Chapter 4 My Neighbor My Friend

After some few weeks of meeting Rebecca. The two became very close that they do almost everything together. Thomas was happy to see the changes in his sad and isolated wife. And she is now becoming free and open to the society.

Alice became so free with Rebecca that she confided in her, about her search for child for the past seven years of marriage.

Rebecca in the other hand sympathized with her, telling her not to worry much. That there's always a solution to every problem.

Hearing this Alice became curious

In finding out what Rebecca meant by that.

One day Alice and Rebecca went to the market together. Alice placed her fruit on a fruit counter. Customer was yet to come as the day was still early.

Sooner than later people started coming into the market, the market became very busy, at other side you can find people pricing things and others buying.

shop. Some buyers were also there. And the other side was a fabric shop, the trader has a beautiful piece of fabric.

"Seems the market is alot busy today?" Rebecca asked as she was looking at the beautiful pair of shoes the trader in front of Alice counter was selling.

"Yes the market is." Alice replied.

Some women where passing laughing and chatting as they were also carrying some beautiful handmade wooden clothes.

Then the kingdom announcer ran shouting. "the queen has given birth!! the queen has given birth!! rejoice for our kingdom has finally gotten an heir. for the prince is born!!"

The noise in the market became more loud as some people rejoice and some murmured.

Alice felt sadness and happiness at the same time. This made Alice to ask Rebecca what she meant by there's always a solution to every problem.

"Wow finally the king now has an heir, and the kingdom now has a prince isn't that amazing?" Rebecca asked.

"It is Rebecca. I just wish I could be like the queen."

Rebecca laughed loud to what Alice said.

Alice was curious on why Rebecca was laughing about what she had said, or is she mocking her?.

"What is funny?" Alice asked in a serious tone.

"Nothing my dear Alice. Just be yourself and don't be the queen because she has her own fate. Remember I told you that there is always a solution to every problem."

This made Alice more confuse.

"And what will be the solution to my big problem."

Rebecca turned Scanning the environment before answering Alice.

"Your solution lies in the forest of exchange."

Hearing this Alice eyes widened in shock.

"What?!! Forest of exchange? But it is forbidden to go into that forest. And no one goes in there and comes back alive or the same."

"Alice You worry too much leave it to me and I will help you with that or unless you don't want to give your husband a child, and you want him to get married to a younger woman who can bare him a child."

This made Alice scared because she never had the thought of her husband getting married to someone else because of a child.

"Hmm." Was all Alice could say.

"Alice think about it and if you are ready meet me tomorrow at the forest entrance by noon. But if you don't show up I will take that as a no."

"Okay Rebecca I will think about it."

"Good." Rebecca said with a smile then she continued with what she was doing.

Alice couldn't help but look at Rebecca, then realized that she knows nothing about her. 'who is she?' she asked inwardly. Alice inhale and exhale as she closed her eyes.
