Chapter 3 3

Maxwell went back to Greenwood, at the airport were his men waiting to take him home.

When he got home, his mother was the happiest, she hugged him and got him to sit and tell her why he had overstay abroad, Maxwell knew his mother would not let him be if he didn't give her an excuse , but then if it was any other woman he would have lied but because it was Angel , he told her mother that he had found a woman he liked and he wanted to bring her home only that she was not done schooling, his mother was happy for her son , it was good that he found time to spend out of business and looking at his eyes she could see how they soft contrary to the cold and stern Maxwell. She asked if he had her picture, to her surprise the picture was his screensaver, she was a pretty young lady, she was satisfied with what she saw and echoed her son for choosing a beautiful woman.

At work Maxwell would sometimes space out thinking of Angel and smiling alone, Mark who was older than him understood that he was in love, he was happy for their ever prince, noticing that he also had a soft spot was something that would make him happy, he and a few of guards knew about Angel well and the fact that she was abled differently , Maxwell did not have many friends to share his joy with. One evening he met his business associate and only friend Martin , they had a deal to talk about, they went to a luxurious hotel and booked a quite room where they would do their business without disturbance. They were in the middle of the conversation when Martin who was also a no nonsense guy noticed that Maxwell had his full attention on his phone and grinning like an idiot. I thought we came here to avoid disturbances but i can see that your phone is the number one distraction , what's up? Martin asked, Maxwell didn't reply Martin got up and snatched his phone to see what was making the prince behave like a fool, what he saw surprised him, Maxwell was starring at a woman's picture it has never happened before , he was with many women before but he had never taken any of them seriously, so seeing his attention going to this particular woman was new.

As he wondered , Maxwell was staring at his empty hands , his phone was no longer there ,the way he looked at Martin you would think that his eyes can dig holes on his skin, he snatched back his phone , seeing his behavior Martin burst out laughing , he asked , are you being for real, Maxwell, a woman stealing your attention from such an important business deal, where will you get the ,money to spoil her if the deal doesn't go through,? Maxwell did not find that funny, he looked at his friend for a while before telling him that she has stolen his heart too , let alone attention, Martin chocked on his saliva, why am i hearing of this just now? , who is she and how and when did this happen? Maxwell told him about her and since he was a friend he could trust , he told him the part he had not tell his mother about Angel not being able to hear or speak, Martin was shocked , he could not believe what he was hearing , he thought Maxwell had a problem with his brain , are you sure of what you want? , he asked ,Maxwell was very solid with his decision that even after his friend tried talking him out of it, he could not listen , they parted on bad terms since Maxwell could not stand him saying unpleasing things about Angel

Martin wasn't a nosy person, he also was a very busy man he had no time for unnecessary things but today he was at the airport, with a serious face, he was waiting for Maxwell 's arrival, he wanted to be the first person to see the woman who had bewitched his friend despite the fact that she could not speak, he wondered if it was her actions or appearance that caught his attention but he would know all of that soon, he thought Max wasn't serious about her until he met him taking those classes, he thought he was bewitched, who would think that their mighty prince would go to that extent for love. Max had informed his men to be there on time to take them home and carry her bags as well.

Maxwell was very handsome and one could distinguish him from a distance, Martin saw him when he got off with a woman, they were holding hands affectionately, it was a beautiful scene to watch if the couple was normal, he would have supported them wholeheartedly but the situation is different, he also minded how the citizens would react, to him Max was making a bad decision, he would do his best to talk him out of it, or maybe warn her to stay away from the prince, he has been thinking she was after his money so he had the idea of offering her a huge sum to keep her off, that aside the couple was approaching, they had attracted the attention of many onlookers, some took pictures of them while others complemented that they looked good together, Maxwell was feeling on the sky, he smiled at her and gestured what people were saying she smiled back at him , that moment of exchanging smiles was beautifully captured by someone who later posted the picture on social media with no time the picture got thousands of likes and numerous comments, people recognized the man as the prince and this stirred the online, the picture was re-posted by many and is it became the trending topic and topped on the search list, the fact that he was their prince attracted the attention of many, the picture looked lovely, many said that the prince had good eyes, the woman was very beautiful. When they reached the exit ,they met martin who was waiting there, the moment he saw them at a closer distance, his jaws dropped, the woman's beauty was beyond explanation, no wonder his friend would stick to her, he compost himself quickly when he realized the look Max was giving him , he introduced himself as Maxwell and the prince's friend , Angel shook his had and nodded in acknowledgement, Max told him that this was the woman he had been talking about. In the midst of their conversation, his phone rang , it was his mother, she answered with a smile as if she was at his sight, without answering his greetings, she asked him to bring the lovely girl home , max asked how she knew he was with her yet he hadn't told her when he went out of the country, his mother acted surprised and asked , so you have not seen the trending topic, he said he was bringing her home and ended the call and then got on social media only to see his picture trending, the picture was taken not long ago in this airport, he smiled at the sight of it. He didn't like people talking about him on those platforms, in fact he avoids the media at every opportunity but this time he didn't feel annoyed finding people talking about him, rather he was happy, he could not understand the change in himself but he didn't mind, with that they got into their respective cars and went home the drive from the airport would take almost an hour.
