According to Cathy, she inhaled the scent of chocolate musk perfume that drifted off from Natalie as she smashed her body on top of hers and hugged her tightly.
"First, I went to the pharmacy to pick up some prescriptions. Also, because we were getting dangerously low on milk, I went grocery shopping."
"Let go," Natalie said as she pulled away from the embrace and uttered the command.
"Oh, when exactly are you going to eat the meal that corresponds to the Asr prayer?
Cathy questioned Natalie as she beamed a wide smile at her.
"Since it is only 2:00 in the afternoon, there is still time to pray before it becomes too late."
Natalie said.
"Are you able to locate mom?"
Cathy inquired while watching Natalie's ecstatic grin as a response to her question.
"She has finished taking her medication, and at this point she is able to relax and take it easy. She hasn't moved from the couch where she's been watching the Shrek series since you left for school; it's time for her to get some rest."
When Natalie sat down on the bed, she noticed that the mattress had a slight depression in it as a result of her weight.
"From the looks of it, you're in a pretty good mood today; what are you up to?"
Natalie stated seeing the glow that shone upon Cathy's face.
"Really, well, perhaps the glow was caused by the fact that I didn't get a good night's sleep,"
Cathy said.
"I do not believe that you are being totally truthful with me," Natalie said.
While she was talking, Natalie reached over and gave her a light pat on the ribs.
Cathy couldn't help but laugh out loud as she watched Natalie's response to Cathy's criticism of her behavior.
She responded with,
"Alright, I'll let you know, but only if you promise to stop poking my ribs."
Cathy said as she clenched her teeth and held her breath, doing her best to stifle the giggles that were beginning to take control of her body. Natalie has immediately come to a halt, and she is presently focusing all of her attention on Cathy.
"This evening is going to bring in a very significant new customer. The patron seems to be the owner of the club, and apparently not just this one; according to what I've heard, he owns all of the clubs in Los Angeles. It's possible that he owns more than one club in the city."
Cathy conveyed this information while wearing a wide grin across her face throughout the entirety of her speech.
"I'm going to assume that you are going to turn in your V card today, is that correct?"
Natalie remarked while adopting an arrogant stance and making a sneering face.
"There is no way in hell that I am going to let some strange and wealthy stranger cause me to lose my virginity. I still haven't given up on the idea that I'll meet someone who will complete my life and make it more meaningful."
Cathy remarked this as she observed Natalie demonstrating that she comprehended the situation by nodding her head.
Natalie and her mother were aware that throughout her entire life, she had never had sexual relations with a male partner, despite the fact that she had worked as a stripper. Even a man's kiss has never been bestowed upon her.
"If that's the case, then I don't understand why you're so giddy about it. You have an absolutely glowing appearance today."
During the time that Natalie was talking, she noticed Cathy smiling and laughing to herself.
"I do not know why, I have told you very seriously perhaps I am quite excited because of what is going to happen tonigh..."
"Cathy, in your opinion, what do you think is going to happen in the following moments? Is tonight going to be any different from the other nights, when you let yourself get lost in the enchantment of the music and let your feelings flow out through your body? Or, don't tell me, Cathy, but it seems as though you're already beginning to develop romantic feelings for the made-up hotel client or CEO. Don't tell me this!"
Cathy was in the middle of a sentence when Natalie, who was saying something, interrupted her.
"Natalie, hell no, I cannot be in love with some crazy rich dude whom I have never laid eyes on. I have never seen him, so stop say dreaming Natalie."
Cathy said as she bit her lip tight to prevent the laughter that was on the verge of escaping from her mouth.
"Alright, it's going to be a long day for you tomorrow, so make sure you get a good night's rest," Natalie said.
As Natalie was about to leave the room, she leaned over and gave Cathy a gentle peck on the forehead before bidding her farewell.
The words that Natalie had said kept playing over and over in Cathy's head, but she couldn't help but smile at her generous act.
Was she just pretending to be in love with the mysterious club owner, or did she actually feel romantic feelings for him?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The sound of her phone vibrating on the bed jolted her out of her dream, and as she opened her eyes to try to think more clearly, the phone began to vibrate once more. As she took hold of the phone, she let out a groan of exasperation, and as she looked at what was displayed on the phone, she felt her heart skip a beat at what was in front of her.
It was nine o'clock at night, and she was more than an hour late; she had received fifty missed calls, ten of which were from her boss, the remaining calls were from her friends, and the final call was from an unknown number.
She ran as fast as she could mustering up all of her strength to make it to the restroom, where she quickly grabbed hold of the shower head and gave herself a thorough shower. After that, she hurriedly stepped out of the bathroom completely naked, and as she did so, she wore her black yoga pants and a pink crop top, quickly wearing her pink sneakers, and then she took her ripped jeans jacket and put it on top of the crop top. Finally, after quickly brushing her hair and applying her deodorant, she grabbed her bag and phone and ran out from her residence.
As she was leaving the house, she greeted her mother and Natalie before announcing that she was going to work.
"I was under the impression that you always went to bed by ten or eleven at the very latest, but I see that you are going to the stripping club at such an early hour."
Maggie remarked this to Cathy as they were making their way to Cathy's car.
"Yes, but I won't be able to make it today because there is a very important person in town, and I'm going to be late by an hour and some minutes."
Cathy remarked as she started the vehicle and quickly beckoned to Natalie and her mother, who were standing nearby at the time.
"Take precautions and drive in a safe manner while you are behind the wheel."
Cathy was able to pick up on what her mother was saying, and as soon as she did, she quickly shook her head in response to what her mother had said.
Even though she plans to exercise extreme caution while driving, but she was not going to be safe for the night.
