Chapter 3 The Audacity

ARMINA'S POV

"Hmmmmm...." the prince and princess stared at all four of us with curiosity. I can't believe we've been outsmarted by a 13 and 9 year old. I am ashamed of myself for letting the lady gone through this again. We shouldn't have been gone to this castle on the first place. Ugh! I need to do something before it's too late.

"Armina.... are you a witch by any chance?" How can he see through me! I didn't say anything. "I take that as a yes." He smiled. No! That's not my intention at all! Ugh! The princess then turned to Eris. "From this smell, you must be a werewolf. Your eyes are yellow as well." I face palming myself. I forgot that whenever Eris had sex, her eyes will stayed like that for a few days.

"I don't know about you two though. But ...." the prince turned to Helvisa. "I may have a hint about you. Your stoic expression, only speak when you were ask, limited use of your energy and you feel pain every time you tried to show your feelings, you're a demon." How can he know that! I blame those books he read. "Yes, I am a demon. Armina is a witch, Eris is a werewolf, and Reina, she's a siren. What will you do to us? Hang us? Burn us? Do it. I can assure you, we will not die nor scared of humans."

We're done for. Helvisa will not tolerated anything when it comes to our safety. I hope she doesn't scare those kids too much but to my surprise, they stared at Helvisa. "You don't scare us. We've met someone far more scary that you." The princess informed us. "Yea, our mother can be quite a monster herself when it comes to our father." The royal siblings chuckled.

"What is up with that king?" Reina was being her comfortable self again. I glared at her for such casual conversation. These two may be young but they're our employer! "Don't be mad at her Armina. We don't mind. I mean, we have no true friends. All we have is the people who work for our family. Those 'friends' that came earlier this afternoon was just someone from school."

"Wait you went to school? What about the nanny?" I asked. The Prince smiled. "Nanny Venus only teach us about etiquettes. Also, about our father, it happened after Elaria was born. I heard mother and father fought a lot behind their chamber's door. At first I blame my mother for neglecting him but, after what I saw in their chamber, it was my father who's to blame for everything."

He's quite a strong young man. To be able to be this compose about his parents, he's quite mature for his age. "We don't blame our mother because she's the only parent we have that care about us. Sometime I wish for her to find her own happiness rather than thinking about us. She's hurting herself." What a strong young girl.

"Why not tell her you want him out. You don't have to see her hurting herself again if you told her. She's the queen, she can do anything. Your father is useless for this kingdom. He didn't even do anything to rule it properly." I wish I could covered Helvisa's mouth with a lot of tape. She's being too emotional about this. "But ...." the prince didn't get to finish his thought when Helvisa shut him up.

"Trust me. If you be true to your mother, you will see her smile like she used to." Helvisa patted the prince's head like a parent does. What in the world possessed this demon girl?! I turned around to face Reina and Eris who's eyes were sparkling with admiration. "Hey!" They both pout at me. "Eris, your arm." I heard the prince and princess running footstep and they literally stood in front of Eris.

"You even have the claws. Can I touch them?" Eris nodded. Slowly the prince poke Eris's arm. When he found his courage, he grabbed her wrist and just admired her well being. "Hey Helvisa, do you have horns? Like in the illustration, demons have horns and goat feet." Helvisa shake her head. "My father ..... he came from a pure breed demon. But my mother, she's not related to any demon bloodline."

"Oh, what is she? A witch? A werewolf? Oh wait, a vampire? Does a vampire exist?" Helvisa turned to me for help. "Yes. Vampire does exist. The famous one known as the Akeldama royal family. They rule the realm where most creatures like us four came from. Helvisa's mother, she's not from that realm. She's from way different realm. A realm where dying souls come for their judgement."

"You mean Valhalla?" Okay seriously, this kids know way too much. Who has been writing about our existence?! "Yes. You know about Valhalla?" The prince nodded. "If your mother came from Valhalla, that's mean she's a ...." the prince gasped. "A Valkyrie warrior?!" Helvisa nodded. "How is it you know so much?" The prince went to his study table and showed us a couple of books.

"Our late grandfather, he's one of those people who think that legends and myths are true. You'll be surprise by how much books relating to your realm in our mother's private library." Hmmm, their late grandfather huh. I wonder who he is. For someone to wrote this, they must have been seen the realm itself. Helvisa suddenly turned her head to the windows and opened them.

