Chapter 5 My stepbrother, my lover; Part 1

Synopsis:

Tap loved his step brother more than he should. And he kept it all bottled within him. However, an incident made him realize the brother feels the way.

"I will protect you, I will be here for you no matter what." He vowed.

"So you understand, baby boy?" he asked with a gigantic smile.

Cowering in fear of the thunder that was wreaking havoc, I nodded frantically.

"Promise?"

I looked up at him.

"Yes darling, I promise, I will always be there for you," he vowed, unknowingly sealing their fates.

Chapter 1 (What does she have that I lack?)

"Tap, let's go, hurry!! " Jane shouted, leaving the passenger's door open.

I ran in and shut the door.

"You, bitches, come back here!" the salesman ran after us, shouting at the top of his lungs as he waved for us to stop.

I gave him the finger, the adrenaline rush overwhelming.

He stopped running when it became obvious he can't catch up with us and placed his hands on his waist.

Having chased us for a long time, the old man must have given up, as he knew he was no match for us.

"Girl, that was fun!" I exclaimed, "we're doing it again."

She concurred, "the thrill was worth the chase. "

We high-fived.

Today's dare was to steal from a jeweller's store.

Dangerous right?

That's why it's called a dare, the danger part gives it a thrilling vibe.

"Do you think they will follow us?" she looked through the rearview mirror.

"I don't think so, and besides we didn't steal anything important.

Just an old, forgotten wristwatch."

She brought out the wristwatch in question.

Looking at how old it is, a person will initially disregard it unless they know about jewels and stuff.

"That looks like real gold." I examined the watch she placed on my open palm. Before I pass it to her, to examine.

"Of course, it is, silly," she threw the watch to me "it's all yours since you were the mastermind behind the operation."

She winked, "we wouldn't have pulled the job without your Sherlock Holmes' detective brains."

I blushed at her compliments.

I know I'm a nerd, but come on, that doesn't make me a genius.

Ever since Jane walked into my life, my life has changed from a shy nerd to an extroverted nerd overnight.

She filled my otherwise boring life with colours, and I'm grateful for that *whispers* don't tell her I said so.

However, I can't deny this, Jenny sure brought some light to my otherwise boring life.

My stepbrother's love life is taking a toll on me ever since I noted my growing forbidden attractions to him.

He will legit shit himself if he knows of it, and I don't want to lose his love because of this.

"Boy, why are you looking so distraught?" she peered at me before focusing her attention on the road.

It is unclear to me why she loves making use of boys in all her sentences if referring to a boy.

She hardly calls you by your name if she's having a conversation with you.

"Nothing!" I said it so fast that she raised an eyebrow.

"Brother stuff again?" She asked with a knowing look.

She found out about my forbidden attraction to my brother five minutes after our first meeting.

Nothing can be kept hidden from her all-knowing self.

"Unfortunately, yes." I nod.

"What did he do this time?"

I looked out the window to avoid eye contact.

I get emotional easily.

Just the mere look of pity on her face might make me break into uncontrollable tears.

"He's still dating Dinma. It's been almost two weeks, and it's yet for him to change girlfriends."

I'm exasperated about this stuff.

If only we can teach our hearts whom to love, most of the problems we have now wouldn't have been existing.

"You're worried he might like her, for him to exceed his four days dump and start over spree?" she stopped at a red light and turned towards me, giving her whole attention.

"Why wouldn't I be?

He's known to dump girls four days after hooking up, but he's still with her for two weeks as of now.

What did he see in her?

"What does she have that I haven't?" I whined. I know I am acting a bit childish, but can you fault me for that when it's obvious, that I am losing the love of my life to a slur who doesn't deserve him at all?

" For starters," she gave me a once over, "you are a boy and not a girl. Your brother sure is heterosexual."

"Don't you think he might like me? I mean, he loves me far more than a stepbrother should."

Gun took a liking to me on the first day we met, and since then, he has taken care of me like the good brother he is.

Honestly, I never thought I will click so well with Gun when we were introduced, but he made the decision smooth and easy for me.

"But-"

"I just want him to love me. But I know that's not possible. Gun treats me like a little brother."

"you can't be sure that's the case, there must be a reason for that. Don't fret, stay calm, he's yours and no one else's." She smiled.

Her words are like water poured on a stone.

The same way it came into my ear is the same way it will leave from the others.

She only said those words because we're friends. Had we not been friends, I highly doubt she would have been supporting me.

"I just hope so."

But I know it can never be okay. My stepbrother can never love me.

It's just wishful thoughts to think there might be an atom of love for me.

However, I will gladly take the love he decides to give to me.

So far, I have him with me, that's all I can ever ask for.

With the green light now showing, she drove off towards our estate.
