Chapter 4 Introduce Oneself

"You didn't find his identity Are you stupid"

The man in neat clothes could only stare lazily at his men. It's useless if he continues to swear and mock if there is no result at all. Since that night, his mind has always been unfocused just because he thought of one woman. Unfortunately, it also took a toll on his work though he tried hard to stay focused.

Carol could only take a deep breath. Been standing for an hour and only hearing swear words and ridicule. Seeing his silent master, he immediately moved while placing a folder on the table. Right in front of the man who kept showing his disappointed face.

"It's not that I didn't find it, sir. It was all just a minor hindrance because I never saw who you were referring to. So, can you tell me what that person looks like" he said with a forced smile.

Antonio sighed again for the umpteenth time. This was either because he was stupid for not telling him beforehand or because his trusted men wanted to play a trick on him. Antonio lazily took the folder that was right in front of him, then opened it.

Antonio looked back at his men who were now raising one eyebrow. He smiled. "You never let me down," he said, then showed a crooked smile.

"I'm going and don't follow me," Antonio said again while tidying up his messy little clothes.

"Ready." Carol also answered with a mocking smile. The thing he usually did when his Master was going to meet new prey. It was very common for Carol.

Antonio immediately left after making sure his appearance was neat again. He gave a knowing smile before finally patting Carol's shoulder there before leaving. Leaving his right-hand man who is now holding back a smile with a slow shake of his head.

Meanwhile, a girl in casual clothes was enjoying a glass of coffee that she ordered earlier. Morning and coffee. The right combination wherever the atmosphere is, of course, can soothe a bored soul. Moreover, the sun is so warm which further adds to the relaxation.

"Bright morning" she muttered after sipping her coffee again and then closed her eyes while leaning her body on the chair.

Before long, the sunlight that she enjoyed with her eyes closed felt different. She tried to ignore it but still, the image in front of her did not disappear. Desha opened her eyes. She narrowed her eyes. Staring at a figure she didn't recognize was watching her intently. She took a deep breath and walked away.

"I think we've met, Miss."

Desha only glanced at him for a moment then walked back and sat down in another chair. She put her coffee cup on the table and then leaned back, enjoying the morning sun. While the man smiled slightly seeing Desha's behavior then returned to the chair where the girl was. He sat down on the chair facing the girl.

"Don't disturb my precious time, sir. Go because your presence is not needed here."

Desha politely chased away the man who suddenly came to disturb her time.

Antonio cleared his throat. "Sorry if I disturbed your time."

"Don't block my sun anymore. I think nothing matters. Can you please leave here I want to be alone."

"Could just one question before I go"

Desha opened her eyes. She stared at the figure in front of her who looked so calm. She shook her head and took her coffee cup. Sipped back on the coffee. "Go while I'm still kind."

"I promise only one question. If you answer, I'll leave right away." Antonio said convincingly.

"What advantage do I get"

Antonio raised one eyebrow. His eyes continued to stare at the hazel eyes in front of him before finally chuckling. "Whatever you want."

Desha was contemplating her decision and then nodded in agreement. "Tell me what it is."

He smiled. "Easy. I hope I'm not mistaken. What... Did you attend a masquerade ball at the Blue Rivier hotel two days ago I was just curious and accidentally saw you here so I came closer to make sure it was you or not."

Desha seemed to think, and after a few minutes, she shook her head. "I didn't go anywhere and didn't even leave the house after a week of work. And that, today. Sorry, but you have the wrong person."

Antonio stared into the girl's eyes. The woman in front of him did look too young to attend a party where almost all of them were business people and adults, but he couldn't understand why the eyes of this girl were so similar to the eyes of the woman he met that night. Also, Antonio had a feeling he had seen this girl before but he had forgotten where it was. Could he have the wrong person

"Are you sure I don't know why I feel sure that that night I met you."

Desha gulped down her coffee. "I have answered one question. I think a man like you will not break the agreement but indeed no human is perfect."

"Did I ask you for money"

Antonio withdrew his hand again, putting the precious slips of paper back in his wallet. "Then what do you want, Miss"

Desha points the way. Making Antonio follow the directions shown before finally understanding. Antonio started to leave, but before he left he gave a business card in front of the girl's desk.

"There's nothing wrong with getting to know each other, right"

Desha rolled her eyes lazily and took Antonio's business card for her to look at.

"Successful man," she praised, earning a nod from Antonio. "Unfortunately I'm not interested. Just keep it for yourself," she said again while giving the business card to the man in front of her.

Antonio received his card back. He stared at the small card with a faint smile. He nodded slowly and tucked the thin object into his coat.

Desha left after that. Leaving Antonio who froze because he again received a rejection from a woman and even left like that. A sigh was heard. Emotions were taking over because of the unknown girl's impudent actions, but there was one thing that bothered him. The girl's voice and demeanor were almost the same as the woman who rejected him that night.

"It wasn't easy to get you. No problem. I like challenges like this," Antonio muttered, watching Desha's body slowly leave.

Antonio looked at the cell phone afterward. Called someone and started to leave. Leaving a deserted outdoor café was also a figure there who kept peeking from behind the wall.

Desha continues to stare from a distance. Her eyes widened. A cynical smile appeared as soon as he saw the figure of a man who had entered a car across the street after interrupting her time. She took her cell phone and connected to someone she knew, then went behind a small alley.
