

"What deal?".

"Well you and i get married but the marriage will only last for a year and after that we both go our separate ways."

Leona found herself choking on her food imploring him to hand her a glass of water "i want to go home," she said silently not giving him an answer to his proposal.

"I'll have my men drop you off, after a moment of silence between the both of them, Jason pulled out his card and said "reach me on the number below when you come to a conclusion but remember what i said don't be quick to reject it," he re-echoed his previous words and moved out of the room.

Just as he had said his driver dropped her off to her apartment where she lived with her bestfriend Cleo.

Opening the door, she found her friend weighed down with worry written all over her face.

"Cleo," she called out.

"It's good your are back the bank dropped this off, she said handing her the letter.

She wondered what the document was all about and why it made her friend fretful so she read through and she almost screeched out after her mind processed all the information "Wait...... what this can't be...... I'm still left with a year to pay off the loan they can't do this to me," she said frustrated and the levels of cortisol surged in her blood.

"I'm sorry bestie i wish i could help you out but I'm really low on cash and dad won't give me my allowance." Her friend tried to console her.

Leona sat down on the chair and held her face in her face in her hands, she was a few days away from going to jail and losing out on her dream of becoming a registered nurse.

No she couldn't let all she's worked for go down the drain she had to look for a way to pay off the loan in just the two days she had been given.

"What are we going to do now?" Asked Cleo, i have a few things we could perhaps do a garage sale," she suggested but she also knew the sale wouldn't be able to cover up the $500,000 that the bank was demanding from her friend.

Just then Leona's mind drifted back to the deal Jason had laid out to her.

"Excuse me," she said and moved to her room.

Cleo knew she wanted space to do some thinking so she didn't try to follow or question her.

Closing the door Leona moved about her room relentlessly biting on her fingers " i guess i have no choice, there is no way i will get the money within these two days besides it's only a year and then it will all be done," she thought inwardly

She hated to admit it but this was the only way out of her dire situation.
