Chapter 2 I

I was just a little child. Wanting nothing but happiness and love. Yet, at the young age... I saw the real figure of what world really is.

'Mama, papa here flowers for both of you.' I giggled.

'Thanks baby, you are so sweet.' She kissed me in cheeks.

If I know that is the last time, I would feel like that... I should have made it last longer. Suddenly the door burst open. Letting use see peoples outside having deadly weapons on their hands.

Papa just stand and go outside calming everyone.

"Hey all of you calm down... don't make all things worse... we can solve it without killing. Can you all put that down.?" They all laugh playfully and stop putting disbelief faces.

I was scared.

" Calm down, don't do killing? How can we?"

" Yeah, after all that we have discovered, you want us to believe in you?"

"Come on, we do not want to die and in order to live, we have to kill all of you"

" We can't let you kill us monster!!!"

" Just like your father, it is possible for you to not do that for it is in your blood!!"

They all shout with unison. In their eye we are now monster? My papa is monster? He always help others... how could they say that... They can't kill him. I run in front of papa.

"Stop. All of you stop. What did papa do to let you think of killing us? Papa help you with all his heart. He loved and trust all of you. How come you want to kill the person who prolong your life? Who make your life better. All papa want is to help you all!!"

I cried. I shouted on top of my lungs.

"Just... why do you want to kill us..." I then wipe my tears who is unconsciously falling down to my cheeks "we have done you no wrong..."

They just laugh like a demons and devils in my eyes. The killing intention of them isn't a lie.

They do think of killing me and my parents. That is for sure.

I want to cry and cry. I want to tell them that they are wrong. I was about to say other words but was stopped. I don't know what I should do... Until my best friend run in front of me smiling.

" Don't worry I believe you and uncle. The truth is-" he whispered

" father and mother want to help you so now go and escape and I will buy you time just be safe, okay?" I nodded and about to hug him but he declined. He was now holding a knife that he was holding in his back.

" Go! You need to run now. Just run with uncle and auntie. Mom and dad is waiting in your back yard. I love you and please don't forget me bye " he whispered and shout something all I hear is

" hahaha running? Go just run after all I will kill you and we will kill you family... my dear friend."

I know it's just a play but it hurts my heart. We run backyard and saw Tito and tita. We ride the cart and all I hear is shouting of peoples cheering as my best friend run after us. He put the knife down and jumped the cart but before he did, he was shot by a gun. I look behind him and saw the man who did that. I cried and was about to jump down to get him but before I did the cart run and Tito jump down.

I look at my best friend. He just smile and wave his hands. That red orbs. Those red hair... I will miss him. I can't find a way to save him. Is he going to die? He can't. We are best friends forever and ever.

'We can still be best friends even if I die '

I remember what he said this morning. I can't let my eyes of him. Tito was about to shoot the man who killed his son but get stab by the others. My dad can't handle it. He was going to jump but tita don't let him. They switch places and dad is the one who drove the carriage.

Tita then said "Alcalix , Marsa don't die. Protect her and never think you are the reason of this. We did it with our own free will. This is the only way to pay all the kindness your family did to mine. We love you and our life is made to protect you all. Thanks for the happy memories. That's all me and my husband want to say. Farewell my dear friends."

She jump and shoot who ever dare to run after us till she was killed by them. We just cry. I don't know what to do. I closed my eyes and let the darkness swallow me.

This is not true... right? This is just a dream... no. A nightmare. This is not true...

I open my eyes and we were all sleeping inside the carriage. It was crashed in a tree and I can see dad crying and telling it's all his fault.

" That damn cursed. Why of all people they choose me? I... why me. I will not kill others for revenge. Why do they want me to do that. I won't step on the same path dad had go through. I can escape it. I can. !!"

He is crying hugging mom who is unconscious. I crawl beside them. Hugging them both. Me as a 14 years old girl do experience those things, I can't help but cry. I stop crying as I feel a cold hand touching mine. Mama.

"Baby are you okay?" Her eyes was red. Looks like we all did cry. She lost her best friend. We all lost the best people in our life. They die in order to protect us.

To keep us alive...

Everything was painful. I have no idea what I should do. So that wasn't a dream...

We were silent... Then all we feel was heat.

The carriage is burning. Papa was able to get out and about to pull both mama and me. All I know is that heat touch my skin. Same for mama. Papa can't do anything because there is no water nor anything to stop the fire.

I feel pain. The scream I let out break my father's heart into pieces. He just kneeled. Crying and punching the ground. I hug mama.

"I love you mama, papa I love you. I will always will."

I shout as I push mama away the cart. She isn't burned just some bruised and the fire didn't touch her but still she did get little burn because I push her in the fire to get her out the cart. I successfully did that. All I know is I'm in pain.

My dress was burned. I'm in so much pain. I don't want to let anyone feel pain like this. I want to give them chance to live happy. Aki just wait for me. I'll be with you again.

We can be best friends again... I mumbled to my self

And there... I don't feel the pain. I don't feel anything. I just keep my smile. What would happen to me now? I don't know. Mama... papa... stay alive. Be happy. I love you both.

I know that this happens for a reason. Now I have to find out why.
