Chapter 4 Who is the damsel

Matt's mouth fell open seeing the beauty in front of him and she smiled again making his heart flutter. He felt attached to her immediately. He tried to compose himself and walked closer to her.

"Hi, I'm Matt." He introduced himself while stretching his hand for a handshake.

"Hey, I'm Anna." She replied with a smile and took his hand.

Matt couldn't take his eyes off Anna because he has never seen a lady as beautiful as her. He could just help but kept holding her hand even when they were done shaking.

"Excuse me, you are still holding my hand," Anna said,

"Oh my, sorry about that," Matt replied and quickly let go of her hand.

"So who are you?" Matt managed to ask after a while. And she went on introducing herself and why she was there too.

Matt smiled as they both started up a little conversation before Matt later went back to the kitchen to get his breakfast. After taking his food he went straight to his room to eat. While he eats his mind still went back to Anna and he even felt super excited to see she was actually the one that the mean Mr. Walter has sent to watch over his house. He felt happy that she wasn't rude or mean but rather she was friendly and free. So he was really going to enjoy her stay there in the house. He sighed and continued eating his food. He still has some more work to do before he would be finally free from all his duties. He hurriedly ate his meal and took the bottle of water right next to him and zipped it down his throat.

He waited for a while before finally standing up from his bed to go and drop the plate in the kitchen. He walked slowly to the kitchen and met the cook there. She was actually washing the dishes when he walked in and also dropped his for her before going out.

He went back to his room and sat down to relax for a while but even words of master kept tormenting him even in his absence. The master had ordered that he pays close attention to the garden flowers, while he gave the orders, Matt almost questioned his boss at to why he didn't employ a Gardner, he seem rich and looks like he can afford at least 20 workers. But they were just three doing all the works. In a way he had been robbed his opportunity of being the head of the workers, a boss in a small way. Quickly he sprang up and headed to the garden.

Anna was in her room trying to settle in as her mind went to the guy she had met earlier in the house. She felt somehow drawn to him and wondered why. She doesn't easily like people, especially guys but she felt different about him. She was sitting in her bed tiredly like she had done some stressful work. She sighed and stood up reluctantly and walked over to her closet with her bags in her hand. She flipped it open and dropped her bags in before shutting it back. "I should probably go and find him because being in this room is so boring." She said to herself and started walking out of her room. She made her way to the sitting room and kept searching for Matt with her eyes but couldn't find him, after a while, she kept up on the search and decided to just go outside to take some fresh air. She slowly walked out and immediately her eyes cut sight of Matt beside the flowers and she smiled and started walking towards him. Immediately she got to where he was she stopped.

"Hey, Matt." She smiled at him.

"Hey Anna, what brought you outside?" Matt asked, holding the big scissors.

"I was just bored, so I decided to just come out and take some fresh air." She answered.

"Oh ok." He said,

"And you, what are you doing here with that?" She asked, pointing at the big scissors in his hand.

"Well I'm actually working, as you can see these flowers are overgrown so I'm actually trying to cut off the unnecessary grown parts." He replied.

"Oh ok, I would like to help you with it, hope you don't mind?" She asked.

"No I don't, here, have this." He said handing over the big scissors to her and she took them. It was a little heavy though but she managed to handle it.

She started cutting the overgrown flowers as Matt instructed her on how to go about it. She continued cutting them and Matt asked her some questions she doesn't just like talking much about herself but she didn't even ask Matt but he just started talking about himself and even told Anna about his mother. After some time she was finally done with cutting the flowers. Matt took the scissors from her and cleared off all the once in the ground and made the ground clean again. They both continued talking as they both went into the sitting room together. Matt went over to keep the scissors he had used and returned to her in the sitting room. Back outside they have both known some things about themselves. They had their seats together on a couch and Anna grabbed the remote control and turned on the TV. As they both focused their glances on the TV to watch what was on display.

They watched TV until it was noon and Matt knew it was time for him to resume working again. He excused himself from the sitting room and went over to the kitchen. He couldn't find the cook in the kitchen and didn't see the food which was made for the dogs either so he decided to wait.

The cook served Anna her lunch and walked back into the kitchen to see Matt waiting for her. Seeing him she knew what he was there for and she quickly dished it out to him. He took it and thanked her before walking out of the kitchen.

After Anna has spent a few days in the house their bond just keeps growing. They both spent almost all the time together. Whenever you see Matt, you would also see Anna beside him except when he was carrying out his duties.
