"Don't look at me like that Sabrina––I–––I slept with the prince a couple of weeks ago. I didn't say anything because I know how you'd react." Emily explained truthfully, as she look elsewhere and not at Sabrina.
"You allowed him to use you, Emily! You saw what he did to me, he ruined my reputation, and of all the men in the castle you choose to spend the night with the prince." Sabrina argued... "Did you fall for his charm too, every girl in the kingdom has fallen for the prince and we all want to throw ourselves at him––while he treats us like garbage... Look Emily, I only want the best for you, and I'm telling you this because I know you deserve much better." Sabrina said in an irritated voice as she rubbed circles around Emily's wrist to gey her full attention.
Without answering Sabrina, I walked towards the prince's room––maybe I could change him.
Make him mine if possible.
I was about to climb the stairs when I felt a pair of hands wrapped around my waist––I was startled at first but when I smelled Mike's cologne, I got angry. He's always creeping up on me even when I send death glares his way. I huffed before I jerked Mike's rough hands off of me...
"You scared me, Mike, why do you find it amusing to taunt me?" I asked through gritted teeth.
"Listen, Emily. I know I hurt you, but please give me a chance to prove my love to you." Mike pleaded as he looked at Emily with nothing but adoration.
"How can I go back to someone who did nothing but tip me apart? Mike–I don't regret the moments we shared together, nut I can't go back through all of that again. I've moved on and you should too." Emily said soothingly, not bothering to look up at Mike. "I––I have to go."
Mike
I couldn't let her walk away from me again.
I couldn't bear any men touching Emily.
So, I did what I had to do.
Mia
My eyes fluttered open as I heard a knock on my room door. I was surprised since no one ever visits me.... "Come in."
"Good morning, Mia. I heard what the prince did to you. I'm deeply sorry you had to go through all of that alone." Julie sighed before walking towards Mia bed to hand the tray to her.
"It's fine, I'm used to the treatment by now. I've gotten worse than this, so it's all good." Mia replied truthfully.... "The bruises weren't enough, so they brought you to poison me to end my life once and for all."
"If they wanted to kill you, don't you think you'd be dead already?" Julie rolled her eyes amused by what Mia has said. "Try the pancakes, I know they're your favorite."
As Julie left the room, I shove the plate under my bed. I know the Queen and King despise me enough to kill me.
I have to be careful who I associate with and extra careful with who I eat or drink from. No one has ever prepared food for me to eat and I find that strange, so why would I risk it all for one meal. I don't trust anyone in the castle and it will remain as such.
I stretched my arms and slowly placed my sore foot on the ground, and surprisingly it didn't hurt at all. The soreness had disappeared and the pain, but I wasn't going to let them know... This is my chance to get the rest I've been dying to get; all I need is food and water––and I know just how to get it...
Without a second thought, I dialed Aleandro's number. I wasn't sure he'd pick up, but surprisingly on the second ring, he answered... "Did the pain reliever work?"
How did he know that it was me?
I coughed before I pretend to be in pain and then answered... "No––the pain is worst. I don't mean to bother you or anything, but can you go out and buy me a cheeseburger, tons of chocolate, ice cream, and a large coke. I haven't eaten since yesterday, and I don't want anything from the castle anybody can put poison in my food."
"It's 5:00 AM Mia––what the hell. I'm going to bring a different pain reliever, just open your window. We cannot be seen together by any means; it's ordered from my parents." Aleandro sighed... "What kind of cheeseburger do you want, love?"
My eyes widen as Aleandro's words registered in my head, but I didn't comment instead I answered him and then cut the call. A few minutes later I went to my room door to lock it––the last thing I need right now is another visitor.
I whim in pain as my foot pressed on something sharp, tears whelmed up in my eyes as I hopped back to my bed.
I took deep breaths as my tears stain my cheeks. I then tried pulling out the gloss bottle out of nybut the pain was too much for me to handle. I tried a few more times, but the large piece of glass didn't budge.
I was about to close my eyes and cry myself to sleep in my misery but I sensed Aleandro approaching my bed. I tried to smile to hide my pain, but I failed––Aleandro took one look at me and knew.