I heard a faint sound of ..... bells? No. Not bells... sirens. Warning sirens. "What's wrong?" The prince and the princess wondered. "Eris.." Eris nodded and used her sensitive nose to determine the situation. "Pirates? No.. not pirates.. not from the sea.." she took a deep sniff and when she opened her eyes, she smiled. "Smugglers. Charlene caught them."

"Whoa! You can know that just by sniffing?" Eris shake her head. "Reina can see everything with her eyes, see." The royal siblings stared at Reina's all white eyes. "Does that mean you can even see through walls?" Reina nodded. "Where's my father right now?" The princess asked. Reina did as told but refrain herself from telling the truth.

Eris patted my shoulder. "Their father is with a maid." Eris informed me. Poor kids. I wish we could do something about it.

"Why do we have to follow these brats?" Helvisa hate the idea of escorting the royal siblings to town. "Because the queen asked us to. Don't be mean Helvisa. They're just kids." Helvisa clicked her tongue and looked away from me. She also hate it when I'm always right. I smiled at her and patted her thigh. "Where are we going exactly?" Eris asked. "King Armand's family house. The prince and princess wanted to see their grandparents."

"Why the queen and king stay behind?" I shrugged. But, the queen told me that the king is busy ..... staining their bed with other women's sweat. I know that Helvisa beginning to feel protective for the kids. She probably didn't know that I saw her warning the siblings about playing alone in the royal courtyard earlier. "So ... that's the king's official home?" I was surprised myself when Helvisa pointed at a normal looking house.

"Well, he's not royalty. So that's understandable." When the car fully stop moving, I was the first to walked out and went to the car where the prince and princess in. "Thank you Armina." I smiled at how polite this little princess can be. "Umm.. why ..." her question trailed off. She pointed at the car I was in and my eyes cant believe what it saw.

"Helvisa..." I shake my head at her antics. The prince laughed when he walked out of the car. "Helvisa." He called her using her hands. "Don't detest dogs like that. Dog's are cute." Helvisa tried to chase the dog away using her foot. "It's disgusting." Suddenly we heard Eris whimpered. "See.. you make Eris sad." The prince went to Eris and patted her head.

"There there Eris. Don't be sad." The prince consult her and dragged Eris and Reina to the house. "They both awfully close to him." What can she expect being their servant? "Are you jealous?" I joked. "No. But .... the guards. They seems to be weirded out by how close they are." She's right. It's just a few days since we work for them. The prince asked us to get inside.

"Don't worry, I'll do the chores. All you have to do is sit there and play with them." Once again I heard her famous tongue clicking in annoyance. "Try to be nice okay?" Helvisa waved me off and went inside rudely. I apologised a lot for her behaviour nowadays. The visiting went well but when it's time for us to go, it seems that their grandparents having some hard time releasing them.

I looked at the time and wonder if we could stay a bit longer but the guards shake his head, telling me it's time. Helvisa smiled and walked outside. "Why is she being distance?" Prince Gaultier questioned. "She hates being with everyone? She hate the cake? What's should we do brother?" The princess seems to have the wrong idea.

"She misses her mother. That's all. No need to worry, your highness." Once I make sure they both in the car, I gave the guards the green light to go.

On the way back, I can't help but to think about Helvisa's mother. "This ..... STOP THE CAR RIGHT NOW!" Helvisa suddenly screamed at the top of her lungs. "GET YOUR ASSES TO THEIR CAR RIGHT NOW!" Seeing how worried Helvisa was, Eris didn't even back down from transforming to her wolf.

"CHASE THE ATTACKER DOWN!" Helvisa screamed as Eris growled. When I walk out, the guards that suppose to make sure the prince and princess stay safe laid dead on the ground. "Shit." Reina and I ran to the car and was relief when both the siblings were fine but the princess were crying as the prince consult her. "It's going to be okay. I promise you that. Are you two hurt?"

I offered my hand and asked them both to close their eyes as we walk out of the car. "Are they okay?" Helvisa asked. But before I could answer her, she ran in towards me and deflect a ..... is that a bullet?! "REINA!" Reina ran towards me and covered my back as I picked both the prince and princess. "What should we do?" I asked. Helvisa casually caught anfull speed bullet from hitting the prince and princess.

"Well, for now, we have to be smart." Helvisa replied and threw the bullet back to where it came from. "Mother." I heard the princess whispered. "I want to see mommy." She started crying on my chest. "This is not the time Elaria!" The prince decided to be strong but he looks like he's about to cry as well. "Oh don't cry little one. We will make sure you two meet your mother again." I assured them. "ERIS! COME BACK TO ME!" Helvisa screamed.

