Chapter 9 INTRIGUE

In the afternoon I received a call from Jennifer and she told me that she would come to our house tomorrow after that she hung up on me. She didn't even give me a chance to talk over the phone or maybe she is already guilty of the rudeness she did to me.

I secretly cursed Jennifer in my mind because she wouldn't tell me over the phone her motive no matter how hard I tried to please her; I couldn't rest because I felt nervous again. I tried to divert my mind by listening to music on my cellphone.

Whatever her reason was, I didn't find out because I was busy and it seemed like my mind was about to explode with the number of things that have been bothering me since I met Guillermo. He didn't calm my mind anymore and until now the events of the previous night are still playing in my mind like a tape recorder.

The next day, my family and I went to church and when we got home, Jennifer immediately greeted us with her car parked outside our house. As usual, Jennifer feels at home and we consider her a member of the family so she can just walk into our house.

She went straight to my room and we talked right there.

"Oh, how are you? Did your Daddy scold you because we came home late from the disco club this morning?" I asked her, but she seemed to ignore what I said, she rolled her eyes and looked bored with my question.

"My dad was angry at first, but yesterday it was normal." She answered.

Jennifer is a bit of a black sheep in the family but she doesn't respond rudely when her parents scold her, she often listens but she doesn't follow their orders either. She wants to follow herself, be independent and create her own rule but she does not neglect her studies and she still maintains high grades in school.

"So, Corrina tell me what happened to you at the disco club the night we got separated? We were looking for you but we couldn't find you, you didn't even tell me what happened to you when we were no longer together on stage and I even heard that there was a commotion at the disco club because of a woman. But you know I'm jealous of that woman,"

I frowned.

"Oh, what would you be jealous of if the girl was the cause of trouble at the disco club?"

"Of course, my envious because the girl is being fought over by a young and handsome billionaire and a middle-aged businessman." She was very happy and even proud of what she said.

I was shocked because I was the girl who created trouble at the disco club.

"Wait, is there any news about the middle-aged businessman, the young billionaire, and the woman?" I asked, maybe Jennifer didn't suspect me as to why I was curious to ask for the update of the three people involved in the commotion.

Jennifer didn't seem to notice me and just continued to answer my question.

"Well, the fight was settled and then suddenly that girl disappeared from the scene." Jennifer walked around my room. I watched her appearance; how could she do that? Even though her make-up is very simple, she still looks very feminine and beautiful. Her sex appeal is strong, her brown wavy hair is well-groomed and her hazel eyes are still bright. Whereas when I'm not wearing makeup, I always look like I'm awake from sleep.

She came over to my desk table, pulled something out of my notebook, and read a small card.

" GUILLERMO R. LACOSTA, Young Mafia Billionaire. Wait, this man's name sounds familiar,"

I was surprised and I suddenly jumped where Jennifer was standing and tried to grab the calling card from her. How could I be careless with my stuff and she even read my calling card?

"What? I'm intrigued by him, wait." Jennifer thought for a moment and I quickly snatched the calling card from her.

She smiled and seemed excited to talk to me again.

"I knew it already. I remember, he was that rich handsome young man who asked me your real name."

And because of that, I pulled the end of her hair.

"Ouch!"

"Why did you tell him my name?" I started to get annoyed and if Jennifer wasn't my friend, I would have cursed her for sure.

"He was asking about you and he told me that you were his friend. Also, how can I refuse to help him when I cannot resist a sympathetic rich, and handsome man like him? Wait, who is this man? And why don't you want him to know your real name?"

"Is he court you?"

"No," I answered but I couldn't look directly at her.

"Boyfriend?"

I glared at her.

"Especially NO!" I raised my voice.

"Who is that man and what is his relationship with you? Tell me the truth, what are you hiding from me?"

She was shaking and shaking me, she was forcing me to confess those times, I couldn't hold back and I answered her.

"Alright, I'll confess," I shouted to her.

She was surprised for a moment and she let go of me, I mustered up my courage and took a long breath before I spoke. Most people say "the truth will set you free," and since Jennifer is my friend, I don't want to keep my secret from her either.

"I'm the girl who created a commotion at the disco club," I said.

"AH, WHAT?" Jennifer's eyes widened and she immediately covered her mouth in shock.

I thought that everything would end there but Jennifer's mouth was like a machine gun, she throws me several questions.

"How did it happen?" she asked still not believing what I said. I also expected that she would not immediately believe it because even I did not immediately believe the trouble I had caused at the disco club.

I didn't immediately answer her question, we sat together on the bed, and then I spoke again.

"Do you remember when we are separated on stage? I was looking for you when I was left alone in the middle of so many people. I looked around until I met a middle-aged pervert man, he was rude and he really made me feel upset and he almost rape me while we were on the dance floor. I seek for help but I don't know who can I ask for help and where do I can hide. He grabbed my body and I was defenseless, I thought he would continue to exploit me but a young billionaire came and saved my life so he was beaten by the middle-aged man so I helped him escape, I found a bottle and hit the middle-aged pervert man on the head, he lost consciousness for a while and then we went out to the young billionaire's disco club. He thanked me and gave he gave me a calling card, he told me if I need help I should not be shy to call him, after that he left and you came."

Jennifer was speechless as she seriously listened to my story, I didn't even tell her about the young billionaire kissing me and how he enslaved my lips as well as my whole body.

After a while, Jennifer suddenly raised an eyebrow at me as if she noticed something in my stories.

"Are you sure the young billionaire didn't ask for anything else in return from you? The kind of people like him don't just appreciate other people's goodness, he asks for something in return whether it's small or big."

My hands got a little cold from what Jennifer said, I didn't even think about it right away.

"No, he didn't ask for anything else from me," I answered even though I knew I wasn't sure.

"But you're still lucky because you caught a fat fish." suddenly Jennifer screamed as if thrilled and I recognized Guillermo. He used his trick again.

"It seems effective that I made you wear a body-tight dress, you attracted a rich and handsome billionaire," he added.

I suddenly remembered the body-tight dress I borrowed from Jennifer, I noticed it in the basket and it was still there, I hadn't washed it yet.

"Ah, by the way, I'm sorry I haven't washed the dress I borrowed from you."

"Oh, don't bring it back to me, the important thing now is that there is a man who notices your beauty. My advice to you is that when Guillermo flirts with you, answer immediately and if you don't like him, just give him away to me, his big muscles are so yummy and strong, if he's my boyfriend, I'm sure I'll make him happy every day. I shook my head.

"Stop flirting and be careful if Oscar will find out that you like other men," I can't believe it, she already has a boyfriend but she still likes other men.

"Don't think about him, Oscar is understanding and he won't know if I don't tell him." She answered me safely while letting out a wide sly smile.
