Chapter 7

"How is that possible? Kaylee asked feeling disgusted by the fact that someone else is claiming to be pregnant for her man.

"I know that my Ethan will never have anything to do with a lowlife like your daughter" Kaylee added with raised voice.

Roland turned to Tina and said to her "Tell them how it happened.

"It happened one month ago, I was assigned to Ethan's room to serve him drinks and he raped me, I later discovered that I am pregnant as a result of what happened that night" she explained to them.

Everywhere became so silent that if a pin drop, you will hear the sound.

"I am not the father" Ethan who have not talked since they came said aloud shattering the heart of Tina.

"Don't you remember that day a waitress came to serve you in room 202 Elitist Club, on the 27th of June? Tina said desperately.

"Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha" Ethan laughed like somebody that is deranged.

"I said I am not the father of that thing you are carrying, I don't know you, I have never met you before, what will I be doing with a dirty lowlife like you? Ethan asked Tina shattering her the more.

"You heard him, my man said he is not responsible for your pregnancy, I know that you are one of those desperate bitches looking for where to pitch their tenth" Kaylee insulted Tina who just remained silent.

"You heard my son, he said he is not responsible for the bastard in your daughter's womb, go and find who is responsible for her pregnancy" Vera said to them.

"Let a DNA test be conducted so that you can confirm wether we are lying or saying the truth" Maggie who hasn't said anything since they came suggested.

"There will not be any need for that, like I said earlier, I am not the father of that child she is carrying" Ethan said with a tone of finality"

"But it is...... Maggie was trying to say when Vera interrupted.

"There is no but here, my son said he is not the father of the child your daughter is carrying and that is final" Vera said to them hotly.

"We were busy before you people came and interupted us, so leave" Ethan said to them.

"Yes get the hell out this place or else we will call the guards" Kaylee said to them.

They all walked out of the mansion with tears streaming down Tina's eyes. She couldn't believe that after raping her and taking her virginity forcefully, Ethan could still deny and humiliate her in front of his family.

Ethan on the other hand knew that Tina was not lying but he has to deny the pregnancy because he is not ready to be committed to anybody and definitely not that poor girl.

They flagged down a cab and drove home without anybody saying a word.

Tina was in deep thought, she kept asking herself how her once happy life turned out to be filled with sorrows and tears. They got to their house and her father paid the cab driver. She did not even wait for her parents, she went and opened the door with her personal key and went straight to her room. Her parents came to her room with the aim of talking to her but she did not even look at them. She was obviously not in the mood to talk to anyone, she just wanted to be left alone and her parents understood her and left.

She thought of where she went wrong in life to make her go through so much pains. First she was raped and her virginity taken forcefully from her, when she thought that she can move on from the traumatic experience of being raped she discovered that she is pregnant as if that is not enough for her, the father of her child denied her in front of his family members and ridiculed her. She felt like commiting suicide to put an end to the pains she is feeling in he heart but when she remembered that there is a little one growing inside of her, she decided not to kill herself, if not for anything, for her innocent child.

After two days of locking herself in her room and thinking, she decided to leave USA and all the bad memories behind. She knew that if she remains here, she will keep hurting for the rest of her life. A change of environment would do lotta good for her. With these thoughts in her mind, she stood up, went to the bathroom and had a long and warm bathe. These two days her mom has been keeping food in front of her door but she doesn't touch it. After bathing, she wore a nice outfit and came out of her room. She headed to the sitting room and met her parents there, they were discussing on how to go about her issue.

"Mom am hungry" she said to her mom.

"Oh my dear, thank God you have come out, your food is inside the flask on the dinning table" her mom said to her.

She went to the dinning and sat down, then she dished the food into a plate and ate to her satisfaction. She then took the plate to thesink and washed it. When she was done with everything, her parents called her to the sitting room to talk to her.

"How are you feeling my dear? her mother asked her with concern evidence in her voice.

"I am fine mom" she replied her mom and smiled a little.

"Just know that whatever happens, we are always here for you, even if the father of your child deny you, we will always stand by your side and support you no matter what" her father said to her.

"Thank you mom for your support, thank you dad for standing by me, I don't know what I could have done without the both of you" she said to her parents emotionally and hugged them one after the other.

"You are welcome my daughter" her parents said at the same time.

After the emotional moment with her parents, she went inside and started making plans on how to escape from the house because she knows that if she tells her parents about her intention to leave California, her parents would not allow her.

She decided that she will leave early the next morning. She gathered all her belongings and put it in a medium size travel bag, she also gathered all her life savings which has been in a saving box at the corner and counted it, it amounted to $15 000 000 then she put it in her bag, she also bought a plane ticket online with the money she kept in her account and with that she was ready for her journey.

The next day as early as 4am she woke up, took her bath and wore a jean trouser and long top, then she wore a very thick sweater because the weather was very cold. She took a pen and paper and wrote a letter to her parents. She then folded it neatly and kept it in her reading table before sneaking out of the house through the back door.