"You there, hiding behind those trees and bushes. Don't be stupid. Come out here and dance with me." Helvisa challenged the attacker. Eris ran back to us, naked. She should've just stay as her wolf. "I'll count to 10." But before Helvisa even start to count, a couple of guys in black appeared from the trees and bushes, surrounding us. "Who are you? No human can stop a bullet." He asked as he aimed what I believe is a machine gun.

"That's just stupid. No human can transform themselves to a wolf." Another man voiced out. "Ugh! Just shut up and finish the job. All we have to do is to kill the royal kids right?" They must be real stupid if they thought they could continue their mission. "Armina, be a doll and buried their head on your neck. This is going a little bit messy."

"It can't be help. Listen to me, I want you two to close your eyes and ignore everything that you hear, okay?" I felt their body began to relax as they heard my voice. Good, the spell work. "Now Helvisa." By now, the only thing those man can do is to pray that Helvisa go easy on them.

"Can you drive?" Helvisa pointed at the car as she stepped on the corpses. "What in the world?!" I remembered that voice. It's Charlene. "The prince?! Princess?!" She sighed in relief when she saw the royal siblings sleeping on my chest. "What happened?" She asked. "Those guys in black suit killed the guards. They were just about to take the prince and princess but Eris turned to her wolf and chase them down. You need to clean up three more corpses 10 kilometres to the south."

"I never dreamt of saying this but, thank you. There a car waiting, its best to say that they will be safe in your care. I have to clean up this mess." Helvisa was the first to go inside the car but I noticed something is off when she walk. Reina helped me in and I take a glance to Helvisa as she's holding her thigh. "Did you get hurt?" I asked. "Yea." Was all she said. I nodded at Reina.

She lifted her skirt a little and I looked away from seeing such gushed. Herbs will not be enough for that. She need something strong, something that could heal it. "I know what you're thinking. I don't need sex." She said that but .... "I'm serious Armina. I dont need it." The car stop and Helvisa walked out. I smiled when the queen literally ran towards her kids and thanked us for saving them. "You all shall be rewarded." Was all she said before walking back to the castle with them in her arms.

I excuse myself and went to our room. Because the maids have to share a room, I decided to be with Helvisa, like always. "Helvisa?" She changed from her uniform already? I pick it all up and placed it in the laundry basket. "Helvisa, where are you?" She walked out from the bathroom in only her bra and boxer. "What?" My eyes were on her injured thigh. "Hey don't look at my bulge like that." She joked.

"Shut up. Sit down." I forced her to sit down and just pulled her boxer down. For someone who don't want to have sex, she does sure have a boner. I began to rubbed her shaft like always. "Don't ...." she tried to stop me. "Do you want me to use the flame for that injury?" I warned her. Her eyes widen. She hates the flames. But if she don't want the sex, the flames can do wonders.

It's healing pretty well. But, it's best to be prepare." Reina helped me with bandaging Helvisa's thigh. "The queen asked for us to see her." Reina informed.

"But .... she's asleep. We could go. She can stay. I'll explain to her." I tucked Helvisa on the bed and went to put on my uniform again. After I feel satisfy she's okay, I close the door and went to see the queen. "What if she fire us?" Reina expressed her thought. "I don't think so. She did say she's going to reward us." Charlene stopped us from proceeding.

"Whatever happen in there, control yourself. Okay?" I nodded. She sighed and open the door for us. "Oh yes!!! This is the first time you actually gain my attention Gisele. They going to be my companion tonight?" How awful can the king be to his own wife? The queen cleared her throat as we kneel in front of them. "Your highnesses."

"Rise. Don't be so lowly in front of us. You did just save our children. But where's your other friend?" I bow. "I'm afraid she's not healthy enough to present herself, your highness." I noticed the king's eyes were on Reina's rack all the time. He even lick his lips before winking at Reina. Being her old self, Reina winked back.

"Well, we're here to present your reward." The queen motioned for her advisors to gave us each a sack. "A few gold but we know what you did worth more than that." From the weight of this, it seems more than enough. "Also ...." the queen stood up and walked down from her throne to face me. "Why such strong being like yourself doing in a human world? Gaultier told me. Well, more like he mumbled in his sleep." She smiled.

My eyes widen. Oh no .... the queen .... knows....
