Chapter 5 Preparations

So far so good, we are done with activities that sent my spines wandering. The expression on our faces already told dad that we are done so he also smiled and entered the car. When we entered the car, mom and I gave a heave as if we planned it. The day was stressful but we were done with what we came to do. Dad started teasing me but we all laughed. Dad drove in the school so that I can see some places in the school. Soon, we reached the gate and I knew it was real. I gave a quick turn to see the principal's office and then back to the gate.

The gateman opened the door for us and we left with a "zoom" sound from the car.

On our way back home, I was laughing at myself within because I was nervous for nothing. I left a slight laughter which brought mom and dad's attention to me.

"Is everything alright", mom asked.

"yes please", I replied.

Mom and dad said something undertone and goggled. It made me curious but I have no choice to continue scrolling my phone.

Soon, we reached home and mom and I went to the kitchen after washing and changing the dress. We prepared rice and egg stew for the family. Just as we were done eating, we opened a Champaign as a sign of celebration. Exactly a week from today, school starts. We all decided to start buying the necessary things from tomorrow. I was asked to make the list of the things I would need together with the one on the prospectus. After drinking the Champaign, we departed to our rooms.

I called Ruthy to give her the news. She was very happy and she said she would be going to her school the following day. I was extremely happy for her as well.

It's a countdown, I said to myself. 07 days more. I quickly took pen and paper to list down the things I would be taking to school. I started with the ones on the prospectus and ended with the provisions.

The alarm woke me up early that I thought the time wasn't correct. I then took my phone to check and it was morning. I quickly laid my bed, brush my teeth and off to do my chores. After doing the chores, I went to greet mom and dad and thanked them for yesterday. Mom then told me to prepare breakfast and after that, we would live to the market to buy the things. After preparing the breakfast, I set the table for the family to eat. We left to the market around 9:00am to buy the stuffs. The market was very busy and noisy. We bought almost all the things in the market but we couldn't get some. We arrived home around 2:30pm exhausted and stressed. Mom and I went to our rooms to freshen up and from there, we went to the kitchen to prepare some food but to our surprise, daddy has already prepared the food down. After eating, we went to watch movie in the sitting room. I then thanked mom for her support and we continued watching the movie. Around 5:00pm, we went to the kitchen to prepare dinner after which we enjoyed our dinner together and said our goodnight prayers as a family and went to our rooms. When I entered the room, I went straight to my bath house to bath then back to my bed.

I laid on my bed and said to myself, 06 days more. Tomorrow, dad would take us to the melcome to buy the rest of the stuffs. I slept off pressing my phone. Around 1:30am, something was vibrating and I quickly woke up. It was message popping up on my phone, I then off the data and placed the phone on charge. I woke up on the morning and went on with my usual routine. Around 10:00am, the family set off to the melcome to buy the remaining stuffs. We arrived home around 11:00am. Though we had fun at the melcome, I was very tired. We sat down to eat the food dad bought at the restaurant when we were coming back. Just after eating, I left mom and dad at the sitting room to my room to have a rest.

Its 05 days more and we would start packing the things from tomorrow. I browse about the various courses offered in the college to get more understanding before the orientation day.
