Chapter 5 Be my contracted wife for six months

" sir are you okay?"Reece asked and Hillary shut him a glare and he kept quiet.

" You can go now"he said and Reece left him office murmuring to himself.

" Such an ungrateful devil, he can't even appreciate my efforts not as if he's paying me extra money for my hard work "Reece kept murmuring till he got to his office.

The day rushed so fast and soon it was evening. Hillary left the office going straight to the bar. All through the working hours he has been thinking about the contract marriage, he came to a conclusion of offering her the contract so that she would be able to save her mom.

The driver came to an halt in front of the bar, and Hillary alighted from the car, looking all dashing as ever.

He walked straight to the counter and cherry gasped holding her chest when she saw him already sitted in front of the counter.

" You scared me to death"she said but he stared at her with an expressionless face.

" What should I offer you sir"she asked but got no reply.

" Sir what should I offer you"she asked again.

" I have a job for you which will provide money for your mum's surgery"he said in one breath and stared at her to see her reaction.

She was shocked to death how he knew her mom need eight million USD for her surgery.

" How.........did......you......know"she stuttered but he didn't say anything.

" Be my contracted wife for six months and I will give you twenty million USD" he side pressing his phone

She was still shocked as hell, she couldn't fathom all that is happening right now.

" Your contracted wife for six months?"she asked and he nodded even though his eyes are glued to his phone.

" I can't !! I can't do it, my dad is going to fill me when he finds out" she said shaking her head sideways.

" He won't know not until you tell him"he said turning his gaze from his phone to her.

" Marriage is sacred!!" She said slowly

" It's just a contract and no strings attached we're just going to the count and sign some documents, and you will live as my wife outside but home we're strangers"he said but she wasn't convinced.

He hate the fact that he was talking to a lady but he needs to do this cause of his mom.

" Please I can't, find another person, I know I am badly in need of the money for my mom's surgery but I can't am sorry"she said fidgeting with her dress and Hillary signed.

He stood up and brought out a card from his wallet, " if you decide to change your mind this is my phone number or come to come to my house since you know where I live "

" And thanks for last night"he said and walked out.

Cherry stared at the card and remembered all what he said .

" God help me, what do I do now"she said rubbing her temple.

Next day

It was a Saturday morning and cherry was on leave, she sat up when her alarm started ringing. She turned it off and rubbed her eyes before going to the bathroom to have a cool bath.

Within thirty minutes she was done bathing and dressing up. She wore a jeans trouser and tank top, she was packing her hair in a bun when her phone rang.

She immediately checked the caller's ID and when she saw it was her dad, her heart skipped a beat, and she picked it.

" Hello cherry your mum is dying, she just have one week according to what the doctor said"her dad said in tears and cherry began to cry.

" Dad don't worry am going to find the morning just tell Mom to hang in there okay, tell her not to leave us now, I promise to get the money"she said and hanged up.

She wiped her tears and took her bag and phone running Downstairs.

" Hey cherry are you going to work today?"oceane asked.

" No I need to get somewhere see you when am back"cherry said and wore her white Snickers running out the house.

She boarded a taxi who took her to Hillary's house, she alighted from the car payed him and talk to the gate.

She knocked on it and a middled aged man opened the door.

" Good morning mam how many I help you?"he asked

" Am looking for Mr Hillary Del'mundo"cherry said and noticed the surprised look on his face.

" Come in"he gestured and she immediately got in and walked towards the door.

She placed a soft knock on the door and not too long Hillary opened the door

He was wearing a hoodie and pants with a damped hair which made him more breath taking than ever.

He made way for her to enter and she did, she slowly sat down on one of the sofa fidgeting with her nails.

" Am sorry if this making you uncomfortable but I agree to be your contracted wife, my mum have just one more week to live"she said as tears rolled down her cheeks.

" So let's get everything done and I will give you money for your mom's surgery" he said sipping from the glass of wine he was holding.

" We will proceed to the court tomorrow" he said and she nodded.

" Thank you so much I really appreciate" she said and he nodded before walking upstairs leaving her in the sitting room alone.

She stood up and walked out, she walked all the way to her house, she was so down as if her blood was drawn out of her.

She's regretting why she accepted but she have to save her mom and that's what is important right now. She was thinking of what her dad was going to say, she started remembering what her dad said about marriage.
