Chapter 4 Married 2

Bernard led us to a room where we were asked to sit down for some minutes. My heart had been thumping like it could jump out at anytime.

I still don't know if I'm making a mistake by marrying this man or not. I never want to end up like my mother. She was forced to marry my father and my father was the reason for her suicide. I can never forget that day . Only the thought of my mother's death is enough to make me cry. I could feel fresh tears trailing down my cheeks.

"Take" how did he know that I'm crying and why is he giving me a handkerchief. I felt like asking ,not that he will even answer me.

I sighed before taking the handkerchief."thank you" .

A woman who seems to be in her early forties walked up to us

"Goodday Mr Jasper and Mrs Celina I'm Bian please follow me" she spoke in a respectful and polite way.

We stood up and followed her to a room ,she sat down and started working on some files. Bernard brought out a file and handed it over to Jasper . What could be written inside this book not that it is even a marriage registration book.

He handed the file over to me.

" It's not too late to change your mind"I took the book and started reading it.

Rules to abid as a legal wife of Jasper

1 you are not allowed to touch my belongings

2 you must not leave my home unsupervised

3 never interfere in any of my personal affairs

4 my house my rules

5 you must be home before 6am

6 you're not allowed to talk when I'm talking

7 you ought not to be seen with any man be it a friend or family without my approval

Failure to any of this calls for punishment. I will compensate your...'

This is totally strict how could I abide by all these rules.

I looked at Jasper for more explanation but he spoke before I could open my mouth"you either sign this contract or you go it's still not too late to change your mind"

."no I will sign it" I picked the pen on the table and signed it. Bernard took the book and the woman who had brought us here earlier gave us a book .

Celina watched Jasper as he signed the book ,she did the same and hand it back to the woman. She stamped it.

"Congratulations Mr and Mrs Morgan" a tear dropped from Celina's eyes . She had never in her life dreamt of this kind of marriage. Was this the beginning of good or bad , am I making a right choice.will they stop looking for me .will my family forget me. Is my mother happy with what I'm doing. Could I go through this kind of life. Can I get used to his world.

Thousands of questions came flying into my mind. Not that I could even answer them . It's just a two months contract, I only need to bear.
