Chapter 4 For His Own Good

In college, Chelsea majored in film and television. After her marriage, she had been working as a part-time scriptwriter.

However, no one knew about this, not even Edmund. After all, she never revealed her real name. She wrote under the pseudonym "Winter."

Chelsea was surprised by Zuri's words. "Really?"

"Of course!" Zuri said firmly. "Luka has always admired your talent. Although you have been only working as a part-time scriptwriter, he appreciates your work. So if you become our company's official scriptwriter, he will nurture you with all the resources he has."

Zuri was an artist of Peak Entertainment. It was founded by a famous actor, Luka Pierce, who had retired from the limelight a few years ago, and his friend. Peak Entertainment had the most famous teams of scriptwriters, directors, and artists in the country. In the past few years, they produced numerous popular TV series and movies. This company had a great reputation in the industry.

Chelsea agreed without hesitation. "Okay, I'll sign up for it."

After getting divorced, going abroad was the best way out for her.

Two days later, Zuri brought Chelsea to Peak Entertainment to sign a formal contract. After this, Chelsea went to the mansion of the Nelson family to see Ethan Nelson, Edmund's grandfather. Since she and Edmund agreed to divorce, she felt it was necessary to inform Ethan about it. After all, Ethan was the kindest to her among the members of the Nelson family.

Half an hour later, Chelsea came out of the study with Ethan. Both of them had red eyes. Unexpectedly, she bumped into Edmund, who had just come back from a business trip.

He wore a grey suit, looking tall and noble. He showed the maturity and calmness of a thirty-year-old man and the majesty of a high-ranking person in power.

Chelsea remembered how obsessed she was with his appearance back then. She forced herself to look away.

Edmund only looked at her for a few seconds, then turned to Ethan and said, "Grandpa, I'm sorry. I'm on a business trip in Entosea these days."

Ethan recalled how resolute Chelsea was when they talked about divorce just now. So he couldn't help losing his temper. He replied crossly, "I'm not the one you should apologize to."

After saying this, he turned around and left. Edmund frowned and looked at Chelsea, who was standing aside.

Chelsea noticed the displeasure in his eyes. She knew he was thinking that she had complained to Ethan again.

But she didn't waver at all. She looked into his eyes and smiled sarcastically. "Don't worry. I didn't speak ill of you in front of Grandpa."

She then left without looking back, not caring about his reaction at all.

Chelsea only made it clear to Ethan that she was determined to divorce Edmund, so he and Diane could be together. She didn't want to torture him for the rest of his life.

Edmund's face totally darkened. Of course, he sensed the irony in her words.

For three years, Chelsea had always been a docile and obedient housewife in front of him. So he was enraged when she suddenly became sharp-tongued.

Edmund reached out and pulled his tie, suppressing his anger. Then he walked to find Ethan.
